We have serviced at Honda dealerships and they said the only fix is a new $1500 camera (but the camera still works). Despite this, no recall has been issued. The contact stated that upon returning to the vehicle, the contact met the owner of the other vehicle. The contact stated that the rear of the other vehicle sustained significant damage, and the owner was able to pull into another spot but had expressed concerns about driving the vehicle. No police report was filed. The vehicle was driven to the residence. The vehicle was later towed to an auto collision repair shop, where it was repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that while reversing out of the driveway, the failure recurred, causing the vehicle to crash into two other parked and unoccupied vehicles. The air bags did not deploy. There was no injury sustained. One of the vehicles sustained a fractured rear passenger exterior light, and the other vehicle sustained a dent on the rear passenger's side fender. The contact's vehicle sustained rear-end damage and was towed to an auto collision repair shop, where it was repaired. A police report was filed. Additionally, the contact stated that the failure recurred while reversing out of the driveway on another occasion, and the vehicle crashed into a telephone pole and into an unoccupied parked vehicle. I tried to go forward again and the car wouldn’t really move, it was very slow to accelerate and then accelerated really fast and I got scared and the breaks were not responsive. The car was very slow to stop- I had to slam on the breaks again in the parking lot. At this point, I was very shaken up and so was my child asking if the car was safe. The shifting wheel was very hot. It wasn’t a sunny day and none of the other parts of the car was hot. At this point I was concerned about the electrical workings of the car and slowly drove back home which was just across Main street and across Channel. I then called Jeep and reported the problem. I also looked online to see if anyone had a similar experience and found a woman had a similar experience on 9/8/25. Road side assistance towed car to dealership. On 1/10/26 the same thing happened. Was backing out of driveway to do errands. Car slow to move when pushing accelerator pedal. Then accelerates very fast without much pressure on accelerator. Very slow to break had to slam on breaks to stop. In reverse, car started rolling forward first. Put back on charger and it seemed to reset everything and car worked normally. While driving, the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of propulsion and significantly reduced acceleration. At the same time, the climate control system stopped producing heat. A red warning message appeared instructing me to stop safely. The vehicle would barely accelerate, creating a dangerous situation while driving. This issue has occurred three separate times, including twice in the same day.
... Each occurrence happened while the vehicle was in motion. The condition resolved only after turning the vehicle off and restarting it. The issue is intermittent and cannot be predicted. The reduced acceleration and loss of propulsion placed my safety at risk, especially at highway speeds, as the vehicle could not respond normally to traffic conditions. The vehicle was taken to a Kia dealership and inspected. A manufacturer tech line case was opened, and testing was performed, including a smoke test. The dealership stated they were unable to duplicate the issue. No repair was made, and the manufacturer closed the tech line case despite the reported loss of propulsion events. The vehicle is currently being retained at the dealership because I do not feel it is safe to operate. The problem was not resolved.Read more

My 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 suffered a sudden Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) failure that put me in grave danger. As I left my workplace in the evening, I heard a “pop” sound and got the dashboard warning, “Check Electrical Vehicle System.” It was unclear what the warning meant. The “Check Electrical Vehicle System” warning returned but gave no indication of whether it was safe to drive or what to check in the electrical system. Driving very slowly, I made it out of the military base (my workplace), parked outside of a closed establishment, and called my husband. He told me to drive further up the road to a well-lit shopping area. I exited the parking lot and entered the intersection of a four-lane highway – and suddenly, when I was in the center about to turn in the direction of traffic, the car stopped and would not respond to the gas pedal. I could not accelerate and was stuck in the middle of the highway. After several frantic pushes on the gas pedal, I was able to coast downward to the shoulder and exit the vehicle. My husband and I had brought the car to the dealer in February 2025 for the December 20, 2024 ICCU recall (NHTSA Recall 24V-868, Hyundai Recall 272). The dealer merely inspected the car and updated its ICCU software. Per Hyundai guidance, it did not replace the ICCU itself. It is taking no apparent steps to do so for 2023 Ioniq 5 owners, leaving us in danger. The seriousness of this problem is compounded by the lack of adequate warning when it occurs out of the blue. The generic “Check Electrical Vehicle System” indicator on the dashboard did not indicate what precisely in the electrical system to check, how serious the issue was, or how much of the 12-volt battery power was left. In March 2025, my 2022 Kia Soul developed a check engine light and drivability problems that progressed to rough idle, loss of power, reduced power with limited speed and an unresponsive throttle, and stalling after continued driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealership, and the dealer performed a major timing related repair (camshaft and related timing/CVVT components) under on 03/07/2025. I
... n January 2026, the check engine light returned and the dealer’s printout shows timing correlation related codes again (P0014 shown as pending and P0017 stored as history). Because the prior event involved loss of power and stalling, I stopped driving the vehicle immediately and brought it in as soon as the dealer had an opening to avoid a repeat safety incident. The dealership has stated the condition is due to low oil or excessive oil consumption and has recommended either engine replacement or additional major timing/engine repairs to make the vehicle drivable. I am concerned this is a recurring engine timing or engine control condition that can lead to reduced power and stalling while driving. I am also aware of recalls or manufacturer campaigns reported for similar Kia Soul vehicles involving engine oil consumption or related engine damage concerns, but my VIN does not show as included. Given the repeat timing related codes and prior reduced power and stalling, I am requesting review of whether this condition warrants broader investigation beyond the current VIN scope.Read more

