I reached home at 5:29 pm, opened the garage and started parking the vehicle inside the car. All of a sudden, the car just took off and randomly accelerated and the next thing I found was that the vehicle landed and stopped right inside the house on the small island by the garage entranc

On my left, I saw my wife in (by kitchen stove) in total panic and my [XXX] mother- in- law shouting to my wife. “What happened?!”, and my [XXX] grandson crying and closing his ears from the loud sound! Instinctively, as I realized I would not be able to exit the vehicle from where it was lodged, I reversed the vehicle back into garage where I could come out. As I switched into reverse gear (which this vehicle requires you to press the brake to be able to switch from drive to reverse), the vehicle again just accelerated with force. This time, damaging the garbage can in the garage, left garage door vertical track, drywall and outside brick wall, as the brakes were not engaging. If I had not steered my car right or left, I would have landed in the living room of the house across the street. Therefore, I steered to the right to remain on the street (in hindsight, this may not have been the best choice – in case there was another vehicle or resident walking on the street). As my vehicle was in reverse, going towards the street perpendicular to mine, it knocked down the street sign pole onto my property, ran over the curb, grass, and landscaping stones on my lawn. Finally, the vehicle stopped two feet away from my living room window and 3-4 feet above street level, under a tree on my front lawn, crashing against a big landscaping rock. I had previously activated ACC to use on the highway with the speed set at 65mph. After getting off and driving into a parking lot I accidentally bumped the resume toggle on the steering wheel and the car started to accelerate requiring me to intervene. Luckily there were no vehicles or pedestrians in front of me at the time so I was able to regain control. The owners manual has this information.

I have been in telephone and e-mail contact with the Chevrolet, EV Concierge to seek help. They suggested that I do not use the "One Peddle" feature and when it happens take a picture of the screen at the steering wheel. One time I mentioned the problem to the car salesman with the most EV experience and showed him the photos. He immediately noted that the on the screen that the cruse control was set at 15 MPH. I brought this to the attention of the dealer and the EV Concierge. So I am supposing that the issue may be related to a computer issue and the cruse control. I have had the care for about 2.5 years. I know how to handle the situation. The care is leased. The next person who has the car will be surprised and may not know how to handle the situation. On October 27, coming back from a family trip at 10 PM at night on a major highway, the suburban all of a sudden quit. Traveling at 70 miles per hour, all of a sudden, when pressing the gas pedal, the car would not accelerate and the RPM gauge was erratically moving. The following day, the dealership informed us that the transmission was not repairable and that they had found metal pieces in the transmission. They informed us that the only way to repair was to replace with a new transmission. They informed us that these transmissions are faulty and that it’s common for them to replace transmissions in suburbans about twice a month. We were not happy to find this out because this is the second transmission in a second Suburban that we have owned that we have had to spend $12,000 on between both vehicles. The car was out of warranty, Therefore, the expense was totally on us. I need help trying to see if I can get reimbursed for these expensive faulty transmissions that are not our fault! It was the only way for us to come back home. The car was out of warranty therefore, the manufacturer did not offer any help! This was a very expensive, frustrating, and dangerous fall break in 2018. I’ve had intermittent issues where the one pedal driving feature would disable itself. Last night I narrowly avoided a T-bone collision as the OPD deactivated and as I approached a junction it took me a second to realize the car was not stopping and it was only by sheer luck that the other vehicle stopped abruptly so we didn’t collide.

This particular vehicle exhibits a very strong, almost dash rattling judder when moving from the 1st to 2nd gearing ratio. This is especially dangerous in traffic and intersections where the vehicle is known to be in 1st or 2nd gear ratio, as Nissan likes to ratio out their CVT in software through the TCM to produce what feels like shifting from gear-to-gear as in a normal automatic transaxle. ... t makes this situation extremely bad is that when entering an on-ramp to the interstate (I-20 for example) it will intermittently judder from 1st to 2nd and then no power. After the judder it takes another few seconds for the TCM to figure out what happened and engage maybe more valve body pressure? I'm not sure completely, but it's extremely unsafe to drive. The Altima/Rogue with the same transaxle and model year run was issued a TSB and subsequently a TCM update was issued to rectify the early shudder, but the Sentra did not receive that update. The TCM output data shows that when this shudder is happening that there is a loss in hydraulic pressure somewhere in the unit. As Nissan says you never are supposed to change the fluid, this creates a very serious issue not only with the transmission, but warranty as well. The safety risk to others is high on this one because this could cause major rear-end conditions and city driving collisions as the car is supposed to be accelerating but can't because the transaxle was slipping and not gaining speed with the rest of the vehicles as expected.Read more

