While traveling at highway speeds behind a slow poke, 2 cars passed me on either side at nearly the same time. this caused the auto braking system to activate, abruptly slowing my car for now reason. i was driving on the highway at 50MPH in 5th gear. the truck goes in neutral on its own and then 1st gear for about two seconds and then back to 5th gear. the ground was wet and the rear tires skid. i believe that's what prevented the tires locking up and getting out of control it was a very scary situation that could have ended very bad.

... has no remedy for the vehicle issues, we are now losing out on any sort of trade in value, and are expected to pay the mileage over the lease agreement for a car that will be scrapped once returned. The dealer can only do so much, but Volkswagen not stepping in to acknowledge the vehicle at this point is a lemon and they do not know how to fix it or others, but expecting us to pay "depreciation" and other fees for a totaled vehicle, totaled due to their issues, is unacceptable. It's one thing for defects, another to not be able to fix them and them dump the cost to the consumer. This vehicle has been a financial burden and for the last few months has been a safety concern, and the final result is we as the consumer have to pay the price for it. Fix your design flaws, take responsibility, or don't sell consumers defective products with no support/solutions and dump costs on them. The fact one open recall means the vehicle could lose all electronics (an electric car) and have no insight into vehicle controls while driving, but we have to pay for the defect upon return is ridiculous. Lemon law will be coming into play here as no solution to the issue or remedy for the costs incurred. Being that this could have caused an accident or otherwise harmed my family or others and again the cost is dumped on us is ridiculous. If the engineers in Germany cannot fix the vehicle and have no solution, take it off the roads and find us a solution, at your cost not ours.Read more

My car is too dangerous to drive when this software failure occurs--which sometimes happens while driving nd immediately affects the drivability and safe operation of the car. When it happens, nearly all the warning lights and messages start blinking and cycling while driving. After I downloaded the data report, it shows no data 2 hours before and after the time of the incident. When I tried to retrieve the video on the replay function in the vehicle, the video was not there anymore. Fortunately, my husband recorded the video on his phone and I have a copy of the video. I feel very disappointed and frustrated with how Tesla handled the issue. If they are not at fault, how come the data report and video are not available? I filed a claim under my auto insurance policy and got the vehicle fixed. This sudden unintended acceleration happened to me back in June when the vehicle accelerated by itself to 41mph. My daughter, who was sitting next to me in the front passenger seat, saw my foot was in the air but the vehicle kept moving at 41mph. We were so shocked and I had to use both feet to step on the brake to stop the vehicle. Tesla eventually replaced the steering column control in the beginning of July. Then, on July 29, the sudden acceleration happened again to my husband. This safety issue needs to be addressed by Tesla more seriously. I should at least get a written explanation of what happened and not just a phone call telling me the vehicle was not at fault. I shut the vehicle off to stop the engine from shaking and misfiring and let it sit about two minutes. I restarted the vehicle, the illuminated wrench went away and the truck idled as normal allowing me to drive another 25 highway miles to my home without incident. Had a mechanic put a diagnostic tool on my truck to see if any error codes were thrown from it which no codes were present. Have taken it to Ford dealership near my home, they have been trying replicate the condition for three days and have been unsuccessful. Their hunch is throttle body assembly needs to be replaced ($675 fix). Quick query of NHTSB reported incidents shows a growing quantifiable history for the Ford F150 3.5L Ecoboost experiencing the exact encounter I had on this day. My family and I along with others on the highway were fortunate the event didn't end up tragically that day. Ford - time to step up and rectify via recall.Read more

Case number 240821-000271 was opened on 8/21/24 with Volvo Car USA Support. I have three main concerns: 1) The infotainment system losing the favorites that I have saved in the Sirius application. This had been an intermittent problem that I had been having since I purchased the car. I finally took it into the service department at Volvo Cars of Gilbert on 1/7/23 for this problem (Invoice Numb
... er VOCS110975). The service department was unable to recreate the problem so they did nothing. 2)A complete car system reboot while I was driving on 6/10/24. As I was driving down the road the HVAC system shut off and the dash and infotainment system screens went blank. All car systems completely shut down except the engine. This was an extremely frightening experience as all of this happened with no warning whatsoever WHILE I WAS DRIVING. This is a huge safety issue! Within about a minute of driving like this the systems started to come back up. I proceeded home. The next morning I took the car to Volvo Cars of Gilbert again. They had the car for 5 days and performed a software update on the IHU (Infotainment Head Unit) (Invoice Number VOCS120164). 3)The failure of the infotainment system to update after starting the car and driving. This happened on 8/7/24 and I took the car directly to Volvo Cars of Gilbert again. The infotainment system was stuck on “Infotainment system starting…” for the entire 12-minute drive to Volvo. Volvo Cars of Gilbert had my car for 8 days this time and this time they did a reload to the existing IHU (Invoice Number VOCS121204). I asked that they replace the IHU. Volvo refused to replace the IHU because it was too expensive at $3200. Also, the problem of the infotainment system losing its radio favorites has become much worse. It happens daily now. I believe there is an opportunity for a catastrophic event to happen while I am driving if this IHU problem is not corrected immediately.Read more

