Late November 2024, we were getting off the freeway and the check engine light came on but there were no service codes. Everything was running normally except for the engine was making a loud noise. We parked at a shopping center and approximately 30 minutes later, restarted the car and all these messages and icons appeared for: Vehicle stability assistant system problem, Hill start assistant problem, ACC, Collision Mitigation breaking system problem, Road departure mitigation system problem, Emissions system problem, TPMS, Brake system problem, Electric power steering system problem. Towed it dealership and after an hour of diagnostics testing, they said it’s the spark plugs again! Just a little over a year and 2 out of 4 spark plugs are bad again. This is not right. We hardly drive this car and it’s only a little over a year since the spark plugs were replaced and a little over 5 years since we got the car brand new. I drove down the street approx 1 mile to the gas station, as I was filling up the tank. Gas starting going on the grown. The gas gauge did not work properly, it went from a full tank to a quarter of a tank immediately. I went to leave the gas station and the bike accelerated into traffic without me pressing it and then stalled again. I started and immediately returned it to the dealership. Wayne the owner got into the bike with me and drove it around the block. The bike accelerated on him as well and then stalled as well. We returned the dealership. The dealership provided a loner for the weekend. When I returned the loaner and inquired about my bike. I recorded the conversation as he stated he stated he had no idea what was wrong with the bike and he has never seen it do that before. On May 23, I sent mulitple leaders to the HOK and also Vanderhall certified inquiry on a resolution. I spoke with someone from the corporate office in July and she said she would contact the dealership. I had an attorney reach out to them for a resolution and then he was not able to handle the case. August I was told my bike was ready for pick up and it was fixed. I've looked online to find out that other Honda CR-V Hybrid owners have had this issue with no fix provided from Honda at all. Their advice is to leave the car running and get it towed to a Honda dealership immediately, which can be extremely expensive depending on your distance to a dealership and sometimes not feasible if I'm on my way to my job and cannot call out "sick". I feel as though this is irresponsible of the dealership to put the onus on consumers, and is clearly a recall waiting to happen that they just haven't admitted to yet.Read more

The 2025 Hyundai Tucson's Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system does not operate properly due to either a design flaw or a flawed implementation of the design. Hyundai's integration of Forward Attention Warning (FAW) with the ACC prohibits the driver from using ACC while wearing sunglasses. If one is driving the vehicle with ACC engaged and puts on sunglasses, the FAW flashes a warning on the dashb
... oard and disengages the ACC. In order to engage cruise control the driver must interact with the onboard video display system to switch from ACC to "dumb cruise". Obviously the driver's attention is distracted while manipulating the selection of cruise control. The driver is also forced to compromise driving safety because they are forced to choose between wearing sunglasses and being able to use ACC. Use of ACC enhances safety especially when driving into the sun or in low visibility situations. The incompatibility of ACC with sunglasses wear then compromises safety. To make matters worse the FAW options screen provides erroneous information. It indicates that the driver can turn off FAW, but turning it off does not in fact turn it off. Turning it off stops the FAW warnings only until the driver turns on and engages ACC at which time ACC apparently forces FAW back on and active. I took the problem to my local Hyundai dealer who confirmed the problem and indicated they could not repair the problem. Since I am considering a Georgia Lemon Law claim, I asked whether I needed to bring the car back since the lemon law gives the dealer/manufacturer 3 tries to fix the problem. The dealer indicated that would be a waste of time because Hyundai will not support/allow the issue to be corrected. The dealer indicated this is a known issue. An Internet search also confirms that Hyundai's FAW + ACC integration is flawed. Additionally it is not clear whether other enhanced vehicle safety systems such as automatic emergency braking are compromised by the wearing of sunglasses?Read more

The main infotainment screen does not function. The car reboots itself every 5-6 minutes while driving. This temporarily disables all the seat sensors, signals or anything that requires electrical. The truck has an issue with 3rd gear. It wants to jolt forward and if it doesn’t catch speed it goes into “limp” mode. It’s a safety feature where it goes as fast as 2nd gear needing service to Electronic throttle body, stop/start system, and electronic stability control.

The radio works when it wants to. The headlights keep filling with moisture no matter how many times I get it fixed. The windshield wiper will no longer spray the fluid to clear the windshield (after about owning it for a year)

In NORMAL driving mode, when I fully depressed the acceleration and quickly release, the vehicle continues accelerating . I almost crashed into the car in front of me in stop and go traffic.

Reproduction or Confirmation of the Problem: The issue has been confirmed by an independent automotive technician, who diagnosed the problem as a blown engine caused by a lack of oil. The vehicle is now with Hyundai for further inspection. Inspection by Others: The vehicle has been inspected by an independent service center and is currently being inspected by Hyundai. No other parties, such as the police or insurance representatives, have been involved. Warning Lamps or Messages Prior to Failure: The only warning sign prior to the incident was the check engine light blinking at the time of the failure. There were no other warning lamps, messages, or symptoms before the engine seized. The vehicle was within the oil range limit of 7,500 miles at the time of the incident. Additional Notes: The incident occurred suddenly, without prior warning or indication of an issue. [XXX] my car failed to let me use the brake, i was going about 45mph and when i went to apply brake pressure the pedal was so stiff i couldnt use the brake.
