I brought my vehicle to the Jeep of concord for a fuel pump relay recall and oil change on 11/12/25. Prior to 11/12 the vehicle did not experience any of the issues described below. On 11/13/25, a dealership representative sent an inspection video stating the vehicle was in immaculate condition following the recall repair. However, within less than 24 hours, the check engine light illuminated, and
... additional issues began occurring intermittently. After the recall work, the vehicle began experiencing intermittent warning lights, including service four wheel drive, traction control, and check engine. These warnings appear unpredictably and are sometimes accompanied by loss of vehicle functions, creating unsafe driving conditions. The vehicle has also experienced overheating since these issues began. Sometimes turning the vehicle off and then on would temporarily correct the problem if it would recrank. The failures occur intermittently, making them difficult to reproduce or diagnose, and they pose serious safety risks, including the potential for sudden loss of power, steering assistance, or drivability while the vehicle is in motion. On multiple occasions, the issues have left me stranded. I returned the vehicle to the dealership on 1/8/26. On 1/9/26, I received an inspection video from the dealership identifying a transmission issue for the first time. The rep stated they “double-checked” the recall wiring but confirmed that no manufacturer engineer inspected the vehicle, despite my request to escalate this as a STAR case due to safety concerns. The intermittent warning lights, overheating, and transmission concerns remain unresolved and Stellantis refused to escalate the issue. The dealership currently retains possession of my vehicle. I am concerned the recall repair may have been performed wrong or inadequately inspected, resulting in ongoing intermittent safety-related failures affecting multiple vehicle systems. The contact noticed that the dealer service report stated that the contact had stated that the vehicle was experiencing rough shifting while idling; however, the contact had only described the incident to the dealer and had not mentioned rough shifting while idling. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact requested buy-back assistance. The manufacturer informed the contact that the buy-back request was denied because neither the State where the vehicle was purchased, nor the State where the contact resided, required the buyback of the vehicle. NHTSA SAFETY COMPLAINT – VEHICLE DEFECT Vehicle Information Year: 2023 Make: Honda Model: Civic Component: Steering System Recall Received: Yes – January 2024 Description of the Problem In January 2024 I received a manufacturer recall notice regarding a steering defect on my 2023 Honda Civic. Prior to and after the recall notice, I experienced repeated steering failures including the s
... teering wheel becoming loose, binding, locking during turns, and causing the vehicle to move in the opposite direction of steering input. I reported these issues numerous times to Anderson Honda. Despite being placed on a waiting list for over one year, no effective repair was completed until April 2025. After the recall repair was performed in April 2025, the steering defect continued. The steering wheel still becomes loose, binds during turns, and intermittently locks, causing unpredictable directional control. Incident Resulting From Defect On August 10, 2025, the unresolved steering defect caused a motor vehicle accident when the steering wheel locked and pulled the vehicle in the wrong direction during a turn. I sustained injuries to my neck, head, and back. My insurance carrier (GEICO) paid approximately $11,000 for vehicle body damage repairs related to this crash. Current Status / Ongoing Safety Risk As of January 2026, the steering defect has not been resolved and continues to occur. On January 14, 2026, the steering wheel again abruptly bound and shifted left while turning, this time with my son present in the vehicle, placing us in immediate danger. Honda Corporate has been notified and a case is currently open; however, no permanent repair has been completed and the vehicle remains unsafe to operate. Why This Is a Safety Concern This defect causes sudden loss of steering control and unpredictable vehicle direction. This presents a serious and ongoing risk of collision, injury, or death to myself, my passengers, and other motorists.Read more