... is an option to disable traffic/speed sign detection, but that must be manually disabled in software every time the vehicle is re-started. Adjustment of the speed during adaptive cruise control based on traffic/speed signs should be disabled for safety. It's fine to have the speed limit displayed on the dash, but dangerous to have the vehicle adjust speed on its own without sufficient warning, or at all. I would like to request that RAM be directed to disable the software connection between traffic/speed sign detection and the adaptive cruise control so that, just like regular cruise control, the operator chooses the vehicle's speed. Note that this issue has happened many times since I've owned the vehicle, which was purchased as new, but I am now complaining to NHTSA because I experienced multiple incidents on my most recent trip that might have risked a rear-end collision from a vehicle following me when deceleration occurred.Read more

Vehicle had all electrical systems in warning, and vehicle automatically set the parking break before I put it in park. I attempted to restart the vehicle several times with no success. The vehicle entered a battery mode which did not allow use of the accelerator pedal, and automatically drove the care at 30-35 mph with only breaking control to control speed. I was able to limp the vehicle off the freeway in the breakdown lane, and move it to a safe location. This event was an extreme hazard to myself and all around me, and I compliment the semi driver behind me on his quick response to the sudden deceleration of my vehicle. Upon calling the dealership that did the repair in Memphis TN they stated it had nothing to do with the recall (not sure how they can determine that without looking at it) and it sounded like I was having transmission problems. They are 4 months out for transmission repairs, so even if I wanted to pay for the repair and not try to go through the recall or extended warranty I cant for MONTHS! My engine light is on but have not had the codes ran. The Ford forum... [XXX] all states the same issues I am having. This seems to be a common occurrence and if your vehicle is out of the warranty or had already been done then you are on your own. The forum is stating it is the lead frame or output speed sensor on the transmission that is the issue. I have had so many issues with this FORD its ridiculous. My timing chain exploded as well and I had to purchase a complete new motor. This is a common failure with this model /motor Ford trucks. It also shows a wrench on the dash and the speedometer quits working and mileage, MPG and others just show dashes. Upon bringing it to ford while the warranty was still in place, they claim they could not replicate the problem. On the way back home from the dealer, it happened again. We made ANOTHER appointment for service, they reflashed the transmission strategy and said it's fixed. It was ok for maybe a few weeks, but the problem continues. Now the warranty is up, and we are still stuck with the same issue which is becoming more and more frequent. Ford will not repair it without charging, yet this issue existed while the warranty was still in place. It's a known defect that presented itself while the warranty was still in place. It was never repaired, Ford only applied a band-aid to get past the powertrain warranty.Read more

THe front pump seal was not replaced as recommended by the service repair manual at the time of the torque converter seal replacement. The faulty component is available for inspection upon request. The safety of myself and others was put at risk due to the vehicle's hesitation to accelerate after stopping, a direct consequence of the low transmission fluid. This hesitation causes a sudden loss of power while driving, increasing the likelihood of an accident. THere is a delay and then a hard shift when off , a significant bump when shifting from first to second gear and when I stop it feels like I've been rear ended by another car. The issue has been confirmed by multiple service centers, including Parker Cadillac, ORR Cadillac, and Christian Brothers Automotive, all of which identified the transmission pump seal as the source of the leak and the resulting damage to the transmission. Additionally, Christian Brothers Automotive found that the torque converter seal was also leaking, further contributing to the vehicle's transmission problems. Despite efforts to have GM engineers inspect the vehicle at ORR Cadillac, they declined. However, Christian Brothers Automotive has provided a thorough inspection and diagnostic of the .There were no warning lamps or error codes indicating the issue, as it was a mechanical failure rather than an electronic one. All 4 of my tires were checked out and 3 out of 4 of them were in good condition. This has also been an ongoing issue. My first time experiencing this was less than a month after getting my vehicle but the tires was still covered under warranty at that time. By these lights coming on during non-emergencies, the consumer can not identify when the vehicle actually needed to be serviced.
