Driving 75mph. Cruise set to 75mph. Vehicle randomly reset cruising speed to 85 and 105mph or two separate occasions over 4 days. I went through the settings and disabled intelligent cruise control and switched it to adaptive cruise control, which doesn't use radar and navigation data. Only tell will tell if that fixed it. I already had speed sign recognition disabled.

Happened around 46000 miles after receiving a recall notice in the mail about the pedal positioning sensor causing a reduced engine power signal, and immediately reducing speeds on the interstate. Local Chevy dealership replaced. Fast-forward 80K miles and the same incident is happening, however likely not going to be covered by GM. Same message, same code being detected.

I leased a new 2019 Ford f150 xlt sport package in the fall of 2019. During the first year, I experienced some "choking" of the engine when I would accelerate. Nothing big, but noticeable. ... m. I bought the truck after a 36 month lease. The choking continued to be a regular occurance, especially for the first few miles of a new drive. Around 30k miles, I noticed the issue getting more pronounced. I again asked the dealer about it and they provided me the same answer as before and didn't offer to explore the issue. Between 30K and 50K miles, the issue became more frequent and would impact the truck whether it was warm or cold. But now I experienced a hard shift between 1-3 gears and sometime 3-5-- jerking and slowing and struggling to move to the next gear. It will also bog down at times when changing into the higher gears with no telling when this would occur. Again, I asked the dealer about it, and becuase there was no safety light, they wouldn't do a thing. Over the past month or two, at over 50K miles, the frequency was several times on every drive. It started to jump from 8-1 and back up to 8. It would jerk and slow in high traffic situations, and finally it just would not move into gear at a stop sign at rush hour. I had to drop it into low gears and move to the side of the road after 10 minutes of stoppage; then the check engine indicator finally flashed, after an incident that could have caused harm to me or others. I decided to stop at the "new" Tesla dealer in Bernalillo (I got my car in Santa Fe) and ask about the automatic breaking and whether they'd fixed it. The 2 service employees looked at each other and one said "No". I then asked about whether I needed to re-boot my key card since my screen went blank while I was in CO, during a snow storm, parked. I luckily had my phone and on the Tesla App, under Roadside Service, it gave me the option to re-boot the screen! I did so. The serviceman said he didn't think the blank screen had anything to do with my key card, but I could re-boot it if I want to. (A prior complaint also reported the failed key card in less than a year and Tesla's unwillingness to replace it). ... for about 15 seconds, near end of driveway, removed foot from accelerator to slow to see if there was traffic. I saw that there was none and tried to accelerate. No throttle response; the vehicle came to a stop in the snow. Note: when I state “no throttle response”, I mean no engine revving; it was not simply that the drivetrain wasn’t sending engine power to the wheels, the engine wasn’t increasing throttle as I commanded. Momentarily surprised, I pressed harder to about 30% throttle, still no response. I removed my foot from the accelerator and applied the brake. As I did so, looked at the center console display. It was showing that it had lost connection with my phone (I had left it in the house) and it was trying to reconnect. At that moment I felt a slight “bump” of acceleration. The time between first noticing no throttle response and feeling the “bump” was about 3 seconds. I decided to go back for my phone (and I also didn’t want to get on the road with a wonky throttle) so I backed up to the house; normal throttle response. Replacement of forward distance warning sensors 4. Front bumper bracket replacement due to bend 5. Mitsubishi has been involved on 4 occasions 6. I have called and put in a complete with Mitsubishi three times and they always say they will contact me with a resolution within a few days and I have never heard back with any resolution. 7. We have also been made aware that this does not follow the owners manual and has also caused air bags to go off in other situations which has injured customers. Despite these repairs, the issues persist. On January 24, 2025, Valley Imports left a voicemail stating that Mitsubishi acknowledged it's a known issue with some Outlanders, but they don't have a reliable fix.I do have this voicemail but it is to large for me to upload.Read more

The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could only diagnose the vehicle after it had been repaired by an auto body repair shop. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that she would be contacted later and would be informed of the location she would need to take the vehicle for diagnostic testing. I Noted the Same Scenario on a NHTSA Complaint #11527971 dated 6/20/23. 2nd Complaint is for the Electrical System and a Complete Lockout on [XXX]. Went to Unlock my car and it wouldn't Unlock. Tried Multiple times, then popped off Key Cover on Handle and used the Valet key to unlock the Door. Following an attempted OTA software update for the safety recall, I have noticed that the pedestrian alert noises are missing, which poses a significant safety risk not only for those around the car but also for the

Moreover, it has come to my attention that a concerning number of owners have reported their vehicles as undrivable following OTA updates, with 2%-5% of vehicles experiencing such issues weekly. The current 48-hour update window renders my car unusable, and now I require another session, an additional 48 hours to complete the update only adds to my frustration. Based on owner surveys, it appears that complete updates, including the correct sounds, have been successfully implemented in less than 30% of vehicles attempted. Given these concerns, I urge you to look into the situation with my vehicle and the entire process. I should not have to pay out of pocket for the safety recall and restored function of pedestrian alert noises, nor the cost of a rental car. Truck will have a very bad hesitation when coming to a stop and trying to accelerate again before a complete stop. Many times this has almost got me into an accident when trying to pull out into traffic. You will push the gas and there in a 2-3 second delay before the truck will even move. Dear NTSB Team, I am writing to formally report a serious safety incident involving my 2019 BMW 530E, which occurred last night on [XXX] in Danville, CA. My vehicle was parked in my friend’s private driveway, with the parking brake engaged and the gear selector set to Park. I was chatting with my friend who was in the passenger seat . My feet were on the floorboard, my seat belt was on and the
... engine was idling to provide heat as it was a cold night. Suddenly, about 10 minutes into our conversation, my car accelerated forward with speed, hit my friend’s garage door and then reversed with the same speed and stopped in the middle of the street. This happened within the span of a few seconds at most. I think that I applied the brakes while the car was reversing with speed and I remember the car not slowing down but then it coming to an abrupt stop in the middle of the street. There were deep skid marks on the driveway, my friend’s garage door was damaged, my friend’s Tesla X was damaged with impact to the rear bumper, this parked Tesla had moved forward and crashed in the wall of the garage and a garage cabinet door dislodged and fell on the hood of this Tesla. My friends parked Toyota Prius also had bumper damage. The garage drywall sustained cracks as well. The force from these unexpected accelerations and impact has left me and my friend with aches and pains in the back, shoulder, knees, hands, head and neck; thankfully, we did not suffer more severe injuries. I am gravely concerned about the potential for this defect to cause a catastrophic accident. Had there been pedestrians, pets or another vehicle in the path of my rapidly reversing vehicle, it could have led to serious injuries or even fatalities. I called my car insurance company, local police and I will notify the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and BMW of North America. The EGR valve failed. This caused the vehicle to have insufficient propulsion while driving. The dealer has confirmed the EGR valve is the problem. The vehicle is at the dealership. The check engine light came on. The dealer is now stating the replacement EGR valve is a $4000 part because GM stopped making the part when they discontinued the Volt. The dash cluster screen goes in and out. Randomly began and got more frequent as time went on. This screen shows ones speed, gas, cruise control, lane assist, mileage and which vehicle mode it is in. Once the blacked out screen appears driver has no indication of these features. Evaluated by dealership and had to replace and reprogram the entire dash cluster at an out of pocket cost of $1846.
