The car was giving me an issue with the Forward Radar blocked which was coming and going as if the radar was loose. This issue persisted for a week and the error was still coming and going after every 10-15miles of drive. Later after a week the error was constant screen and the radar is still intact to the car. They will simple reset the codes and say uts an intermittent failure and charge you 100 dollars for nothing. While driving with the cruise control set, at times the care must sense that there is an issue ahead and slams the brakes on. This has happened on numerous occasions. After paying the amount, I found that VW issued a recall/bulletin for this very problem - VWP-23-03 for my model year (VW Tiguan 2019). I contacted VW but they refused to honor the warranty claiming that the warranty does not apply to my VIN. It seem obvious to me that this is the same exact problem as described in the bulletin VWP-23-03. I feel like VW has made a mistake by not applying this bulletin to my VIN number (and probably others) and is endangering motorists that would otherwise get this serious issue fixed during regular maintenance.Read more

The dealership then tells us that it is a
... ctually due to the transmission chain, and our transmission will need to be replaced for $8900!! So I begin to dig online, and find that our model is the same years of other Toyota models that Toyota has a KNOWN problem with. This is a major issue, and puts our safety at risk if the transmission just suddenly goes out. The Toyota dealership has confirmed that we have an issue, and are saying that the transmission MUST be replaced, effectively decommissioning our work commuter vehicle until we can get this sorted. It was diagnosed by a licensed Toyota technician, but it can be inspected by a insurance rep/mechanic upon request. There were no warnings, no lamps, no codes. We just heard the noise, which is seemingly getting worse and louder. Which appeared about 7/15/24. The car has had it's routine maintenance done per the manufacturers specifications. The fluids are routinely checked, and it is taken in to a Toyota dealership for it's servicing, with certified maintenance records. It was never noted on oil changes that this was an issue, or that the transmission fluid was ever an issue. We do not drive this car hard, we do not abuse it. It is our commuter. And now we are looking at having to replace the transmission for essentially the same cost as the car itself.Read more

The car stopped less than 10 feet from the bank entrance. the car came close to going through the entrance shattering the glass doors and possibly injuring bank customers and employees. There was no warning, but this car has had 3 or 4 sudden engine surges before - about one every 1 1/2 years. Hyundai service has checked and denied any problems. On line queries indicate the surging problems are not uncommon. They happen without warning and result in serious injury and damage to people and property. Hyundai is stonewalling. Other drivers have similar events occur for sudden unintended acceleration (SUA) and suggest problems with the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) including throttle position sensors. Our Palisade has less than 40,000 miles on it and has been well maintained, but Hyundai people refuse to acknowledge any problems - my wife and I consider that this car is a potential death machine.Read more

The dealer, asking like it was an oil change, asked if I wanted a new $9k transmission. As I can't afford anywhere near that, nor is the car worth it, I was required to drive it home from the dealership, again putting my life at risk. IN ADDITION - a recall repair was requested (the driver door wiring harness) - and the dealership told me that it was completed. They did not complete this recall either. Nissan should not be allowed to make vehicles in the USA. If they actually stood behind their product and made repairs and replacements when there are manufacturing issues, I would feel much better about the situation. In order to stop the vehicle, I need to press down on the brake pedal very very hard and use the emergency brake. It is not safe to drive, and it is a substantial and costly problem with the vehicle to repair. I would like my car to be part of that recall program, or at least be able to be recalled for this issue in which there is already an open recall, except not for my specific variety of the 2010 Ford Fusion. I traveled over a curb, on some pavement, through some bushes, knocked down a light pole and miraculously came to a stop. My foot was pumping the brakes to no avail. I had noticed prior to the engine failure that my fuel economy was not going down with driving, but rather up, which made me suspicious. Stop and go City driving should not increase fuel economy in the manner which it was. I became nervous about fuel amounts. My last three fill ups were about 6 gallons only after driving 250 miles, equating to 40 mpg, which is way higher than any reported mpg estimate I have a customer care rep and case with VW. Service Advance Trac System warning light illuminated while driving about 60 MPH in gusty wind. Cruise Control and Hill Assist became inop. I do see that Ford has a service bulletin, SSM 49349 which describes this exact problem and states that Ford "...engineering is working to implement a solution for this condition...", and advises that the dealer "...schedule a follow-up appointment for service in March 2021". I have not found any additional information from Ford about a fix for the problem....now 3.5 years later.Read more

On three occasions in the last 1000 miles, my 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid's Cruise Control has jumped to 110 mph and refused to accept user input. Turning Cruise Control off and back on again, it jumps back to 110mph immediately (got video). ... g and not working with any phone we put with it, and the second concern is the accelerator will randomly quit working which can be dangerous. This is our only car for transportation. I took the car to the dealership to be fixed and spoke with a service employee. He told us that the issues were not acting up at the time of the visit so he couldn't fix anything. I then insisted I take his mechanic on a test drive with me where both issues presented, and they reported they would file a claim with Toyota. After several days of not hearing anything, I called the Service department manager, who did not answer, so I left a voicemail, and he never returned my call. The dealership never offered a loaner vehicle, or any solutions. I then contacted Toyota cooperate to seek further assistance with my concerns on 07//31/2024 at 17:56 pm CST and spoke with a Toyota Customer Advocate. She promised that Corporate would call us within 1-2 business days to follow up. We have yet to be contacted by the dealership or corporate as of 08/09/2024. The case number for this case is: [XXX]. The car is under bumper-to-bumper warranty and the dealership and corporate will not contact us back or offer a loaner car or any solution.
