So I left the car got it towed the next day to another shop because any ford dealerships I called to see if I could tow for diagnostic test said they had extensive waiting period like one had weeks before they could look at the car. So I had it towed to another car lot who had a good business rating to be told that it seems to look like something had came loose from the transmission. That i may have to get it replaced, this car starts right up, didn't give me any indication of a problem and doesn't even have a hundred thousand miles on it. This created dangerous situations when merging onto highways, crossing intersections, or making turns, as the car could not accelerate to avoid other vehicles or hazards. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. Independent mechanics confirmed repeated ECU and MAF sensor failures. In February 2025, after the vehicle stalled at an intersection, multiple repairs were attempted (alternator, key reset, starter replacement), but the drivability issues persisted, confirming the problem. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected by independent mechanics multiple times. Insurance roadside service documented over ten incidents where the vehicle would not start or stalled, including two towing events. The manufacturer has not inspected this specific vehicle. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes. The check engine light for the mass air flow sensor would illuminate before and during drivability issues. These warnings first appeared in 2017, the first year of ownership. This honda cr-v had a sudden surge of acceleration while the brake pedal was pressed. The brake pedal was stepped off to put car into drive, but then the car suddenly went forward over 30 mph and crashed into a fence and tree in the driveway straight across from it about 5 feet away. The airbag did not immediately deploy, but deployed a minute later. The entire front end of the car was destroyed.

I also got a recall letter about my PTU failure and Feldman Jeep in Livonia falsely reported the recall completed and it wasn’t. These symptoms match the known failure mode of defective 6R80 transmission lead frames, which NHTSA has previously identified as a serious safety hazard due to sudden loss of power, erratic shifting, unintended acceleration, and dashboard failure. The vehicle became undriveable and could not be safely transported to a Ford dealership. It had to be repaired at a nearby independent shop (Auto Stop Elite of Purcellville, VA). The conductor plate was replaced on February 12, 2026, at a total cost of $1,689.59. Despite this being a well‑documented safety defect affecting many Ford F‑150 owners, no recall or service campaign was ever issued for my VIN. No warnings appeared on Ford’s website, Carfax, or through any Ford communication. Other owners have received reimbursement from Ford for the same failure, yet Ford provided no notice or remedy in my case. This defect placed my son’s life in danger and represents a clear safety issue that should be addressed. I am requesting that NHTSA review this incident as part of the ongoing pattern of conductor plate/lead frame failures in Ford’s 6R80 transmissions. We are informing you because we have contacted Ford and they have done NOTHING to resolve this. We had to have it repaired and were never aware that there was a safety recall. We immediately had the vehicle inspected by an independent mechanic and have been advised that the transmission needs to be replaced. There were no warning lights for this failure. The car also had an incident about a year ago where all lights came on and it stopped responding. At that time, we had Honda dealership examine it, and they said they could not find any issues. Additionally, the car has been jerking slightly while shifting, but the issue improved when we had the transmission fluid flushed at the Honda dealership again about a month ago, and no issues were noted by them at that time. On July 3rd I was driving on the highway, and the Jeep went into limp mode. When it ran out of the electric charge, it didn’t switch over to the gas engine and became un-drivable. I brought it to a Jeep service center and they kept it until July 7th. They were not able to figure out why that happened, but obviously it is part of the recall.

The vehicle was taken to a Ford dealership for diagnosis. The dealership reported codes indicating a network communication issue between vehicle modules but stated they were unable to reproduce the failure and no repair was performed. The dealership has requested that I take possession of the vehicle despite the unresolved cause of this failure. Given the loss of throttle response and steering function while the vehicle was in motion, I currently feel the vehicle is unsafe to operate until the underlying issue is identified and corrected. A sudden loss of throttle response and steering control while the vehicle is in motion creates a significant risk of collision, particularly in traffic or at highway speeds. Honda has stated they can't find anything wrong with the vehicle but a quick Google search shows that this is a common issue and I have a video of the dash with all the warning lights should anyone need it as well as photos.Read more

The gas pedal pushes itself down and makes the car uncontrollably accelerate. Braking does not stop this from happening and vehicle is not able to be stopped until the gas pedal decides it's done accelerating. This is VERY dangerous. I had just pulled off from street light, hit button to turn auto engine shutoff off, all of sudden I lose power as if I'm in neutral, engines reving up but won't go. Then kicks in but with less power like gears will not shift. I get to my destination but car will not go in reverse.

The instrument panel in my car went completely dark, leaving me without any knowledge of my speed. This is a massive safety risk. I am taking it to the dealership tomorrow, but there are no issues that came up when this failed, it just failed to boot correctly, and nothing I could do would bring it back.

I was sold this 2024 Mazda cx30 from Ken ganley kia located in mentor Ohio (44060) the vehicle started showing major electrical issues. when they occur I have no control of the functions of anything in the cabin (infotainment, heat/air, braking system,) just to name a few. When applying the brake slowly all of a sudden the car went full acceleration and crashed 500ft away at high speed. The car is crashed but available for inspection for a short period of time until the insurance company takes full posession. There are not open recalls. The only lights on the dash were for TPMS sensor.

In early September 2025, I leased a 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV. Unfortunately, the vehicle has already been in the dealership service department three separate times since I took delivery. The first two service visits occurred after the vehicle completely bricked and would not turn on. ... died. Most recently, the situation has escalated to a significant safety concern. Earlier this week, the vehicle began shaking and intermittently accelerating and decelerating on its own while in operation(I have video proof of this) This behavior poses a serious danger to me and to others on the road. Due to these ongoing issues, I filed a formal complaint with Stellantis and was assigned case number [XXX]. I have been working with Stellantis representative Steve Stander; however, communication has been extremely difficult. Unfortunately, Mr. Stander has not been responsive to phone calls or emails in a timely manner, which has made resolving this matter challenging. At this time, the vehicle is once again in the shop, leaving me without transportation. During our last discussion, Mr. Stander acknowledged that Stellantis understands the vehicle is not dependable and offered $10,000 in down payment assistance along with employee pricing on a new Stellantis product. However, I currently still owe approximately $3,400 on the lease. Given the serious safety issues and repeated failures of the vehicle, I am requesting Stellantis’ assistance in grounding the lease and covering the remaining $3,400 balance so that I may exit this lease. I also previously sent Mr. Stander a video clearly showing the vehicle accelerating on its own to document the issue. I would greatly appreciate your help in resolving this matter as quickly as possible. It is urgent that I be able to safely exit this vehicle situation. My frustration grew as the problem started occurring more frequently, especially when I was in the car with my wife and kids. This is a serious safety concern. I recently took the vehicle to the dealer again (March 2, 2026), where I was charged almost $500 for them to "reboot" the vehicle and assure me it was fixed. However, the issue reoccurred the very next day. For the first time, I am formally reporting this problem in hopes that something can be done. I am taking it back again this Monday.
