I purchased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee on [XXX] unaware that the vehicle was subject to a federal safety recall and stop-sale order. The recall (NHTSA 24V-838 / Manufacturer 94B) was issued on November 7, 2024, for a defect in the ABS control module that may disable the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and cause unintended vehicle movement even while stationary.
... A stop-sale order (VIR 2024-11-14) was issued by Stellantis on November 14, 2024, prohibiting the sale or delivery of affected vehicles until repaired. Despite this, the dealership sold me the vehicle while the recall was still open and unrepaired. In the months following my purchase, I began experiencing issues with the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC). On June 15, 2025, I paid $770 out-of-pocket for ETC sensor repairs after a loss of throttle response. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, but this defect may be linked to the broader electronic issues cited in the recall. No warning lights appeared in advance. I have been driving this vehicle daily without knowing it could malfunction in a way that puts myself and others at risk. I only learned of the recall on June 22, 2025, when I searched the VIN through NHTSA’s database. This has caused emotional distress, financial harm, and a complete loss of trust in the vehicle’s safety. I am seeking appropriate accountability for the illegal sale of this recalled vehicle and want to ensure others are not put in similar danger. I took it to a repair shop and they were getting CVT codes for the transmission. I looked online a found that many other people had these same issues as well as a Class Action Lawsuit that was settled a few years ago for 278 million for these problems

On 7 or 8 occasions while navigating parking lots/driveway turnaround, i bumped the resume switch on the steering wheel and the truck took off accelerating rapidly from 2-4 mph speed until I disengaged with the brake. Someone with slower reactions or unaware of what is going on is going to get hurt by this. I believe it's tied to collision avoidance system and the adaptive cruise control mode. T
... his system will allow cruise to stay engaged even as it slows you to a halt in, e.g. a rush hour slowdown, but if it slows you to some speed just greater than zero, and the traffic ahead speeds up, it will speed back up to the cruise setting. Similarly, when cruise is disengaged by brake action, but there is still a stored value in cruise control, if you accidentally hit resume at slow speeds the logic is treating it like a traffic situation. So the old 20 or 25mph minimum engagement speed no longer applies. As for why I inadvertently hit resume, it has to do with the raised momentary rocker switch at the 9 oclock position on the steering wheel. If you make a turn with your palm against steering wheel. For example, on a left turn, if the wheel is turning counterclockwise and your left palm is in the 9 o'clock position, it can rub against the raised cruise control rocker triggering the resume function, and off she will go! A flush or recessed button/switch would have been a better choice here. At this point, a software change would be the best solution to ignore the resume function below a certain speed.Read more

Driving 3 miles home I almost got rear ended two times due to loss of power between first & second gear. Driving 6 miles to the Ford dealership I almost got rear ended 1 time & 1 time I could not completely stop until I was halfway into a busy intersection. I had no ability to backup and traffic was completely blocked in one direction until I was able to safely cross the other 3 lanes of the intersection on a red light!! Prior to this incident & since I bought the car with 12,000 miles in 2020, it ALWAYS had rough transitions between gears & sputtering/brief loss of power when accelerating from stopped. I formerly had a 2013 Ford Focus which had these same issues so I figured that’s just how these cars drive with the Powershift dual clutch transmission. I had no idea that I should have been extremely concerned about the hard shifts & sputtering. I never received a single Customer Satisfaction Program letter from Ford about the clutch, leaking seals, or TCM warranty extensions and issues. If I had I would have brought my car in for service a long time ago. I am disappointed & dismayed that a recall has not been forced by the NHTSA. Ford has gotten away with putting unsafe vehicles on the road with little to no accountability. I got off the highway and limped the vehicle closer to my home, stopped for a brief time, and proceeded the three miles to the dealership. I’m reporting a high-pitched noise issue with my 2025 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid. At highway speeds (approximately 68–74 mph), a persistent, high-frequency tone becomes audible from the front driver’s side of the vehicle. It is sharp, constant, and noticeably affected by the vehicle’s battery charge and speed. There are no warning lights, messages, or error indicators. However, the sound is

My wife has a preexisting auditory condition (tinnitus), and this sound makes it extremely difficult to drive or ride in the vehicle without pain or aggravation. It has made the vehicle nearly unusable for her on highways. I’ve brought this to a dealership, where multiple technicians and even a factory engineer inspected the vehicle. They confirmed the presence of the sound using audio measurement tools, and noted that similar sounds are present in other CR-V Hybrids. Despite this, I was told by the manufacturer that the sound is “normal” and that no fix is currently available. This issue has been present since I first took possession of the vehicle. The dealership and manufacturer have confirmed that it exists, but no resolution has been provided. While I may be one of the first people to raise the issue, I believe this may become a much broader concern. A continuous, high-pitched noise at highway speeds could be dangerous—it might distract drivers, cause fatigue, or even lead to long-term hearing discomfort or damage. I am hoping that NHTSA will investigate this issue or track whether other drivers begin reporting similar experiences. We purchased a brand-new 2021 Kia Sedona in 2021. Since January, we’ve been experiencing an intermittent but serious issue where the vehicle refuses to accelerate or shift beyond a certain point. ... us at serious risk. On another occasion, while merging onto a highway, the car failed to accelerate, and we feared being rear-ended due to our inability to keep up with traffic. There are no warning lights or error messages to indicate a problem when this occurs. The only temporary solution has been to pull over, turn the car off, and restart it. After doing this, the vehicle functions normally for a few days, weeks, or even months before the issue reoccurs. We have taken the vehicle to our local Kia dealership, but they were unable to replicate the problem or identify any issues. We also brought it to a second Kia dealership with the same result—no diagnosis and no resolution. Started engine drove slowly to the Autozone store to have the diagnostic test done and it showed P2101 power train system throttle actuator A control motor circuit range /performance detected unexpected voltage on the throttle actuator control motor circuit also C121C-00 ABS torque request signal denied Anti-lock Brake System U0401-00 implausible data received from ECM/PCM “A”. System was reset to be able to drive home. 6/16/25 went to start jeep to go to work made a clicking noise check engine light on and the voltage warning sensor flashing and showed Service Electronic Stability Control error would not stay running checked battery cables fuses and restarted engine tried to back out of driveway engine would not go. Had jeep towed to Moore CDJR dealership where it was purchased from 9/2023 to have serviced found throttle body needs replaced dealership contacted several parts dealers, Mopar, and other dealerships etc. to locate the part needed was advised couldn’t find the parts needed for the repair. Contacted service department and they advised they were calling National Auto Care my extended warranty for approval for repair. My concern is if I had been driving 65 mph and it went out I would have been in a accident when the vehicle stopped functioning. Safety of myself and other drivers would have been compromised. This is the 2.0L Turbo motor and have been advised that there are several issues with this motor and should trade in vehicle. I don’t have that option and this is the only vehicle I have.Read more

As a result, I have been driving without these essential instruments for over 8 months, with no timeline provided and no workaround. In addition to the loss of fuel and mileage visibility (and potentially odometer functionality), I also cannot confirm whether the cruise control is active. This could cause potential safety risks during highway travel. There were no warning lights or error messages prior to the failure. The cluster simply went dark. The faulty component is still in the vehicle and available for inspection. Jeep is aware of the issue, and a case is currently open.Read more
