High-Pitch Electrical Hum and Continuous Cooling Fans While Parked/Off When the vehicle is turned off and not plugged in, it continues to emit a high-pitch electrical hum and the cooling fans run almost constantly. This behavior only occurs during charging or thermal management cycles, yet it happens while the vehicle is off, producing an abnormal load and possible electrical malfunction. Dealership confirms the issue but states there is no fix. 2. Instrument Cluster and Infotainment Screens Blacking Out While Driving Both digital displays shut off repeatedly while I am driving — up to 20 times per day. This removes access to critical information such as speed, warning indicators, and hybrid system status. The dealership again states they have no repair guidance from Stellantis and cannot resolve the issue. 3. Air Suspension Malfunctioning Hazardously The air suspension system releases and refills abruptly and uncontrollably. When I start the vehicle, the system rapidly raises and lowers regardless of mode or setting. It cycles continuously even when parked. The dealer acknowledges the behavior but reports no available service procedure or repair bulletin. 4. The dealer stated they duplicated the issue and reported that it was repaired, but the same display failure occurred again afterward while I was driving. The vehicle is currently with the dealer and is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others is put at risk because when the screen shuts off, I lose access to critical vehicle information. This has happened at highway speeds, including one instance where the display shut off approximately eight times within 20 minutes. In addition, the radar warning system has activated when no nearby vehicles were present, creating distraction and uncertainty. The problem has been reproduced by the dealership, documented by me on video, and reported to the manufacturer. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by an authorized Hyundai service center and reviewed by the manufacturer’s customer service department. There have been no police or insurance inspections because the defect has not resulted in a crash, though the safety risk is significant. Warning symptoms include intermittent radar system alerts appearing without surrounding traffic. These symptoms began in October 2025 and have continued even after dealer repairs. These sudden, un-commanded braking events were severe enough to cause significant deceleration, requiring me to immediately intervene by pressing the accelerator pedal to override the system. The vehicle appeared to be operating correctly so I drove it to a local dealer. they said there was a code for low voltage in the brake control module but couldn't get me an appointment for over two weeks. I took the vehicle to a regular mechanic who said what I described was impossible. That mechanic kept my truck for the balance of the day but could find nothing wrong. I was advised to return if the issue reoccurred. Despite the reset, the problem persisted, and on February 9th, 2024, I scheduled another appointment due to my Chevy Volt's High Voltage battery charging only to 65% capacity despite indicating a full charge. Subsequently, on February 11th, 2024, the check engine light illuminated again, and on February 12th, 2024 and again on November 25th, 2025, while driving to work, both times I experienced a loss of propulsion power on the highway, placing my safety at risk and lost all power in a traveling lane of traffic. These ongoing issues with propulsion power and the high-voltage battery charging system are not only inconvenient but also potentially dangerous. Despite multiple visits to the dealership and attempts to diagnose and resolve the problem, it persists, indicating a systemic issue that requires immediate attention. The contact owned a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE350. The contact stated that while slowing at approximately 10 MPH and making a right turn to pull into a driveway, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated and crashed into a fence and came to a stop. The contact had not sustained any injuries, and medical attention was not needed. A Police report was not filed. The contact stated that the fence was damaged.

The contact then stated that approximately a year later while driving approximately 20-30 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle unintendedly accelerated, into ongoing traffic at a cross street. The contact pumped the brake pedal several times to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to slow down as intended. The contact also attempted to turn off the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to turn off. The contact swerved right, and side swiped a fence, and the vehicle went through a front lawn of a house, striking some plants, and then struck a light post. The contact stated that the air bags did not deploy. The contact had not sustained any injuries, but the passenger of the vehicle sustained injuries to the back, knees, legs, arms, scrapes on the head, and general aches all over the body. The passenger was taken to the Emergency Room and medical attention was provided. The contact stated that a Police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot where the vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance provider. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. Brake Vacuum pump that was removed from vehicle to inspect and diagnose is still available for inspection. Recent findings show that Chevrolet/GM is aware of the issue in their vehicles but refuses to address or replace faulty brake vacuum pumps. It is a common problem amongst 2013-2022 Chevrolet Malibus. Vehicle that is in question was inspected by a certified mechanic shop with failed emissions test. Solid check engine light appeared once the brake had become harder to push and stop the car. OBD scans show DTC codes that were pertaining to MAF and MAP malfunctions in readouts and communications to the ECM. After further inspection, the ABS module had been acting as "backup" for hydrolic brakes system that had zero vacuum to power the brake booster, this could have caused the engine to stall, longer than normal stopping distances (stronger risk of rear ending other drivers), and multiple components and sensors to fail, requiring them to also be replaced.Read more
