I have been advised that there was a warranty extension done until 10 tears or 150,000 miles. My vehicle currently has 155K miles. I was advised on 12/5 that they will not cover the normally $1200 repair because of the mileage, even though I wasn't provided an explanation why I was not notified. Then I was told due to supply chain issues, Ford is unable to get the lead frame, so they have to order a whole new valve body for $1900.00 if I would like the truck to be repaired. This is my daily vehicle. How is it that an issue that causes a sudden stop, which could lead to collisions and has also been known to shift in reverse not an actual recall since lives are in danger? This should be a true recall and Ford needs to fix. This issue shouldn't have a mileage constraint on it. It is extremely dangerous, as there is no warning before losing all propulsion and it can happen at any speed and at any time. Please note that this appears to be the exact same issue addressed with NHTSA recall 22V-865, and both vehicles are manufactured by FCA and likely use the same hybrid electric powertrain. By addressing this loss of propulsion issue in the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid now, there is a chance to save lives (there was a death caused by the Jeep 4xE recall issue) by mandating this same recall for the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.Read more

When using Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Traffic Sigh Assist (TSA) engaged (the default) on an interstate or other high speed road - for example the current highway speed limit is 65 and the ACC maximum speed is also set at 65 MPH, the TSA (wrongly) detects a much lower speed limit, say 25 MPH, the system flashes a warning AND AUTOMATICALLY APPLIES THE BRAKES without allowing the driver to re
... spond to the warning message. According to the user manual, what is supposed to happen, is that the TSA warning message displayed on the dash says "new speed limit detected" and SUGGESTS that the driver can accept the detected speed limit as the new ACC maximum speed by pressing the RES resume button on the the steering wheel. If the driver does not respond, the ACC max speed stays as set. This is seriously dangerous! imagine going 65 MPH in heavy traffic and suddenly, unexpectedly the brakes are applied so violently that the vehicle skids and swerves out of its lane. This has happened multiple times to me. I believe this is caused by 2 problems: 1 The TSA wrongly detects a significantly lower speed limit sign. I don't know for sure but I guess it might "see" a sign on an exit ramp or parallel service road. 2 The vehicle automatically sets the new TSA speed as the ACC top speed and automatically applies the bakes instead of allowing the driver the option of setting the new speed limit by pressing the RES button. I have spent the last week trying to report this to the RAM dealer and Customer Care but they don't seem to be very responsive. They say I should schedule and pay for a diagnostic session but they have no openings until mid-January. Even if I took it in, I doubt the diagnostics would show anything because this is most likely a software issue. It would also be difficult to duplicate on local roads. I do know another person who has reported this same problem on YouTube and is able to recreate it as detecting a speed limit sign on a parallel service road.Read more

... ucky he could move to the right lane. Vehicle was driven 1.5 miles home at 15 mph and lower. Didn't drive car on 11/10/22. Car driven to dealership on 11/11/22 because there was no indication of anything wrong -- no sounds or dashboard lights or limp mode. Drove to dealership where a scan indicated engine misfire DTC: P0304 was stored in the system. Dealership cleared the system and could not recreate the incident after swapping spark plugs and coils and driving 163 miles over 3 days. Took car home on 11/15/22. Six days later, on 11/21/22, the same thing happened on the highway: as driver accelerated, the engine light came on and flashed and stayed flashing, the engine made vibrating noise, and lost acceleration (limp mode) down to 6 mph on the busy highway. Going 6 mph with flashers on, he was able to reach the ramp for the next exit and pull over on the shoulder. On the shoulder, driver made a video of the engine making clattering sounds and of the engine light flashing on the dashboard. He turned the car off, waited a few minutes, then turned the car back on. Everything seemed fine. Driver exited the highway and drove to the dealership which has had car since 11/21/22. Having no ability to accelerate, and having the vehicle go into limp mode -- having no control -- on a busy highway is extremely dangerous and frightening.Read more

... es when being overtaken by another vehicle, or cresting a hill or when beginning to climb a hill), the speed control, while set would immediately, with no driver input other than light steering INCREASE to 15-30 mph above the speed at which the cruise control was set. Over the period of three days of rental I was able to verify this behavior many times and I was able to capture a video that shows the speed set increase from 65 mph to 90 mph immediately, and the vehicle would begin aggressive acceleration. I have a clear video of the steering wheel and gauge cluster that I cannot attach to this report, but will email upon request. In the video, the malfunction is at the 13 second mark. In this video, the speed control setting increased from 65mph immediately to 90mph and the vehicle started accelerating. Switching the speed control off, or tapping the brake ceased the acceleration, as expected. Vehicle was reported to National car rental and an attempt was made to report it to Ford. Because it was a rental, I am unaware of any corrective action or inspection that may have, or may take place.Read more

I only had my vehicle(2016NissanAltima) for less than 2 weeks before the vehicles major problems started. The engine consistently Stalls, Surges and Shudders. ... he car the RPM will randomly accelerate and I have no way to control the vehicle and then vehicle will go into "Limp Mode" consistently and won't go any faster or slower than the speed the car chooses to do. I don't trust anything of what it says on the dashboard as far as Gas amount, Odometer, MILWarnings, Speed or otherwise. If there are no warnings from the car to alert me with, then that is a major issue with the car and is not mechanically sound and very dangerous for me and other drivers on the road. I have had to make the car sit the majority of the short time I have had it. Because I simply won't drive very far because of the dangers it puts me in everytime I have drove it. I have had to spend my money on transportation to and from work instead of making my first car payment. At this point I want to just Opt-out with the vehicle entirely and give it back to the dealership. This car is just unsafe and should not have been sold in the condition it is in. I only got to drive the vehicle 10 days or so before major issues started with the vehicle. I have not a clue what the details of what is wrong with the car. The only warning signal I do see now, is the MIL and that is not even mentioned in the option menu of the car settings etc. This car needs to be re-manufactured so that it can become a safe running vehicle. I don't have the money that it will take to fix the car. It's far too expensive for me or any hard working citizen to ever afford. I don't advise anyone to own a vehicle of this kind.Read more

I am the owner of a 2014 Hyundai Sonata. That car is 8 years old and has 69K miles on it. At no time did Hyundai Motor Company notify that my car was impacted by an engine failure recall. On November 10, 2022 the car was being driven. At no time did it give any potential warning, instead the car fully stopped while in motion at 25 mph. ... til the car had stalled itself out. When I called the local dealer where the car was purchased, I was promised a call back. That call never came. I was able to contact someone at corporate who did confirm the vin number of my car is on an engine recall. I was told to contact a local dealer to find someone to replace the recall alerts. Again the local SURESKY dealer cannot help me. After spending 4 hours on the phone, I was able to connect with someone in a service department who indicated that the return volume of these car is so extensive that they are backlogged 3 to 4 more. I would encourage all users of this car to immediately end use of it. I would encourage all users to look into local LEMON laws. This entire recall was handled completely wrong by Hyundai Corporate who. Nobody can answer questions, they can only pass you around. The company should be investigated for consumer fraud at the state and federal level. The company should be investigated for proper accounting, proper tax reporting, for the recall.Read more

Hello NHTS, I have been dealing with my vehicle stalling & losing power while driving on the freeway. This is a very dangerous issue with my Honda CRV. I have had this happen several times now and it was reported to Honda. Honda has not yet placed this issue on recall status. This needs to get looked at before someone gets injured or killed.