On these occasions I have had to pull over to the breakdown lane, nothing in the car responds, changing the gear does nothing, I have to shut the car off to kind of reset it. After a few minutes you can turn the car back on and it runs fine. 2. The display screen for controls, radio, etc... is black. The dealership tells me this is a widespread issue and the replacement radio units are not available. This has been going on for 3 months. No back up camera, no phone connection, no control over the display, nothing. I can't see the temperature or the mode beyond the actual buttons on the dash. At one point the dealership advised that they had received a radio and after waiting all day to get it back they told me it was dead in the box and they have no ETA on another one. During the first troubleshoot for the radio, the car was returned to me stuck in Spanish or Portuguese and they have not been able to get it out of that mode. So I currently get a warning numerous times per day but I have no idea what it's warnign me about, and the odometer is stuck in kilometers. (I truly believe they were BS'ing me about even having it in the first place after all the stringing along and lying they've done.) The handle bar riser failed and snaped causing a loose handle bar which can cause serious injury. My bike is kept indoors, never left alone and never dropped. It is available for inspection. I believe that the new high-tech system known as BRAKE HOLD malfunctioned and caused "unintended acceleration". I believe that it certainly is extremely dangerous. Stellantis/Ram for over 10 months now have claim that the ABS Module is under engineering review to me. The ABS Module controls the brake anti skid, sway control, cruise control and other systems. Since 3/2024 I've tried to replace this module but it's not in stock because of not being produced. It's a manufactured control item only. Tried to exchange it for a new truck but the dealer does not want it on it"s lot because of no anti skid and other functions this module controls. If it's not safe enough for Ram to sale how can it be a safe vehicle on public road ways? To answer any questions, yes the truck has been inspect by Gator Ram and a certified independent mechanic. We purchased our '24 Santa Fe hybrid on 9/18/24 new with no problems. On 10/8/24, about three weeks later, I was stopped at a stoplight after exiting the freeway. When the light turned green, I accelerated and felt a clunk, then the car would not accelerate past about 30 mph. Several warning lights came up on the dash. I could hear the engine revving, but it felt like it wouldn't go into the next
... gear. I thought I could make it to the dealership, which was only a few miles away. But at the next stoplight, I was stopped in a turn lane, and when I pushed on the gas nothing happened. I tried shifting back and forth from park and restarting the car, but nothing helped. The car would not accelerate at all. CHP shut down the intersection and helped me push the car to the side of the road, where I waited for a tow truck. The car was towed to Folsom Lake Hyundai, where it was purchased. Warning lights said "Check hybrid system," "Transmission control system" and "Driver assistance system." The app listed these codes under POWERTRAIN issues: DTC P198500, DTC P178400. We picked up the car from the service center on 10/11/24. They said a wire came loose from the oil pump, so they reattached it according to factory direction and it's fixed. 5 days later, on 10/16/24, the car stalled again. This time on the freeway. I entered the freeway and accelerated, then felt a similar clunk and got the same warning lights. This time, the car would not accelerate at all. I stopped on the side of the freeway and was towed to Folsom Lake Hyundai again. It took almost 2 weeks to repair, but they said the same thing happened again. The same wire came loose, causing the car to stall. Their solution was to reattach it again and wish me luck. They said maybe I drove on a bumpy road, but there's nothing else they can do but reattach it and get it out the door. I do not feel like this is an adequate repair and we are now worried that the car will stall again in the coming days.Read more

Cruising at 75 and speed dropped to 55. There are at least 3 FSD/beta features in the driver set cruise control, did Tesla get approval to add those features to the cruise control?

Driving on the highway for an hour the speed control kept switching from the speed limit to 20 mph and rapidly decelerating my vehicle. I would reset the speed then everything would repeat, it started 2 weeks ago with one instance. It happened 8ish times between Idaho falls Idaho and Pocatello Idaho

Cruising at 75 the speed suddenly drops to 55, the worst I had was changed from 75 to 40. This is Dangerous and needs to be changed. It drops speeds every day and before I can correct it the car usually drops a minimum of 5mph. If allowed I will start to report this every day until it is corrected as it is a huge safety issue for other drivers and potentially a deadly crash or road rage incident.

Driving on the highway and suddenly lost total power. RPMs dropped to zero, speedometer dropped to zero. Truck attempted to downshift immediately and caused the truck to jerk aggressively. All dashboard readings disappeared, mileage, etc. Wrench displayed on screen and airbag sensor lit up. Sudden downshifting of the vehicle and jerking could have caused a wreck or loss of control of the vehicle.

I have been online reading about the stories of these same complaints from many RAM & JEEP owners. How this company is getting away with safety issue is beyond me as this is going back to 2023, how are there no safety recalls on this not issued yet and customers not being reimbursed for the repairs. My emails are ignored and my phone calls are put in endless loops before being hung up on. I have been trying for 6 months to get them to make my truck safe. I’m scared me and my family or possibly other motorist are going to be hurt if this situation is not fixed. I know I shouldn’t keep driving it but I have to get to work. Purchased an extended warranty for thousands of dollars but after taking to 3 dealerships multiple times a piece no repairs to the computer have been made and they literally have documented they are trying a temporary method for “testing” out unproven “wire overlayment” to bypass an issue with a harness bc they dont want to “condemn” an expensive module on the truck. The computers that control this electric vehicle are failing and I’m scared what is going to happen when if completely goes out while I’m driving at 70 on the interstate.