My 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT (new vehicle, low mileage) has a persistent water intrusion/leak into the cab interior. Water appears at the top of the headliner/ceiling, specifically around the overhead console where the HomeLink garage door opener buttons and map lights are located. This occurs after rain events, heavy precipitation, and results in visible wetness, dripping, and staining o
... n the headliner fabric in the front overhead area. The leak is repeatable under wet conditions. It strongly suggests entry through the roof-mounted shark fin antenna (OnStar/XM/GPS antenna) seal or possibly the windshield-to-roof junction, as water migrates forward along the headliner to the overhead console area. This is a known issue pattern in prior GM trucks (e.g., 2014–2019 models with TSBs for shark fin antenna leaks causing headliner/overhead console drips), though not yet documented as widespread on the 2025 HD models. I took the vehicle to an authorized Chevrolet dealer for diagnosis and repair under warranty. The dealer performed an inspection but stated they could not replicate the leak during their test and therefore declined to perform any repairs, noting “unable to duplicate” on the repair order. Despite the waterline in the headliner and explaining the conditions (e.g., after heavy rain), no further action was taken. The issue continues to recur.Read more

The vehicle experienced vibration symptoms and stalled on the road. The day before it stalled, there were rattling noises which prompted me to take the car to the dealership the next day. I had just received the letter about the recall so I knew it was likely related. The car was towed to the Acura dealership but the dealership denied recall coverage, stating the engine number did not match the
... recall list. During the discovery process, it was later discovered that the engine had been swapped by the dealership in 2018 — a fact that was not disclosed to me at the time of my purchase. The installed engine still falls within the recall defect interval of 2015-2020 but they are resistant to repair. Upon initial inspection of the vehicle, the dealership found metal shavings in the oil indicating internal engine damage. The manufacture requested my oil change records suggesting that this was my fault. I presented the oil change receipts but they still refused recall coverage and the dealership requested approximately $5,000 for diagnostics, if determined my fault. If it is determined that the defect damaged the engine, they will cover the 5k. After several weeks of inspection and going through the manufacture recall process, the dealership determined the recall issue applies my car. However, due to the engine number not on the “list” they are denying my recall coverage. They are seeking $25k for service repairs. I am in Ohio where the damage was discovered my regular service dealer is in Illinois. 1)The service dealer in Illinois did complete the 60E5/60E2 recall. 2) the extend warranty % coverage should cover my car however I was told my VIN was not apart of the class action although the recall was performed an no record in the system with VW and if it were I would not be covered because I am 5 months out of the in service date. 3) the damage is ~ 3000.00 and increasing because now the sunroof switch doesn’t work and the screen is damaged from water. There is mold in my car which is a health hazard. I have exhausted trying to navigate through this issue! If my car was not apart of the class action it should have been. While performing routine maintenance on my 2018 Acura TLX, I discovered a critical structural failure in the front right (passenger side) lower control arm. The factory weld connecting the stamped steel control arm to the compliance bushing housing has failed and separated. Visual inspection reveals a clear manufacturing defect: there is a significant crater and void in the weld bead, indicative o
... f incomplete fusion or a "start/stop" error during the manufacturing process. This is a latent structural defect, not a stress fracture from mileage or impact. The weld has begun to separate from the housing, leaving a visible gap. Safety Risk: This failure compromises the suspension geometry and structural integrity of the vehicle. If the weld completes its separation while driving, it would result in the control arm detaching from the subframe, leading to immediate loss of steering control, wheel collapse, and a high probability of a collision. Status: No warning lights were illuminated prior to discovery. The vehicle has not been involved in any collisions that would affect this component. The defective part is currently on the vehicle but is available for inspection by NHTSA or manufacturer representatives upon request.Read more

