Issue happens whenever I use adaptive Cruise control for any extended period of time. Typically occurs in less than an hour. The vehicle will be in active cruise mode and then the cruise control will suddenly shutoff and a few beeps are heard. I am unable to reactivate cruise control until I perform a key cycle at which point the cruise can be activated again.

I was driving my vehicle on a freeway with 3 passengers when i heard a muffled pop or thud from behind me. A rear passenger confirmed that it came from beneath the rear seat towards the left side of the car. The vehicle speed immediately dropped to less than 40 mph and a warning message appeared on the dash "Check electric vehicle system". I later noticed a red battery icon appear on the left

I feel that this sudden reduction in speed is a safety issue because I could have been driving at a higher speed (65-70 vs 45-50). Following cars may not have been able to stop in time, or I cuold have been forced to attempt to get off the road by entering lanes with vehicles travelling at a much faster speed. I was about 5 miles away from home on the start of a 400 mile trip so decided to turn around. Back at home I discovered that a new DTC code had been thrown during or after this event - P1A9096. I transferred to another person's cart to complete the trip, and on return arranged for the car to be transported to a manufacturer recommended dealership to check the issue. The Dealership service department conducted diagnostic tests and determined that the issue was caused by an ICCU failure. The have placed an order for a replacement ICCU unit and fuse. Prior to this event there had been no dash light warnings or trouble codes thrown.Read more

None of these components have been inspected or serviced to my knowledge. The dealer has dismissed the problem every time and has been unable to fix or reproduce the problem on demand. The random frequency of this problem can easily lead to a significant accident for the driver or others in the vicinity. I also find it very frustrating that they park the broken defective vehicles at the very back of the dealer lot to hide the graveyard of 6.2’s from the public. On April 13, 2026, I brought my 2019 Honda Odyssey to a Honda dealership in Chicago, IL for a dealer-initiated recall service. The dealer contacted me and asked me to come in. Before the recall service, the vehicle had zero warning lights, zero error codes, and was operating completely normally. ... ard: Brake System warning, Hill Start Assist Problem, VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) warning, and additional stability/steering system warnings. None of these warnings existed before the service. I returned to the dealership the same day. The service team cleared all error codes. However, within minutes of driving off the lot, all warning lights reappeared. This confirms the issue is persistent and not a one-time post-update self-check. I returned a second time. The service manager stated the warnings were not caused by the recall service and refused to investigate further. The dealer quoted $800 for diagnostic work. I also contacted American Honda by phone and was told they could not intervene. With the Brake System and VSA warnings active, the anti-lock braking system and vehicle stability control may not be functioning properly. This puts me and other drivers at risk, especially in emergency braking situations and on slippery roads. This pattern of multiple safety warnings appearing immediately after recall service on 2019 Honda Odysseys has been reported by other owners. The radar cruise control system on my 2017 Toyota Highlander is not functioning properly and creates a safety hazard. When initially setting the radar cruise control, the system works as expected. There were no sufficient warnings prior to the event to allow safe planning or avoidance of the loss of power condition. The system activation itself (P1326 and limp mode) was the first indication of the severity of the issue. The problem has been reproduced multiple times, with repeated P1326 events occurring after the initial incident. The condition has been inspected and partially confirmed by a Hyundai dealership. In March 2026, dealership records documented that oil contamination was causing catalytic converter failure, indicating ongoing engine-related deterioration consistent with the defect condition identified by the knock detection system. Despite these findings, the underlying engine condition has not been resolved. The KSDS system is designed to detect a potentially serious engine defect and limit engine power to prevent further damage. However, it does not correct the underlying defect. As a result, the vehicle may continue to operate with a known compromised condition that can trigger reduced power unexpectedly. This creates an ongoing safety concern. A vehicle that can suddenly lose acceleration due to a known defect presents a risk to the driver, passengers, and other motorists, particularly during freeway driving, merging, or other situations requiring normal engine performance. I have bought between Goodyear, Michelin, and Pirelli tires they also replaced a turbo, only for a few months later to have a pressure problem that Findlay Honda found I was missing an oring in the turbo or intercooler.
