On 11/7/25 I brought my Jeep Wrangler 4xe for the two active recalls and an oil change. The battery recall could not be done. The motive power was supposedly fixed. Since then there has been a new problem. The Jeep gets to the point of stall (like the motive power issue) however right before the stall it surges. This really caught me off guard the first few times and I barely avoided three acciden
... ts. Now I know when it feels like it is going to stall to be prepared to slam on the breaks. However this is not really a good situation they really need to do a full recall to fix this thing. I noticed you gave an open investigation and I think it is a separate issue from the loss of motive power issue and I think the fix for the motive power problem has exacerbated this problem of lurching/surging that I have told my dealer about no fewer than three times. The most recent almost stall and surge happened this morning as I was merging into a rotary and again because of that surge I almost lost control of the vehicle.Read more

Road debris under normal driving conditions caused a puncture of the inverter radiator resulting in a total loss of coolant in the inverter and battery system. The car continued to drive normally for roughly 15 miles while utilizing the gas engine on the highway but eventually began struggling to accelerate or brake when switching to the electrical system after moving to residential streets. There is not a means of turning off the hybrid system. I received further warnings for several various driver assist functions becoming unavailable and the car became difficult to steer. My vehicle is under an open safety recall 01C involving the PTU system, and there has been no remedy available for nearly a year. This defect caused a dangerous and sudden loss of acceleration while I was driving, and the manufacturer has still provided no fix, and no support through the dealership. The incident occurred when I was stopped at a red light. When the light turned green,I pressed the
... gas and the vehicle immediately made a loud grinding/shaking noise, shuddered violently, and lost all propulsion. The car would barely move. I was extremely lucky that there was a parking lot directly next to the intersection, and with the tiny amount of movement left,I was able to coast into it. If this failure had happened anywhere else—on a highway, in the middle of an intersection, or without a place to pull off—I could have been rear-ended or caused a collision. My safety was put at immediate risk due to this recall defect. I contacted the dealership, but they stated they could not repair the vehicle because Jeep/Stellantis had not released a remedy, parts, or service procedure for the recall. I was told multiple times that there was nothing they could do until Jeep provided a fix. After the breakdown, an independent shop confirmed the PTU failure, since the dealer still had no ability to repair it. All failed components and documentation are available for inspection. I lost use of my vehicle and was forced to take safety into my own hands. When I submitted reimbursement documentation to Jeep Customer Care, they denied it because the repair was not done at a certified dealer and did not use MOPAR parts—even though no certified repair or MOPAR parts exist for this recall. This leaves me without a safe vehicle, without a remedy, and without support. I am requesting NHTSA intervention due to the ongoing safety risk and the manufacturer’s failure to provide a timely fix and proper reimbursement for their admitted issue with the vehicle.Read more

While driving in approximately 10°F weather after the vehicle had been parked outside overnight during snowfall in Chicago, the vehicle displayed a warning that said “Do Not Drive — Maximum Speed 43 MPH.” At the same time, the brake pedal became extremely hard and the vehicle had significantly reduced braking ability, requiring much longer stopping distance. This occurred without any brake
... warning lights beforehand. After the vehicle warmed up and was restarted, the message eventually cleared but then there was a new transmission warning and the check engine light went on. After driving for a long commute, eventually all warnings disappeared. I personally know another 2023 Yukon owner who experienced the exact same message and braking loss under similarly cold conditions, which suggests this may be a broader safety issue affecting this model year. Because this involved a sudden safety-system activation combined with temporary brake loss, there was a real risk of being unable to stop the vehicle safely or avoid a collision. My vehicle is within the year range of GM’s brake-system software recall N242447990 (eBCM brake fluid loss detection issue), and it is unclear whether my case is related, but the symptoms point to a potential systemic braking or electronic brake control problem in the 2023 Yukon. This issue warrants investigation due to the combination of: • Hard brake pedal • Reduced braking performance • Speed-limiting safety warning • No prior diagnostic warning • Occurrence in very cold temperatures A sudden loss of braking ability is a serious safety defect.Read more

I am experiencing an ongoing issue since the truck was new: the engine hesitates upon acceleration at any speed. When stopped this lag in throttle response makes it difficult to navigate in heavy or unpredictable traffic as the vehicle does not response to the pedal instantly and making intentional sudden speed changes is all but impossible to do safely. Depressing the pedal heavy to try and haste
... n the response makes the truck surge into hard and fast acceleration, worsening the issue. I have discussed this with the dealer and they said this is “normal” for this truck, and I have heard the same from numerous other 3rd generation Tundra owners. This is a safety issue because I don’t have adequate control of the vehicle’s dynamics as the computer is overriding my control of the acceleration, presumably to improve fuel economy. Ultimately this seems to be an intentional design decision by Toyota and puts me and my passengers at risk.Read more