Summary of Issue On [XXX], my family and I departed Kansas City, Missouri, for a camping trip to Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Cades Cove), Tennessee, approximately 800 miles away. We were towing a 2020 Forest River Salem FSX/RTX travel trailer, estimated at approximately 6,000 pounds loaded, using a Reese weight distribution hitch with integrated sway control. This load was well below the
... rated towing capacity of the vehicle. On [XXX], while driving without the trailer attached, the vehicle displayed multiple warnings including “Reduced Engine Power” and a transmission system alert. I immediately pulled over, shut the vehicle off, and restarted it. The warnings persisted. I cautiously drove approximately five miles to Twin City GMC, where the vehicle was diagnosed with a failed transmission valve body. Dealer and Manufacturer Response The service manager at Twin City GMC informed me that the required valve body was on national backorder, with multiple vehicles ahead of mine, and that wait times had reached up to three months. To confirm, I contacted Molle Chevrolet (Blue Springs, MO) and Randy Curnow GMC (Kansas City, KS). Both dealerships independently confirmed that this was a known and recurring issue, and that extended backorders for the valve body were common. I was informed that GMC could provide a daily rental allowance, but the rental vehicle would not permit towing. With my family, three dogs, and travel trailer stranded 800 miles from home, this option was not viable. As a result, I was effectively forced to trade in my truck and purchase a replacement vehicle to safely return home. Manufacturer Awareness and Complaint History GMC has demonstrated awareness of this issue through service bulletins, widespread owner reports, and media documentation addressing transmission valve body failures and parts shortages. My 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited has an ABS fault that has caused my vehicle to undergo several maintenance issues and poses a serious safety hazard. My vehicle has less than 150,000, and over the course of the last year, my ABS light, my emergency brake light, my TSC light, and my tire pressure sensor light have all come on and refuse to go away. Additionally, the maintenance light, along
... with a "CHECK VSC SYSTEM" message has been on my dash for months and will not reset. My ABS has been making an intermittent buzzing sound that cycles every ten seconds when my car is on. That has been going one since shortly before the lights. When the lights came on, I noticed a serious change in my braking. The pedal would become spongy one moment and rock solid the next, or my car would brake intensely with the lightest pressure or require my foot basically to the floor to stop it. This has caused a serious issue for the safety of myself and my family. After using and OBDII scanner with ABS capabilities, the codes I received point to the ABS assembly failing to retain pressure, hence the persistent cycling to compensate for it loosing pressure. This was confirmed after the battery voltage/connection, relays, fuses, and speed sensors had all been tested. After doing further research, several other owners of similar configurations to mine share the same issue. My dashboard even makes an incredibly distracting ringing noise that can only be stopped by removing all the fuses and relays to the ABS entirely. This has not been caused as a lack of proper maintenance as this vehicle has only been in my possession for the past 3 years, of which before it came from the Toyota dealership. The dealership wants over $3,000 to fix the issue, and the part alone is $1,850 since the part has been discontinued. This fix costs more than the car is worth given its age and mileage. During any inclement weather, or in traffic, the car is unpredictable in how hard it might brake.Read more

To Whom It May Concern: The purpose of my complaint is to bring to your attention reprehensible policies and misconduct displayed by the automaker, Acura, the premium subsidiary brand of the American Honda Motor Company. On 11/18/2025, I brought in my 2021 Acura TLX Tech w/SH-AWD in for a problem related to the brakes. The front brakes were and continue to make a jarring, very loud, high-pitched s
... queaking noise at low speeds. After 4 hours at Radley Acura of Falls Church, VA, the technician stated "could not duplicate" the concern. The problem persisted and I again returned on 12/18/2025 for the same issue. My vehicle has been at the dealership awaiting a response from Acura Client Relations on a claim that I submitted on 12/19/2025. Radley Acura diagnosed the issue as a well-known defect of 2021 TLX models, as evidenced by Acura's own service bulletin describing the very issue I continue to experience (and yet were unable to diagnose on 11/18). Radley Acura is stating that although my vehicle is 28,000+ miles UNDER the manufacturer's warranty, that by time, since purchase, it is outside the manufacturer's warranty by approximately 6 months. However, on 1/27/2025 (when my car was within manufacturer warranty and only had 17,215 miles on the odometer), I completed a lease buyout of my car. In addition, I paid to have it Acura Precision Certified. As part of this paid certification, Radley had my car for over a day to allegedly perform a 182-point inspection, and address a recall open for over a year (with a remedy from Acura - but allegedly no available repair parts to fix my car, until I requested to CPO my at the time of lease buyout). During their CPO inspection, the dealership failed to address the open service bulletin on the front brakes--a documented issue Acura has been aware of since before 2/15/2022, as established by their service bulletin. Now the dealership is stating the manufacturer's defect that they failed to address is $500 out of pocket expense.Read more

