Suddenly the gas engaged and I shot into the traffic trying to avoid me. I took the car home, parked it in the garage and called a local dealership for service explaining the problems I was having. I went to resume my trip in a friends car because I was frightened to drive mine. While I was away my partner went to move the car a few feet to get to the trash barrel and when he put it in reverse the car shot 8 feet at high speed out of the garage and hit a tree. He went to the hospital and the car was taken on a flatbed to the dealership where I purchased it. There is considerable damage. The acceleration problem happened at least 15 times and I have several adults that were in the car and witnessed it. Chrysler did the diagnostics and said there is no defect. Wagoneer is impeding my business and my business revenue because I cannot drive this car safely. I have been paying $1500 payment for two years and have never had a car that worked 100% properly. Incident happens every 1k miles or more. Car is in motion driving. Press down on throttle and transmission drops to 1st gear. A bunch clicking and thumping sounds are heard. Car doesnt accelerate(can be at 70mph), starts to slow quickly until gears change. Also 4H is jerky as well as sport mode. Very unsafe to be traveling on the highway trying to overtake a vehicle and then your car fails.

On April 25th, 2024 on Interstate 75 in Findlay, OH my truck had the back end lock up briefly and started to hop and fish tail. ... towed back to my house and I went to check for codes with my snap-on computer and no codes were present. I started the truck up and no issues were noticed. I took the vehicle to a local repair shop for further investigation. The rear differential was drained as was the transmission oil. Also the brakes were inspected. The mechanic didn't find anything that could explain the issue. He saw a rear brake pad that wasn't moving as freely as it should but explained that didn't sound like that's what the issue was. Nothing abnormal was noticed in the differential fluid or transmission fluid either. I know that Fords are having issues with the transmission shifting into first gear on its own and am wondering if that is the true issue. That is the only thing that explains what happened that day. The truck is currently running ok. I talked to the Ford dealership today and they said that they would have to confirm that that is what is happening, but it sounds highly likely that that is what happened and since the truck is currently not covered under the current recall the bill would be around $3400. At a four way stop, four cars were stopped waiting for a car with right of way to turn left. Car turning left hesitated. I began to accelerate since myself and another car going straight had next right of way. Another car began to enter intersection so I let off the throttle and began to apply brakes for them to clear the intersection. This car also stopped seeing me begin to go so I hit the throt

I applied upwards of 50% throttle while the truck did nothing for approximately 2 seconds. I let off the throttle completely, for approximately 1 second and hit the throttle again to about 50% to quickly clear the intersection and not cause further confusion. The truck then lurched forward and accelerated rapidly where I had to again back off the throttle. This has happened multiple times. Another time turning left directly into the road (no intersection) pulling out of a shopping center. Pressed the throttle to about 50% after a slight hesitation to check traffic and clear oncoming traffic and the truck did nothing for approximately 2 seconds leaving me partially in the road waiting for acceleration. Let off throttle completely for 1 second and pressed again 50% and truck lurched forwards. Too close of a call for comfort.Read more

Ford Explorer 2021 recall stems from a defective rear axle horizontal mounting bolt. Ford Motor Company has promised to cover the cost of replacing the subframe bushing and the rear axle bolt and repairing any resultant damage. The dealer, Payne Ford Weslaco, the Tech broke a tool to fix and Ford has failed to replace said tool.

The situation occurs when using supercruise (GM’s lane centering and adaptive cruise control system). Under certain conditions with super cruise engaged and one pedal drive mode active, pressing the cancel cruise button (example: taking manual control briefly in order to allow a merging car into your lane) causes the vehicle to abruptly decelerate without the ability to override with the pedal.
... This uncontrollable abrupt deceleration poses a hazard to vehicles behind me. This deceleration can only really be overridden by proactively pressing on the accelerator prior to disengaging the super cruise system. I suspect this problem is caused by logic in the super cruise system which does not allow the vehicle to accelerate while the steering wheel is flashing red (such as during disengagement). Generally, removing the flashing red condition from the steering wheel requires applying torque to the steering wheel. However, this is not practical when driving straight and needing to disengage the system. The supercruise system needs to be able to safely and properly disengage at the press of a button without needing to step on the accelerator. I believe that disengaging supercruise without pressure on the accelerator pedal should lead to the car defaulting to going into maximum one pedal braking yet still being able to accelerate on command if needed. The current state of the system requires torque on the steering wheel in order to be able to accelerate out of such a situation.Read more