The vehicle does not predictably respond to throttle inputs (if it responds at all), when you come off the brake pedal it will begin rolling at "idle" speed as normal but when you begin to increase throttle input NOTHING will happen for several very important seconds as you roll into an intersection or need the vehicle to accelerate to maneuver. This had happened multiple times before scheduling

The day BEFORE my appointment while trying to make a right hand turn from EB 13st St in Lemont IL to SB Bell Rd, i had stopped for the red light, verified clearance to make the turn, and began my maneuver. I desperately tried to roll my vehicle into the ditch to make space the incoming vehicles to minimize danger, but had no power to do so and was violently T-boned. The vehicle was brought to the dealer for their analysis, the service manager initially claimed "I know exactly what it is" and continued to ask questions that prompted previous knowledge of this issue including what speeds and conditions it will occur at.. two weeks later the vehicle is "ready" and the manager claims the "eprom" had 2 pages of codes in it and that "got rid of the hesitation" I take him for a test drive with me and was able to recreate the issue a few times at which point he said "i understand your frustration with the truck but its a GOOD TRUCK" I drove the truck a few days and continued to experience dangerous and unpredictable delays in throttle response, one of which almost caused me to be rear-ended by a semi while merging from IL-rt83 onto I-55 nb The vehicle has been left behind on a family road trip as it is not safe enough for my family. Description of the Problem: I own a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Limited with approximately 3 months of use. Engine would not start, leaving the vehicle stuck in EV mode only with no ability to accelerate p
... roperly, Vehicle wouldnt go beyond 35mph. The vehicle then stalled and became unsafe to operate on a public road. After restarting, the vehicle displayed a Check Engine Light. Tookk it to the dealer and the dealer reported DTC P1122000, but did not provide clear evidence of an internal system fault. The dealer claimed the event was caused by “20% ethanol in the fuel,” which is inconsistent with U.S. pump labeling laws. When I checked my credit card entries around the time for refuel, all of them are reputed gas stations with nothing lower than "87" gas which is in alignment with car manufacturer's recommendation. This sudden stall created a serious safety hazard, and I am concerned this may be a broader issue with the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid drivetrain, fuel system sensors, or hybrid control module. I am requesting NHTSA to look into whether similar complaints exist, as this failure mode can result in loss of propulsion at speed, putting occupants at risk.Read more

... ted in 2020 at about 10K mileage. Has occurred about 10 times since with about 82K mileage now. The service dealer at Acton Ford tried to reproduce the problem a couple years ago by driving it, but acceleration problem didn’t happen. ... ith the HCU electric pump motor fail on this recall since June of 2024 and it is due to defective parts that do not last as this was the second HCU/Electric pump motor in the truck from the Manufacturer and installed serviced by my local RAM dealer dealer( first one failed at 11,500 miles approximately. my truck has 23,000 miles on it currently as and when the repair part(s) come into stock, it will be the 3rd unit installed. This time on waiting for upgraded parts to be installed under the Recall/Warranty is unacceptable and is not "TIMELY" at all. Additionally if this light comes on during driving with cruise control on it will shut off cruise control and can cause an accident from the deceleration.Read more

The Gas pedal, would not work as I was trying to accelerate when going from the ramp onto the freeway. The pedal had no pump in it, it just went all the way down as I was trying to press and the car started slowing down. I had to pull over on the side of the freeway and restart the car for the pedal to start working again. I came to the dealership the next day on 12/5/25, at around 5:45pm in which

Dear Sir or Madam, I purchased a 2023 Nissan Rogue for $24,510.00 from a New Jersey Nissan dealership. Only 45 days after the purchase, Nissan issued two separate safety recalls involving a risk of crash. Nissan failed to provide the necessary parts for months and did not remedy the safety defects within a reasonable time, as required under the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Act (49 U.S.C. Chapter
... 301). I repeatedly contacted Nissan asking for: 1.a buyback at fair market value, and 2.a rental/loaner vehicle until the recall repairs were completed. Nissan refused both requests, which violates the New Jersey Lemon Law, the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act, and the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act. Because the vehicle was unsafe to drive and Nissan offered no solution, I was forced to sell it for $16,600.00. My financial loss is $7,910.00. I respectfully request: 1.A formal investigation into Nissan North America’s handling of these safety recalls, and 2.Assistance in recovering my $7,910.00 economic loss. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