... ound $4,000.00 against a $11,000.00 repair estimate by the dealer. How is it possible that these trucks have not been recalled? My internet research in the last month or so since the problem occurred reveals that this is a well known problem with the 10 speed transmission in question. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to any comments you may have.Read more

Please see attachment: To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally request NHTSA’s review and further action regarding Ford Motor Company’s handling of Safety Recall 23V‑896 and 23S-65, affecting my 2021 Ford F‑150 (F1 3509). I appreciate NHTSA’s oversight of this recall; however, based on my direct experience and the technical information available, I believe the current remedy st
... rategy leaves owners exposed to ongoing safety risks. My vehicle experienced fractured rear axle hub bolts, a failure mode that Ford’s defect report attributes to micro‑movement and backlash between the axle shaft splines and the wheel‑end hub splines. This movement leads to loss of clamp load, fretting wear, and ultimately bolt fatigue and fracture. The fractured bolts on my truck confirm that this failure chain had already progressed to an advanced stage. Ford performed what they describe as an interim repair, which consisted of replacing the fractured bolts and inspecting the hub and axle components. However, Ford has acknowledged that the final remedy is not yet available, and that the interim repair does not address the underlying design issue that allows spline movement and progressive wear. As a result, the same conditions that caused the initial failure may reoccur. From a mechanical and safety standpoint, replacing bolts without correcting the root cause — the loss of clamp load and resulting spline backlash — does not eliminate the defect. It merely resets the system temporarily. Ford’s own documentation confirms that the interim repair uses the same bolt design, with the same torque and elongation characteristics, and therefore the same long‑term vulnerability.Read more

I had been driving my 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE with 46k miles that I just got for about two weeks, so about 10 days out of the 14 i actually drove it from home to work and back home. Within those 10 days driving the SUV, 8 mornings and one afternoon the highlander engine had issues accelerating and shifting gears. Basically when pulling out on to a highway from a side street coming down a hill w
... hen pressing the gas to enter the highway and flow of traffic the engine stuttered from zero to 20mph causing the entire SUV to jerk repeatedly and the gears would have issues shifting from first to second. I had to let my foot off the gas pedal then press again repeatedly as the SUV kept jerking trying to accelerate forward stuck no more than 20 mph for 30 seconds then started to even out and climb up after a minute. I have caught this on video twice. This has caused me to hold up traffic on the highway behind me with no where to pull off because my particular side street comes out from a gulch cliff side. No check engine lights came on each time. I took it to an auto shop that did a minor test drive and suggested it go directly to Servco Toyota as it should have powertrain warranty on it still and they believed it was a fuel pump issue. The issue did not happen with this auto shop but I showed them the video. I scheduled an appt at Toyota and it is with them now. They did 2 test drive but could not replicate the issue and could not see any codes coming up. I opted to leave the vehicle with them to do more test drives where the issue has happened as I do not feel safe driving it and the manager also said they did not feel safe having their techs drive it so the manager will do it. Without check engine light/code they are saying they cannot check the fuel pump or do anything else but will try to do more test drives to replicate the issue. I have seen numerous Reddit, facebook group posts, and a petition about this same issue but no official recall or word from Toyota.Read more

Leased this car 1 year ago and it is currently in the repair shop for the 2nd time in a year for the same battery problem: battery won't charge and an error notice on the dashboard that says " Service high voltage system. Reduce acceleration. Drive with care". The first time the shop said that it was a software issue and fixed it. Now the shop is saying that the car needs a new battery. The er
... ror notice came up while I was on a road trip and I felt unsafe knowing that the battery could fail or combust while driving. Also, I did not feel safe having the reduced acceleration in effect while I was on the freeway where acceleration can be essential to match traffic and evade accidents.Read more

The manufacturer refuses to process the 68c recall. The car was purchased from a dealer in Canada in 2021. I purchased it in 2025 and imported it to Poland. Currently, the car is registered and used in Poland. The dealership refused to process it. He suggested I take the car to North America and have the recall performed there.
