I took my 2019 Ram 1500 to a Ram dealer on 10/21/2024 for the Anti-lock Breaking System Module Configuration Mismatch safety recall 75B/NHTSA 24V-653. There were no warning lights on in my vehicle when it was dropped off. ... eplace. This failure has disabled traction control, antilock braking, and auto start/stop. The dealer said they did not have the ABS module and had no ETA as to when it would be in stock. The ABS module has been out of stock nationally for months with no estimated time of availability. Now, there are warning lamps and messages for the ABS and Traction Control. Now, I am unsure if the vehicle is safe to drive in adverse conditions where ABS and traction control would likely be needed. At the very least, a major part like an ABS Module should be available for a fairly late model vehicle. This defect "repair" has obviously caused the ABS Module failure. The dealer tried to say there was already something wrong with the ABS Module before the repairs were attempted, but neither I nor they noted any warning lamps or messages before the repairs were attempted. I was turning into a parking spot in front of the entry doors to a Sheetz convenience store. I was slowing down, and had gotten halfway into the space. All of a sudden, the car surged forward, went over the curb and hit the bollard in front of the parking space. It was hit with such force that the bollard bent and went under our car. If that bollard had not been there, and stopped my car, I feel certain that my car would have crashed into the store, seriously injuring (or killing) us and those inside the store. We are planning to report the accident to Volkswagen, and to request that they test the "black box" inside the car, to see if they can find out what went wrong. I have spoken to someone in the Sheetz corporate office , and she told me that they have a video recording of the event. She said she observed my car entering the parking space very slowly, and that the car suddenly accelerated. She is planning to provide that video to State Farm Insurance, our insurance company. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures, myself, of the damage to the front of the car. But we will be requesting that the collision repair shop take pictures before the car gets dismantled for repair. I purchased this vehicle brand new off of the lot February 2024. Since then, I have had two incidents where in the middle of driving my vehicle has completely shut off. The first experience, I was driving 50+ mph. First my headlights went out, my engine shut off, my dashboard shut off, and I was cruising without power or control over my vehicle for about 5 seconds before everything turned back on.

They stated no codes or issues were shown on their end and returned the car to me. 6 months later during late October, my car did the same thing. I was driving 40+ mph and my car shut off in the middle of me driving. I contacted my dealership to inform them it happened again. They told me they did not have any available appointments to bring my car in. Out of frustration I did not bring it in until a few weeks ago for a regular check up. I gave them the exact date and time that my vehicle shut off and they again could not find the issue that caused the car to turn off. I was informed by a Hyundai representative that he anticipates this issue getting worse as it happened twice in the first year of owning it. Shortly after, another message appeared: 'Service Vehicle Soon,' followed by 'Reduced Acceleration - Drive with Care.' The car isn't charging and lacks the speed needed to drive on the highway.

As we returned, and had the issue with the wrench symbol, salesman advised me “ well when you came and interrupted as they were just getting this thing checked out and tested.” 2/19/19 When I returned following days to purchase, the vehicle was not ready. It turned out the battery had died and they had some other issue with a “computer code”. They put in another battery on hand, and told me I should now be “good to go”, knowing that I was in desperate need of a vehicle, and would likely be trusting if they told me it was now repaired. At this point we were within manufacturer’s warranty, and under 60k miles. -was never informed that there was a recall issued by Ford that EXACTLY applied to our vehicle, and to the issue I Reported during my test drive, under warranty, and Preston Ford Mazda never correctly repaired the issue as they stated, which was reported within all Ford and recall time and mileage requirements. [XXX]-while driving suddenly speedometer went out, the gas gauge stopped working, and then, a moment later while trying to figure that out, the vehicle jumped and shuddered/stopped and the RPMS went wild, revving. Almost hit cars, but was able to pull to the side of highway. Upon turning the vehicle off and restarting, normal operation resumed, but issue with the wrench symbol, gauges, RPMs revving and vehicle jump/stop has now happened repeatedly, leaving me with no safe transportation for my large family. I was driving normally at speed. The truck suddenly lost power. The gas pedal was unresponsive. It took a moment to realize what had happened since the truck showed no indication of an issue. No warnings showed on the dash, the radio was playing as normal. Pressing the gas pedal did nothing. Brakes worked. I was on a road where was I luckily was able to coast into a parking lot and stop safely.