Whenever I attempt to make a normal right or left turn, my car hesitates for approximately three seconds before abruptly accelerating into the intended lane. This delay leaves me temporarily stuck in the middle of the opposite lane, creating a hazardous situation. The dealership diagnosed it as turbo lag and recommended against using Sam's Club gas, but the issue persists and has worsened. The car became inoperable because the driver’s seat can’t be moved forward to a position where I could reach the gas and brake pedal. I contacted Tesla service and was told to delete the driver’s profile and create new one , power off the screen, power cycled the car. I’ve done all of that but the problem kept happening on and off. The car was scheduled to be looked at by Tesla on 6-20-24 but the accident happened on 5-28-24. We’d like to find out the root cause of the accident whether the car has any malfunction that could’ve triggered the sudden unintended acceleration. At this point the brake pedal was hard and would not move, my back left wheel was completely locked. I shut the vehicle down waited a few minutes and restarted it, all of the lights were still active but I was able to move the vehicle. I began traveling forward and the rear wheels alternated locking up. I started backing up to move to a safe position, the brake pedal became hard and I was unable to stop causing my vehicle to collide with a wall, speed was below 5 miles an hour but still caused damage to my left rear quarter panel and fiberglass top. After we assessed the damage, I put the vehicle in 2 Wheel Dr., disconnected the battery for 30 minutes, and was able to drive the vehicle to a parking lot in 2 Wheel Dr. After this point and not having phone service, use a satellite communicator to call a local off-road recovery nonprofit that I volunteer for, they were able to assist in bringing a trailer out to tow my vehicle home as it is unsafe to drive and my children were with me. Unloading the vehicle off the trailer all the lights were gone with the exception of a check engine light is now on. Who put the MyKey on here? It restricts the speed which you can go, only allows the radio so high, and you have to be buckled for the radio to play its crazy. So I call the dealership which I bought it from, Hendrick, my car was used and had about 39k miles on it. They don't know about MyKey either they sell used cars, but their main cars are Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Ram. The used car guy said he would pay 200 for the key but not the labor that we had our car long enough it was time we took responsibility for it. Fast forward I reach out to Ford. The lady at Ford who said she was just a media specialist says oh just pay the money and keep the receipt. That if Ford does a recall in the future you will be reimbursed. I told her that this response was unsatisfactory as it creates a safety issue. I told her I was taking the car to Ford for recalls that needed to be fixed the next week and I would asked them how it got set. She didn't know how it got set either. The previous Ford dealership said he didn't know and that it could have been the previous owner but he couldn't confirm. So I went to the Ford dealership in Auburn this time to have the recall fixed and the lady at thr service center said yes the MyKey is only activated off the Ford app. My wife nor myself had the Ford app at the time this started which means the previous owner still had access to my key and set these limits. Thankfully, there was no harm to anyone but my confidence in Mazda. But, if I had chosen to pick my children up through the pick-up line, I may have easily hit the car in front of me or a child! Obviously, this can be a tragic situation. Prior to this incident, I have felt that the car regularly does not operate smoothly at slow speeds, especially when accelerating from stop. This is my 3rd Mazda, and I have never felt this lack of control before. I have also noticed that the i-stop works erratically, including when I am moving at 10-30 mph. The light goes on and off when I am slowing down at a light, etc. Plus, when I am stopped at a light, the i-stop will go on for about 20 seconds, then suddenly turn off and the engine will rev up. Yes, I bought a brand new 2020 Jeep Compass North Edition from a Wisconsin dealer in June 2020. I drove across country to Utah where I know reside. Had no problems on that trip. About 10 months later I started experiencing a "High temp coolant" light come on and the vehicle shuts off and locks up. Very dangerous while driving. After about 30 seconds I could restart it. It happened about 10 times.
... Then another alarm came on stating "Service electronic throttle control." As well as the "High temp coolant" warning. Milage at this time was 21K. Took it to a dealership because of the extended warranty I purchased. They replaced both batteries but could not get it to "error out" again. They also stated that there were no error codes stored in the memory, even though I had pictures of the dash showing the error codes. I could not get a picture if the "High temp coolant" error because it happens so fast while driving. So, I took it back 2 more times when it did it again. The first time they said I had a cracked head and replaced it, but 2 days later it shut off again with the "High temp coolant" error. No answers or explanation for this issue again. The last time they charged me over $250.00 for a diagnostic charge and an air filter. Still continues to shut off periodically. It's very disheartening to buy a new vehicle with an extended warranty and have this dangerous situation happen while driving with children in the vehicle. Why doesn't Jeep stand behind their vehicles and fix this issue or recall these vehicles? Does it take someone to be killed and they have a class action lawsuit against them to do something? Wouldn't it be better to be proactive then sorry? I am scared to drive this vehicle other than to work and back because of this issue.Read more

There is NO "rubber" pedal on the gas pedal. Foot easily slips off "metal" pedal whether shoe is dry, wet, muddy snow encased, etc. Unable to maintain positive pressure on gas pedal as shoe/foot easily slips off. It jumped the curb, crossed the sidewalk, and hit a large commercial postal mailbox knocking it off of its base in the concrete. The car has a digital speedometer that can be switched from MPH to KPH through the settings (but it takes several steps) but one day my wife was driving and the units had switched and she didn't know so was not driving at the expected speed. I know of no "shortcut" to switch it quickly. I posted the question on an "Ariya forum" and at least 6 other owners said they experienced similar.
