At the time of the impact, all of the vehicle's airbags deployed and the driver's seatbelt locked in place. There were no personal injuries - only property damage to the outside of the vehicle, the airbags and seatbelt. Thus far, Ford has refused to replace the airbags, seatbelt/repair the vehicle's property damage despite repeated requests. Ford only fixed the software problem associate with the recall and has taken the position that is the only remedy they are required to do. ... n I initially took the vehicle in was for a "shake" or "wobble" when accelerating up a hill (semi steep incline) or at freeway speeds (55-70MPH). In these instances, the vehicle will have a hard time shifting and temporarily lose momentum causing concerns for me and other drivers on the road. The transmission light will go on and I call KIA to be told to tighten the gas cap. I recently brought it in for the third time and they diagnosed something different. I have mentioned the transmission each time, but they have focused on other items and not the transmission. I have had the shocks replaced, the tires replaced, alignment performed, and the problem still persist. However, the dealership will not look at the transmission and says that it is the other items, but the issue still remains after fixing the other items. The shock failure caused other items to wear out and the dealer should be on the hook for those items. I have brought the vehicle in dating to last year for the transmission issue with no help from the dealership. When I finally had enough money to even get the car diagnosed (roughly $187), the Corwin Toyota dealership asked me for the mileage, and I had to tell them to tell me. They did confirm the instrument panel/cluster to be defective, however, I and my extended warranty company had to pay the bill. 53,252 miles when they serviced it. When I paid my portion, I asked Lori how long will this one last and she told me, "They are suppose to last the duration of the car's life." I replied, "Um, but...". On April 17th I called Toyota's Customer Engagement line and spoke with them about the defective part and repair. Dorian told me that with the part replaced carries a 1 year warranty. If Toyota designed essentially all the safety features, eco features, cruise control, gears to only be seen or controlled on that multi-informational display within the instrument panel/cluster, they should be required to fix it at no cost to customers for the lifetime of the car. Honda dealerships just guess what the problem is because there are no definitive error codes. They randomly want to change parts like fuel injectors, onboard computer, brakes, battery, and others, and charge thousands of dollars and will not refund the money when the problem reappears. This problem is putting drivers at serious risk and Honda has done absolutely nothing to find and repair the problem. There are hundreds of reports of this problem online and Honda has not responded. After researching the issue, I found that many other Infiniti JX35 owners have reported similar failures involving the CVT transmission. ... y with a 25 MPH speed limit. The vehicle immediately adjusted to what it thought was the posted speed. To be more specific, the vehicle slammed on the brakes and went from 70 MPH to 25 MPH quite aggressively. Luckily, no one slammed into me as I regained control of the vehicle. This has happened multiple times on different roads, different speeds, with or without using the NAV system for guidance. I have found that turning off all of the drivers assist functions stops the vehicle from slamming on the brakes but the NAV system still occasionally goes nuts. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership 3 separate times with no joy. The dealership has been unable to duplicate the defect to date however the last time in I was able to provide video evidence of the issue. The dealership did provide me (on 14 April this year) a copy of an older memo from Volkswagen identifying a potential NAV issue. According to the memo the issue should have been taken care of by Aug 2024. My issue extends well beyond that date. Of concern to me is the fact VW knew there was an issue but failed to tell the consumer to turn off the Adaptive Cruise Controls functions until this issue was fixed. As my vehicle still has the issue, I don't know if it's related to the memo or something different. I've attached the last 2 workorders, vehicle is still at dealership for 3rd time. Audi Naples was able to detect fault, replicate problem and replaced the assembly on 4/10/2025 for $3,391.96. The dealer kept the part and told me to keep my receipt in case there is a recall. My car currently has 31,489 miles and had a total inspection and was last serviced on 1/22/2025 with 31,487 miles. I’ve taken the truck to the dealership and multiple independent mechanics, but no one can diagnose the issue because no error codes appear related to the transmission or shifting. The only code that comes up is for a faulty catalytic converter, but both catalytic converters have already been replaced. The dealership confirmed that the check engine light keeps coming on anyway, even though there’s no actual issue with the new parts. They said it’s as if the system is being triggered by something else, but they don’t know what. I was relieved to learn that NHTSA is investigating this exact issue in 2015–2017 F-150 models, because what I’m experiencing matches it exactly. I depend on this truck for everything, school drop-offs, groceries, and survival, and I have no backup vehicle. I am asking NHTSA to prioritize this investigation and take action. My brand new truck with 3500 miles when the cruise control is set to a speed the truck will randomly accelerate un commanded. This occurs when for no reason the cruise control will select 95 MPH if you at 75 MPH. It will do this at any speed selected. Gas Pedal broke completely off while accelerating to merge. Took it to the dealership and they ordered a new gas pedal and made the repair. There was no prior warning of anything wrong. This could have caused us to have a wreck when we were accelerating to merge and all of the sudden the gas pedal just busted off and the car dramatically slows down. Definitely a safety issue.

I also made Honda Corporate aware and was given a case number a year ago and have contacted them SEVERAL times and they continue to say they are reviewing it, but no action has been taken. It's terrifying. I have so much anxiety driving my car and can't believe I haven't been hit or killed at this point. I also found several other people with the exact same make, model and year doing the exact same thing and Honda has done nothing. No recalls, nothing. They have been aware of this for over a year and are not reacting. I'm at a loss what to do. The dealership admitted this is a serious safety issue, but said they can't fix something they can't figure out. Unbelievable! The car has made a high pitched metallic rattle on cold start ever since I received it. I have taken it into the dealership multiple times for this and have had the lifters in the engine replaced but they never addressed the other noise, which I have video evidence of. ... it was braking on acceleration, there were no warning lights. The vehicle just lost acceleration power and I had to coast to the shoulder. Luckily I had time to pull over without interference from other traffic. Once on the side of the road I tried to crank the car again and a very loud metallic sound happened that sounded like I threw a wrench in a fan. The car lost electrical power very shortly after. I called onstar for help and she asked if I could shift the car into neutral which I could not. They had problems finding anyone that wasn’t hours out that could come tow my car and suggested that I try to find an alternate method of transportation since a wrecker service probably wouldn’t transport my entire family. Uber was not around to get me, Lyft was not around to get me and there was no taxi service. I had to rely on the local fire department to rescue us as it was hours with myself, my two children and my dog on the side of the road in 90F heat. Once at the dealership they confirmed it was indeed a catastrophic engine failure and I am currently waiting months for a back ordered engine with a rental I’m paying partially out of pocket for, in a car that’s entirely way too small for my family with no ETA on the engine in sight. I know multiple people personally who this has also happened to, same exact scenario and same exact engine just different model years.Read more
