I have experienced a dangerous bug where cruise control shoots immediately to 110mph. I have experienced three incidents in the last 15 months. At 40,000 miles Transmission skips gears going from 3-4 4-5 and 7-8. Transmission jolts hard when put into reverse. Valve body was replaced which fixed the issue for a couple of months and now the same issues are occurring.

I have been notified that I am in need of a new engine due to possible complete engine failure which is on the near horizon. I have the Lambda II V6 3.3L engine. It is knocking, making noises, hesitates to go, feels like it will stall out at all speeds, and is scaring me terribly. ... light came back on. They stated I must go to Hyundai because they did not believe they could fix the car as it required a new engine. I took it to my Hyundai dealer, where my contact stated yes it should be covered as it was having the issues as have been identified with this engine. He later came back and stated his managers would not let him put through the claim, and said my estimate was now a whole new timing system at a cost of $4600. My car has less than 83,000 miles on it. My previous Hyundai is still running at 200,000 miles, so yes, I take good care of my vehicles. This is an early equipment failure on the part of Hyundai and Kia that they are now owning up to. I drive on busy 4 lane local roads, and I am afraid of this engine failure. Also, when I did take my Hyundai into the dealership, they did not have the ABS part needed for the recall. I was told it would be in within a couple of days. I have not been contacted back by them if it is in and to schedule me an appt. This is a huge failure in itself! I did make a claim to Hyundai Customer Care, that stated it was out of warranty. Today, I have my car at a 3rd automotive mechanic in the area to get a 3rd opinion. He has a minor timing issue code P0018 that emissions still kicked out once I finally got it passed. I am waiting to hear what he has to say regarding my engine with no beforehand knowledge of what I know so far. If my car catches fire or breaks down or seizes up on a busy road, I don't think that will go safely at all. I am very concerned for my safety and that of others.Read more

It is far too easy to accidentally hit and activate cruise control button on the steering wheel when turning. If your thumb brushes up against the button the car can continue moving when you expect it to be slowing down either coasting or staying at the same speed when using 1-pedal driving. Driving with adaptive cruise control engaged in 45mph zone. Without intervention the cruise setting jumped to 90mph. I was able to press the pause bar to cancel it. Next I was able to re engage cruise normally without a repeat issue. There's been no outside inspection, or assessment. So far it's happened only once. The runaway speed was controllable. We're driving with extra care.

During any precipitation, primarily rain, the adaptive cruise control fails to sense vehicles in front of it. This became alarming as the vehicle began to speed up and get alarmingly close to the other vehicle, causing driver to slam brakes. Hello, so far 4 to 5 times my MDX automatically shifted to Neutral gear at traffic signals. THen vehicle stops and not moves, i wouldn't be able to change the gear, the vehicle just seems stuck. COuple of times the cars behind almost crashed with my family in the car. ONly options is to power off the car and restart. I took to the dealer, they ran all the tests and nothing found in the debugging.

Full Self Driving prominently suggests the user enable “automatic set speed offset”. When enabled it tries to guess the speed it should be going, and goes that speed. On city streets and rural highways the driver is unable to lower the speed with the normal cruise control speed dial. it is disabled. It recognizes when the speed limit lowers on the road, but does not adjust to that new limit.

I contacted Ford customer service and I do not think they will fix this unless I cover the tab. I feel that this is unfair. I have taken it in and left it all day but they did not get to it, my local Ford dealer is out until mid November for service. My truck now gets stuck in first gear or downshifts into first gear and the instrument display goes wacky, no speedometer, etc. I noticed a green wrench icon light up yesterday when this happened. Over 1.2 million F-150's had this problem. Over 100,000 trucks did not receive the proper PCU reprogram and need new reprogramming. I believe my truck is one of these as I am now having the exact issues that the recall was supposed to solve. Fortunately, I have not been travelling at high speeds when this happens but this problem can cause the transmission to shift from any gear at any speed into first gear, which could be life threatening. According to Ford, it is the powertrain control module software that causes this problem. Trucks built at Dearborn Assembly Plant, 4/28, 2010 to 10/28, 2013 and Kansas City Assembly Plant, 5/18, 2010 to 11/18, 2013 have this problem. My truck's manufacture date is March 2013 so it falls into both of these timeframes. I feel that this is a severe safety issue and could result in serious injury or even death. So, a few days had gone by & in the middle of driving on the highway while going 60 mph, all of the same sensors came back on & the car would not go over 40 mph due to one of the main sensors stating "Emission System Problem. Avoid Heavy Acceleration & High Speed. See Your Dealer." Along with my 21MONTH old baby in the car! DANGEROUS! My job (travel CNA) requires me to travel from facility to facility & I need my car to be reliable. The rep said it really sounds like the recall part that is going bad in my car needs to be replaced & until it stays on sticks; there is nothing that can be done. I beg to defer! Is it going to take for me to get into a car accident & jeopardize my daughter & I safety in order for the part to be replaced, after what the recall notification states that can be done while operating the vehicle. Along with the recall stating that they are only willing to replace the part for free if the car is potentially life threating or inoperable. The fact that they are taking their time replacing these parts is dangerous or mindful at all. I love my car, but I am not willing to put my daughter's life, or mine nor anyone else's life in danger by continuing driving this car and still having to pay for it. I was on a slight decline and noticed the car moving forward pulled by gravity, so I steered the car to the farthest right of the offramp/parallel street, where I put my hazard signals on and requested the car be towed to a mechanic. I was endangered because the car lost entire propulsion while in the middle of fast-moving freeway traffic, and fellow motorists were endangered as well. I have learned that this same behavior occurs routinely with 2nd generation Volts; that there is a special bulletin related to the car's BCEM *and* a related class-action lawsuit posed against GM/Chevrolet. I requested Chevrolet take preemptive action to repair the BCEM, as I am fearful the issue will repeat and cause additional danger to myself and fellow motorists, but Chevrolet says they cannot repair the part until it is diagnosed as defective... which will occur when/if the part fails again, and I'm already in danger.Read more

Loss of Acceleration in 2022 Ford F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid I am writing to report a safety issue with my 2022 Ford F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid, which has been experiencing acceleration lag and loss of power during regular driving conditions. ... ctioning. This issue primarily affects the vehicle's ability to accelerate after a stop or during turns. Safety Risk: The loss of acceleration poses a significant safety risk to both myself and others on the road. The delay in throttle response has caused the truck to remain in a low gear for several seconds, even with the accelerator fully pressed. This issue has occurred while merging onto highways, when moving through intersections, where quick acceleration is necessary to avoid collisions and a simply stop signs taking a turn where I'm not able to accelerate after. The delay increases the likelihood of rear-end collisions and creates dangerous situations, especially in heavy traffic. The problem has been reproduced by a dealer and many other owners have reported the same issue. I'm hoping that Ford has releases Powertrain Control Module (PCM) update aimed at addressing this, but the issue persists for many, including myself after recent PCM updates. The vehicle has been formally inspected by my local Ford dealership. They will be applying a PCM update on 10/10/2024. There were no warning lamps or error messages that appeared before or during the incidents. The problem occurs unexpectedly, usually when I press the accelerator, particularly in Eco or Normal driving modes. The issue has been less frequent in Sport and Tow/Haul modes, but this results in increased fuel consumption, which negates the advantages of the hybrid system.Read more

While driving the car will not accelerate past 49mph in turbo mode and 61mph in regular mode and rpm will not go above 1800. And it jerks and studders. Blinking check engine light and consumes a ridiculous amount of oil even though regular maintenance performed. I have read several engine issues with this model and cannot find recall info
