A redesign in the left and right handle controls of the Harley 2014 model’s, the Press to Talk (PTT) button and Cruise Control buttons were switched from the left hand grip to the right throttle/brake hand grip. The PTT button is used for the Citizens Band (CB) radio. The PTT button had always been located on the left hand grip and the Cruise Control button had always been located on the right
... throttle/brake hand grip. In order for the operator to use the CB to talk, the PTT button is used. To activate the PTT button, the operator’s right thumb is used. When performing this action the operator needs to remove the thumb from the right hand grip and press the PTT button, and maintain continuous pressure to the button in order to talk using a motorcycle helmet microphone. The PTT button is the farthest button from the right hand grip at 2 ½ inches. Because the right thumb is removed from the right hand grip, the operator no longer has a grip on the right hand grip for only 4 fingers are on the grip. This is not safe for the operator when controlling the vehicle. The right hand grip has the throttle control and has the brake lever. When using the throttle control, you grip the right hand grip, with all fingers and thumb, and twist the grip to accelerate, decelerate or maintain speed. This setup, when using the PTT button, the operator no longer can maintain speed, accelerate or decelerate the vehicle because the operator does not have a grip on the right hand grip, only 4 fingers. The operator also cannot use the brake lever because the operator does not have a grip on the right hand grip. This setup, when using the brake lever the operator only uses 4 fingers to apply pressure while maintaining their thumb on the PTT button. The operator cannot safely use the PTT button while operating the right throttle/brake grip on the right hand grip. Harley Davidson provided an update to the 2014 models but not for the 2021 models, the update switched the buttons back correctly.Read more

... the check engine light. After starting and restarting the bike several times it cleared, and I rode the bike to the hotel (approx. 10 miles) and then it failed again. My assessment is as follows: This motor is mounted to the rear underside of the engine and moisture can infiltrate and cause intermittent or complete failure. Possibly from a bad gasket? I had ridden 260 miles that day in the rain while on a trip. After stopping for an hour then restarting the bike, the failure occurred. It wouldn't go into gear (it's a DCT - automatic) and the warning lamps were flashing (see attachments). I was able to eventually, after several restarts of the engine, to get the bike drivable and get to my hotel where it failed again. Fortunately, it didn't fail while in motion or under acceleration, but it can. In fact, Honda mentions that in the owner's manual, page 181.Read more

I then looked up recalls and my VIN wasn't confirmed.. but I am certain it is the same issue . You do have a open recall for this very particular issue for my particular model . ... and the recall description matches exactly what happed. The dealership told me it will take them 6-8 weeks before they can even diagnosis the car for that recall. I am stuck without a car, and I am lucky no one was injured. People with this type of Ford ecoboost need to be made aware they are driving a vehicle at any moment can have total engine failure putting lives in danger. When I received the original recall letter, I called Five Star Ford in April to set the appointment, and they told me they are not taking those recall repairs right now and to call back at another time. I called back in May and was told they are still not taking repairs for that recall, to call back 3rd quarter of 2024. You can see that Ford has put lives in danger if others who called for the repaired was turned away as well.Read more

It also has a P2019 DTC CODE related to the intake manifold flow control valve/position sensor, also called known as a IMRC valve/sensor (typically located at one end of the intake manifold) which helps the vehicle’s PCM control the amount of air being allowed into the engine at various RPMs. This code is set for Bank 2 errors. This is a safety issue as my vehicle slowed down and experienced significant power loss on the highway. FORD is aware of this problem with defective parts and has not issued a recall. On [XXX], around 8 PM, I was driving north towards DeLand, Florida on the highway at approximately 70+ miles per hour when my 2024 Honda Prologue started to slow down on its own. The air conditioning system shut down, and a warning displayed on the dash: “Service High Voltage System.” I immediately drove home and contacted CarSafely, fearing that the car might become stranded and was not safe

The following morning (Tuesday, [XXX]), around 8 AM, I emailed and called the Coggin DeLand Honda service department, informing them of the issue and sharing photos and a video of the incident. The error/warning disappeared after turning the vehicle on and off several times. Coggin advised me to bring the car in the next time the warning appeared on my dashboard. On Thursday, [XXX], around 12 PM, I was driving on [XXX] towards Daytona Beach at around 70 mph when the vehicle suddenly slowed down again. The air conditioning system shut down, and the service warning “Service High Voltage System” appeared on my dashboard once more. I immediately got off the highway and stopped at a safe location to turn off the vehicle and document the error and warning on my dashboard. I emailed Coggin DeLand Honda again to inform them of the issue. On Friday, July 5, 2024, I took the car to the Coggin DeLand Honda service department, where they connected the vehicle to their computer for a diagnosis. The service department detected the error and reset/cleared the error code. However, the service tech informed me that they could not fix the issue due to insufficient information, as the vehicle was built by GM (General Motors Corporation). They advised me to return directly to the dealer without an appointment if the error reappeared. I have been receiving warning messages on my dashboard regarding Service The Stabilitrak, followed by Traction Control Off message and then vehicle shaking, losing steering power and engine shutting down for over a year. This poses a risk to the vehicle occupants safety because when unexpectedly and suddenly losing engine power, steering and traction control all at the same time, it is very difficult to safely merge to the shoulder of a roadway. I have been left stranded in many locations including out of town. Due to my research this is a common issue with this vehicle that can be caused by multiple issues. I also have a recall on my air bag and warnings have appeared on my dashboard that has no remedy yet. The vehicle is not safe to drive and I depend on this SUV to transport my family of 7. I am also still financing, making it difficult to keep up with payments while trying to diagnose/ repair.Read more

I had just started the car and driven less than half a mile in a 35 MPH zone when the acceleration gave out. Vehicle would not go over 20 MPH, engine did not rev up when gas pedal depressed. ’ve replaced the catalytic converter two times , the check engine light is on so it says I need another catalytic converter, that was in June 2024. Started car. Pulling out of garage going forward. Pushed the cruise control button on steering wheel instead of radio volume button by accident. Car suddenly began to rapidly accelerate. Took me a second or two hit brake to stop car. Pushing brake did stop car. If you activate the cruise control with the car running and in drive at any speed under 20 mph the car will accelerate to 20 mph.
