The ABS control module has malfunctioned which lead to the ABS, traction control, and parking brake light coming on while driving. This is a safety concern due to a malfunction with these systems. These systems are meant to help control the vehicle when either sliding or braking quickly. An OBD scan tool was used, which read the code C2200 to confirm the malfunction.

I also contacted the manufacturer and they advised me the same as dealership, maybe during the first quarter of 2025 there could be a remedy. The manufacturer stated they would prioritize my case but no specific date could be given. I was given an option for a rental and due to my circumstances I would not be able to afford a rental. (I have to continue payments on my loan & vehicle insurance.) I purchased the vehicle from Dyer Chevrolet Vero Beach, I did reach out (on 3/31/2025) and asked them why was vehicle sold if there was a stop sale. We were advised that our vehicle had almost exploded and that we were lucky to have brought the vehicle in. We were told that our vehicle should have never left the lot the day we purchased it brand new. We were told that our vehicle's backseats had detached and separated away from the frame of the vehicle. I am submitting this complaint regarding a catastrophic engine failure in my 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe while driving at 70 mph on the highway. Without any prior warning, the engine suddenly started making a loud knocking noise from under the hood, and shortly after, the car lost power. The vehicle has since been inspected by a certified mechanic, who confirmed that the engine failure was due to a mechanical defect, likely tied to the known issues with Hyundai’s 2.0T engines. These engines have been reported to suffer from bearing failures and lubrication problems that can lead to catastrophic engine failure, which is consistent with my experience. Despite being aware of this widespread issue, Hyundai has yet to issue a recall for the affected vehicles, which is a serious safety concern. Drivers are at risk of unexpected engine failure with no prior warning, especially at high speeds, as was the case in my incident. I believe Hyundai’s failure to act and address this issue puts the safety of drivers in jeopardy. I am requesting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) investigate this matter and encourage Hyundai to issue a recall for these vehicles. My 2024 Nissan Versa S goes into a "limp mode" almost any time I stall and then turn the engine back on. In this limp mode, acceleration is dangerously slow. Often acceleration is so weak that if I drive up a hill in this limp mode, the car will lose speed even while I'm pressing the gas pedal all the way to the floor. ... quiet parking lot and then trying to accelerate out onto a road. In this mode I cannot reach safe speeds on major roads in a timely manner. I have to turn my hazards on and let people go around me as I accelerate for a full minute. On highways and major roads with higher speed limits this is quite dangerous. When stuck in this mode I do not have the ability to accelerate fast enough to get out of the way of any oncoming danger. If this mode turns on in a safe quiet area, I may be able to turn the car off and on until the issue goes away, but if I stall at a busy traffic light, I'm now in a dangerous situation until I can get off the road and to a safe spot to turn off the car and test that the limp mode has gone away. Also, turning the car off and on doesn't always work. I have on two separate occasions been stuck in limp mode for multiple drives. The Nissan dealership in Wake Forest, NC confirmed that they know about this issue and said they don't currently have a fix for it. A check engine light has turned on two times after entering limp mode, they erased the code and it has never come back since despite still going into limp mode.Read more

I received a Safety Recall notice on this known issue about a week after the first incident in 2024. I took my vehicle into the AutoNation Ford Dealer in Littleton, Colorado immediately after I received that notice and they supposedly 'fixed' the issue under the recall 24S37. Obviously, the issue has not been resolved. I am asking for a deeper look into the safety issue as I am sure I am not the only one this is happening to. I am also concerned that there were no warning lamps or messages that would indicate a problem that needed to be addressed! The truck is currently back at the AutoNation Ford Dealer in Littleton and is available for inspection. They are telling me there is no current recall for this issue. How can that be true if it’s the exact same problem and their Safety Recall ‘repair’ didn’t work? I believe the repair was just a software patch, but I can’t be sure. Can you please help me find out what the recall (24S37) was supposed to fix and why it didn’t fix the problem? Their suggestion now is to replace the Valve Body with a cost of $2,554.63 (in addition to a $219.95 diagnostic