I was driving the vehicle on high mountain pass roads in Colorado. Anytime I would approach approximately 11,400 feet of elevation. The vehicle would instantly lose all power with no warning lights of any kind. All gauges were in the normal operating range. Vehicle would barely move 2 mph. The roads we were on were narrow, off-road vehicle mountain roads, and it created an extremely dangerous situation. I contacted Ford and they have not heard of this issue and there are no recalls associated with it. I spoke to a Ford bronco ambassador, who was also on the trail system with a lot of other off-road vehicles, including Broncos and they had never heard of this happening . On June 20, warning messages appeared regarding the charging system malfunction, high-voltage electrical system, and battery at 0 miles despite showing 30% charge. On July 19, additional warnings appeared regarding brake malfunction, a loose tire, and again the high-voltage system error. My pamphlet "Getting to know your 2025 Colorado explains how to use ACC with no mention it is an option only available on higher end vehicles. I consider it a safety hazard that Cruise Control in its normal setting does not use the Gap setting as most modern vehicles do making it a safety issue, especially when you have a 2nd vehicle that works this way automatically. It was only after 2 service visits that I was told that how it works and that even though it is an option, it is not something that Chevrolet can install in my vehicle. Making it even more confusing the 'GAP' setting is available on my steering wheel controls making the user think this option is actually available when, in fact it is not. I feel Chevrolet needs to fix this potential safety issue by making the Cruise control work in the same manner other manufactures have done for several years.Read more

... ly have. It is currently at the dealer for the fourth time about the issue. Currently claiming engine issues but the engine isnt even on when it experiences the problem. (PHEV) Has been occurring since purchase but very intermittent. Could not reproduce until enough trial and error when it did occur that I could reliably reproduce it. During my own testing and diagnostic is how I found it can roll freely in the wrong directions and is much more dangerous than just shaking was. Description: Within the first few minutes of the vehicle being turned on it can shudder against the brakes when stopped. It can stop responding to throttle inputs and roll freely in directions other than the selected gear while throttle input is ignored. It will start responding again after some time, I dont know what makes it start responding again. Does not show errors or messages. Reproduce: Plug in car, let it charge all the way to 100%. Unplug and immediately start car, move forward or backward a few feet at a time. Shaking against brakes will start, and at that time if you let off brakes and attempt to move car it can shake loose of clutch and roll freely. I was parking, lifted my foot off the accelerator to slow my car down, and instead my car unexpectedly went into high acceleration (note: not user error, I took my foot OFF the pedal). After some research i found that the dealership has acknowledged the issue by replacing the TCM and uploading new software to put the transmission into a fail safe instead of putting in a new transmission. The issues that the failure causes has made thousands of people have to get new transmissions before the service is even due. A quick search on Google states that 461,000 vehicles were effected and that a recall has been issued, but it has not been officially issued. We need a new transmission and should not have to pay for it on a truck that is so new and serviced timely.Read more