Infiniti's recall is #R21A3 and the NHTSA ID is 21V373. I have experienced the same exact symptoms as those covered under this recall. Now Inifiniti is telling me that my transmission needs to be replaced as a result of metal shavings in the oil. Again, this could all have been caused by this fuel pump issue which was on their radar in 2021 and 2022 when I brought my car in the first time. The contact stated that there was no visible damage on either vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The dealer informed the contact that no failure was found. The contact noticed that the dealer service report stated that the contact had stated that the vehicle was experiencing rough shifting while idling; however, the contact had only described the incident to the dealer and had not mentioned rough shifting while idling. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact requested buy-back assistance. The manufacturer informed the contact that the buy-back request was denied because neither the State where the vehicle was purchased, nor the State where the contact resided, required the buyback of the vehicle. Additionally, the contact was advised to take the vehicle to another dealer for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.Read more

The vehicle was towed via Hyundai Bluelink to a Hyundai dealership and removed from service. The occupants at the time of the incident included my wife and my minor child. The loss of propulsion, braking warnings, power steering, and hazard lights created a serious risk of a rear-end collision and injury. Due to repeated and escalating safety-related failures involving electrical, braking, and steering systems, I no longer consider the vehicle safe to operate. The most recent incident was on 12/20/2025 where it did not accellerate while merging onto the highway. The problem has not been confirmed or reproduced by the dealer, but we did take the vehicle to the dealer for inspection and they said they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle that would have caused the unintended acceleration. The vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer, the insurance company and an investigator for Hyundai. Hyundai infomed us that they are not taking any responsibility for anything that occurred and that they will not share their investigator's report with us. There were no warming lamps or messages related to the problem prior to the failure. However, there have been other occasions while driving on the open road when the engine has revved on its own and I told Hyundai about that. In doing our own research, we have found that there are other 2023 Hyundai Tucson drivers who have had this exact same problem (unintended acceleration causing a crash) while pulling into parking spaces. Additionally, the air bags did not deploy during the collision and therefore the incident was not recorded by the EDR.Read more

The vehicle is extremely slow to accelerate at low speeds under 20mph. There have been several near accidents due to the lack of acceleration. The recall for the fuel injector was addressed and ECM per manufacture but hasn’t solved the problem. This is dangerous for any acceleration that can cause you to get hit.

The engine and engine management system of my 2018 Hyundai Tucson experienced repeated failures resulting in loss of propulsion and unsafe drivability. In November 2025, while traveling approximately 75 mph on a freeway, the vehicle suddenly entered limp mode without any prior warning, causing an abrupt loss of power in active highway traffic. No warning lamps or messages appeared before the failu
... re. After the loss of propulsion occurred, the check engine light, battery light, and oil light illuminated sequentially. Diagnostic trouble codes P1326 and P0326 were recorded. Initial inspection indicated severe oil consumption despite a recent oil change less than 2,000 miles earlier. A Hyundai dealership replaced knock sensors under warranty. Shortly after release (30 miles), the vehicle again exhibited severe drivability issues, including a flashing check engine light, and required immediate towing. A second Hyundai dealership replaced the short engine block under warranty. Approximately 180 miles after the engine replacement, the vehicle again developed unsafe drivability symptoms, including delayed throttle response, failure to accelerate unless the accelerator was fully depressed multiple times, jerking or lugging when slowing or stopped, and a faint whining noise. The check engine light illuminated again. These failures represent repeated loss of propulsion and unsafe operation following manufacturer-approved repairs, including full engine replacement. The vehicle has been out of service for approximately 57 days and remains in the custody of a Hyundai dealership awaiting diagnostics. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The sudden and unpredictable loss of power at highway speed created a significant risk of collision and serious injury to the driver and surrounding motorists.Read more