fee). My concern is that even this expensive repair might not actually solve the problem, and I am truly afraid to drive this vehicle. In December 2023, I took the vehicle to a Honda Dealership, where they recommended replacing the front camera/sensor (behind the rear mirror) at a cost of over $1,500.00. I proceeded with the repair in December 2023. However, the same issues returned in January 2025. This defect poses a severe safety risk, especially when driving at higher speeds or in traffic. Attempted to connect the starlink on multiple occasions as well to no success and just a bunch of wasted time trying. In addition to all the alarming safety concerns, this car would not heat up well- 40 minutes into my ride I'd start to feel some warmth. I would love to have this case investigated further and sue honda for allowing such a dangerous vehicle on the roads. I was traveling [XXX] near Liverpool, PA at 60mph, the truck flashed a quick code on the dash and then suddenly downshifted from 6th gear to 1st almost spinning the truck as the rear wheels locked up momentarily. It would not upshift past 3rd gear and had to travel 35 miles home like that. I called my local Ford dealer (Parsons) and they said bring the truck in for diagnostic testing, so I did. Me
... anwhile I searched the internet to see if others had the issue. Turns out they did, BUT my 2015 with the 6R80 was NOT in the recall notice. Ford said it was the lead frame and needed to be replaced. IF it was a known problem, why not inform owners of these trucks. That said, Ford wanted $1500 to fix it, BUT they did not have the part. So I drove the truck (never with my family in it ever again) after I cleared the code with my reader...again traveling [XXX] @ 75mph it downshifted IN TRAFFIC. Luckily I was in the right lane and made a quick move to the shoulder to avoid being run over. In Carlisle, PA there are hundreds of trucking companies and warehouses, so the truck traffic is very heavy. That was it. I searched out the part, paid for it myself and had a Ford mechanic that does work on the side fix the truck. I have been a loyal Ford guy for over 30 years...I reached out to Ford via telephone, chat and even Facebook. All they say is it is NOT under any recall. Hard to swallow that when I am driving a $75K truck THEY built and they will NOT stand behind a $2K fix. Well goodbye Ford, as a business owner for over 25 years. If I make an error I fix it NO MATTER what. I gave Ford the opportunity to stand behind truck and they did...JUST FAR behind it and passed me as I sit on the shoulder of the road. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case, and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. Over the last several years, I have experienced a minimum of four, possibly one or two more, incidents of this vehicle accelerating at a high rate while I have had my foot on the brake. In all of these cases, I was braking to come to a stop - braking quickly and hard in a couple cases. While braking and slowing, my engine revved/accelerated at a very high rate. ... d gears to neutral, and the acceleration stopped. These incidents were random and very far apart from one another in terms of time. In all cases, my foot was firmly (and only) on the brake pedal, and my floor mat was in the proper position and secure. There was nothing in contact with the acceleration pedal. On Monday, March 10, 2025, I got into my car in our garage to go to work. The car started normally. When I put my car into reverse, the engine started revving/accelerating at a very high rate and it was lurching, like it was trying to move. Luckily, my foot was firmly on the brake, and the brake held. I quickly put the car back into park, and the engine began revving/accelerating at an even higher rate. I then turned the car off. Again, I checked my floor mat, and it was in place and secured, my foot was only on the brake pedal, and there was nothing touching the acceleration pedal. This was a frightening experience, and at that point I decided that I would never drive this car again. If I did not have my brake firmly engaged, my car would have shot out of my garage when I put it in reverse. Upon researching the problem, my husband and I read about the unintended acceleration that many people have experienced with Toyotas, causing numerous deaths and injuries, and about the class action law suit with Toyota. Although the investigation seemed to chalk the incidents up to "user error" - foot being on the wrong pedal, floor mats affecting the acceleration pedal, etc. - I know with 100% confidence that none of these were the case. Vehicle unexpectedly downshifted and service now light came on. Speed was difficult to control as the vehicle would either rapidly decelerate or accelerate. Cruise control was unable to be used. I received a speeding ticket because I was unable to consistently maintain speed. Problem returns intermittently and is usually resolved by pulling over, turning off the vehicle and turning back on.