This failure posed an immediate safety hazard. The vehicle was disabled in a dark and high-speed traffic environment, significantly increasing the likelihood of being struck by other vehicles. During the incident, I encountered difficulty releasing my seatbelt, briefly confining myself inside. The sudden breakdown caused me severe distress, leading to a panic and an asthma attack. Although I did not seek medical attention, the physical and emotional consequences were substantial. Since the breakdown, the vehicle has remained completely undrivable and incapable of restarting. The issue has not been replicated due to the vehicle’s inoperability. Prior to this occurrence, I had maintained regular oil changes and performed necessary maintenance, and no warning lamps, error messages, or symptoms manifested before the failure occurred. However, this delay and lack of proactive support is causing significant inconvenience and eroding that trust. The dealer says when the "Wheel Speed Sensor" failed the truck is programed to be immobilized. I have recently returned from a trip to the Rockies pulling a 35 foot 5th wheel RV. I have traveled several mountain roads. One 12 mile stretch with a 8% grade. Had the wheel sensors failed on any of these roads the chance of and accident were great. Potentially deadly. I mean the vehicle just keeps failing to perform as it should as well on the way back. It had the same issues but as severe going to Colorado.Vehicle does not change gears going uphill. When we stopped in Vegas for fuel, fuel door did not open it & malfunctioned. So vehicle does not perform well in cold and hot weather AWD system does not work at all. The issue has not been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center, nor has it been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. I drive a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. This occurrence has happened on three separate occasions and each time it was raining outside. I then turned out of a parking lot and began to accelerate to speed up and the check engine light came on along with all the same messages, this time my vehicle acceleration had seized and wouldn’t go faster than 30 MPH. I slowly drove back to the parking lot and turned the vehicle off to let it sit, disconnected the battery and reconnected, and the issues went away. The third occurrence, I was driving on the highway in the rain for approximately 10 miles, I went to merge into a right hand lane, I took my foot off the acceleration peddle to slow down for the merge and as I slightly turned the wheel to the right, my vehicle spun out three times, throwing the back end of the Tahoe into the inner highway wall, which spun me again to face the right direction, next to a highway exit. I then went to accelerate to exit the highway but noticed my vehicle would only coast and realized my engine had cut out at some point. I started the vehicle and exited the highway and parked in a parking lot only feet away from the exit. After I parked I noticed all the same warning lights came back on. Also the check engine light came on. I am not sure what all but it lit up the dash. I thought something terrible was happening and pulled over. Everything started working again after about a minute. None of these warnings were real. I checked somewhere, don't recall, and found it was at the same time an update occurred. There are false warnings and issues nearly every time an update happens while I'm driving. I only drive my vehicle about once a week, so something happens nearly every time I drive. This seems to me to be a serious safety issue. Were my anti-lock brakes really unavailable? People might panic or might just start ignoring real warnings. August 3–4, 2025 – Dropped off again; dealership instructed that the fuel level must remain between 50–70%. August 11, 2025 – Dropped off again; a loaner vehicle provided was unsafe — gear shift failure, body control system errors, infotainment failure, and inability to lock the vehicle. This put my baby’s safety at direct risk as the loaner could not be secured or reliably driven. August 19, 2025 – Vehicle returned with new scratches and multiple issues still unresolved. Late August 2025–Present – Vehicle was relocated to San Jose without my consent. I only know its location from the Hyundai app, which frequently alerts: “Battery level is below normal. Please check that vehicle lights and accessories are switched off to avoid battery drain.” I have not been provided proper updates from Hyundai or the dealership. Safety Risk: Repeated mechanical and electronic failures in both the new vehicle and the loaner. Vehicle is unreliable, unpredictable, and unsafe for transporting a young child. Manufacturer and dealer have failed to provide a safe, operable vehicle despite multiple repair attempts. When accelerating, no speed is displayed. During driving there is no speedometer, no operating turn signal and the odometer does not record driving miles.

The only thing they did was run a diagnostic test (nothing showed up) and said they had 2 people test drive it ( but my mileage was the same going in and going out) They told me it would cost 7500 before taxes for the transmission. They could not give me a clear answer when I asked what exactly is wrong with the transmission. I was told that its something internal but they couldn't tell me exactly the problem because that would require them to take it apart. I asked if I should get a transmission flush to make sure it wasn't that since I just learned that cvt should be flushed earlier than usual and he told me probably not. I decide to take my car home and will never use them again. I went two months without a car and was unable to work because they did not offer me any time of vehicle while I had to wait. Im concerned because Mopar discontinued the transaxle package with torque converter, part number 68000676AH that is for my vehicle because it is known to be defective. I bought this car brand new and thought it was clear of any defects or safety issues. A new transmission for a car that is less than 10 years old is ridiculous and seems like a lemon. Since Jeep knows this Jatco transmission is defective and also discontinued it with a different part then why arent they offering a goodwill repair or at least a warranty adjustment.
