I called hyundai tech support they where of no help. I asked for a manager - who called back and I was told it is because I used my sun glasses! I was told it would always happen if sunglasses where used and I could not cancel this feature without disabiling the "safety" features that i considered when purchasing the vehicle on 24th [XXX]. I was told I should not use polarized glasses which my pair Is Not in any event. I requested to speak to a more senior rep and the next day received call from a hyundai rep who stated there was nothing I could to over come this nuisance feature and if I didnt like it I should not have bought the car. I stated I did not know this could or would happen ! In addition every 5 to 10 minutes a warning gong,light and speech notice keeps on popping up and states "I need a rest". In my opinion too, It is also a safety issue as it is a nuisance and consistant and at inopportune times blocking gps commands some times etc. These features, in my opnion, are too frequent too persistant and not helpful. There should be a way for the owner-drver too disable the announcements but have the benefit of the features ie Adaptive Cruise Lane and Steering etc without the car deciding not to allow because sunglasses are needed. It also will not start randomly, you will go out get in and for no reason it won’t turn over, yet the electrical systems will turn in fine, it’s getting power. In order for this to stop, you have to keep turning it on and off and apply the parking brake and the brake and than release them…. Over and over with intermittent breaks in between until it finally turns over. If you manage to get it started than it won’t shift properly. It stays in an extremely low gear unless you accelerate rapidly. And it won’t accelerate rapidly, your foot can be to the floor and it’s barely going until it gets into third and than just keeps rising never down shifting again until you coast to a stop and have to turn it off again and start the process over. On hills when this happens you will get hit and killed bc it won’t go in time for you to get out of oncoming traffic’s way. It has shut off while driving on the highway. Left me stranded blocking people in in parking lots. And almost gotten me and my family killed in several occasions. There are no similar circumstances in which it does this. It is comletely random and that makes it terrifying. I have 2 children that I am afraid to take anywhere now, and the jeep was bought to keep them safe and able to get anywhere in case of inclement weather etc. as if that’s not enough, the passenger seat floor is always wet. The internal short is causing excessive current draw, resulting in loss of driver assistance features. The latest software has revealed the underlying root issue within the car computer.” This indicates that the vehicle was operating with a latent defect that Tesla’s diagnostic update exposed. The update did not cause wear-and-tear failure; it surfaced a hidden safety defect inside Tesla’s own hardware. Why This Is a Safety Concern Loss of traction control, stability control, and steering assist creates a significant risk of loss of vehicle control. If this had occurred while driving at speed, the sudden loss of these systems could have led to an accident. We had to start it a couple of times to make sure it was ok to turn around and drive home. It was then towed to the dealership. They told us they could see the issue logged in the system but they could not replicate the same issue after driving it. They told us that we had to come and pick up the Jeep and I told them how unsafe that made me feel for us and everyone on the road. They told us there’s nothing they could do for us. We got the car back and another issue arose where are Passive Entry Switch became corroded and our car kept unlocking itself throughout the night. The day we got it back from them we were driving it and we got the same “Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System” again. So I brought our Jeep back again and they told me in the service department they’ve been working with the engineers at Jeep and they are waiting for an update to fix it and it’s one of four in the area with this issue and Jeep is fully aware of the severity of the issue. They also told me they would be holding on to our car until it’s fixed. I was called by the head of the service department at that dealership and was told they need their loaner car back and they got word they’ll maybe have a fix for our car in November. They knowingly gave us our completely unsafe Jeep back and told us to try for Lemon Law - with all parties knowing the severity of the security and lives put at risk on the road. When connected to a scanner, no error codes were detected. Repairs took nearly five weeks. Although the front sensors were replaced, they still did not function properly. The shop consulted a technician who remoted in and advised them to replace all the sensors again and inspect the wiring. Although the vehicle has been repaired, I remain fearful of driving it. I’ve read similar reports on this board suggesting these issues may be related to the electrical system. A few years ago, the truck experienced the same warning, but the problem cleared on its own. Now it has returned and is documented with codes in the dealer system. The dealership acknowledged other recalls were already completed on my VIN, but refuses to perform this safety recall since my VIN is not listed. ABS and ESC failures are not the result of consumer behavior. This is a faulty system created at the time of vehicle manufacturing. There has been no accident or outside damage, and nothing the owner could have done to avoid this issue. The defect lies with the vehicle’s design and creates a serious safety risk for the driver and others on the road. Took car to dealership at appointed time and they kept it for a week and only did test drives to try and recreate problem. When they couldn’t they returned the vehicle to me with nothing done but clearing codes and checking for updates. This is unacceptable. I am hauling my precious grandchildren in a brand new vehicle that could have a braking failure at any time. Obviously braking failures can cost lives. There is a GM service bulletin for this exact problem in December 2024 (N242482170) requesting the master cylinder should be replaced. This service bulletin doesn’t extend to the 2025 Traverse model and it should as the problems are exactly the same. I hope this can be resolved. Have felt an issue with the transmission under 40k miles. Around 50-55k miles I got the transmission checked. Ford dealership/garage said it was the PCM that needed updating. After that, just under 60k miles I took it back for same issue and they ended up rebuilding the transmission. It has been driving fine but after another 20k miles (currently at 80k miles) it is starting to have the same issue
... . This is a problem because when trying to start to move forward, it will almost "stall" or "stutter" and has almost left me stuck in oncoming traffic while trying to turn. It has also caused issues while trying to accelerate on the highway too that have almost caused rear-end collisions. Looking through forms, it seems that most 2019+ Ford Edges have a problem with their transmissions and it's a common part that needs to be replaced.Read more

As I was driving in a parking lot, the service hybrid error popped up and then suddenly the vehicle was showing to press brake & hit start button. The vehicle began slowing down and even while pressing the gas the vehicle wouldn’t do anything. I was able to coast into an empty part of the parking lot. The vehicle then wouldn’t go into park. The emergency brake engaged without me doing anything

This vehicle has a faulty ABS module that Ram doesn't make the part for. The part 68292756AA been shown on backorder for over 1yr. After chatting with a Ram customer service agent I found out this part has been discontinued and was advised that I try an aftermarket part. Guess what ? Recently hyundai engineers said its because you may be wearing sunglasses. What? Wearing sunglasses will disable AEB and cruise control !!!OMG. I removed sunglasses and tried still wont work. Hyundai sent me list of things not to do, including not to laugh, not to shorten your eyes and not to wink. this is a major safety concern, not allowing drivers to wear sunglass which will disable safety critical systems.Read more
