On December 27, 2025, while using the vehicle’s Automated Park Assistant feature to reverse into my assigned parking space in my enclosed residential garage, my 2025 BMW X6 failed to detect a fixed concrete structural column directly in its path. ... sued by the parking collision system prior to or during impact. My car was subsequently inspected at an authorized BMW dealership (Braman BMW, Miami). The dealership pulled backend diagnostic data and forwarded it to BMW North America Engineering for review. BMW Engineering confirmed that a sensor related error code was thrown and logged at the moment of the incident while the Automated Park Assistant was actively engaged. Engineering attributed the code to “sensor noise/overwhelm” but somehow concluded it was unrelated to the failure to brake or detect the obstacle. BMW North America’s official position is that there is no defect with the vehicle and has closed the case. No physical testing of the parking sensors, cameras, wiring, or software was performed at any point despite my request. Both Braman BMW in Miami and BMW North America have declined to provide me with the full diagnostic data, error codes, or engineering analysis reviewed internally. This incident represents a potential safety risk not only to me as the sole driver of this vehicle but to pedestrians and bystanders present during automated parking operations.Read more

By this time, the TRAC light had already come on also. I managed a space of no vehicles and steered towards the right safety lane. I pulled over at the local truck stop and stoped my truck to rest. After about 5 minutes I tried starting my truck and it wasn’t starting. I am a little mechanically inclined, so I started troubleshooting the truck. My code reader gave these codes: P1605-00, P0300-27, P0300-85, and P0302-00. Unscathed to start the truck after a while and got back on the road. The drive was brutal, as the truck kept burping erratically, but I made it home safely. I took my truck to the mechanic and he did some repairs and told me the issue is the fuel pump. I have checked the recalls for my truck but it shows zero recalls for my truck. Luckily I am alive to report this life threatening safety issue that Toyota has on this model. How do I get Toyota responsible to make the repairs on my truck? The part alone is over $1200 at O’Reily auto parts.Read more

Ive taken this tacoma to Nalley dealer and they've replicated the problem but thought if resetting driving mode would clear the problem. That did not clear the problem and its currently causing the same issue. The tech seems clueless in whats going on when ive explained that it happens at a certain mph and while going down incline. The tech know that this has occurred when he taken the tacoma on a test run. Some how the tech think a reset of driver style handling is the issue. The tacoma isn' responding to a driver style handling reset. Ive scheduled another appointment with the dealer to have the tech check the tacoma again. There are other years of Tacoma's that have this problem. I believe this particular tacoma has the same issue as the other tacoma years that are under a torque converter recall.The symptoms are identical compared to other tacoma year models under the torque converter recalls.I don' want this problem to become a hazard where the tacoma cause a massive pile up in traffic because of the unstable mph at 40 mph.The 2015 tacoma doesn't keep steady speed limit at 40 mph going down incline. Five days after getting back our car from the Honda dealership where they “fixed” the two recalls all warning lights came on and not turn off. Steering, breaking, accelerating all are difficult. There were no issues prior to the dealership “fixing” the recalls. The car was just at our mechanic for brakes and they check our engine, fluids etc every time. There were no prior issues.

I took back 3 times and got a different answer each time. I believe the turbo charger may have been affected from the fuel pump being bad. The latest diagnostic says it has turbo under boost issue.

The car has had other related issues since June 2024 when I bought it. The TPMS system, the accelerator system, and the airbag system have all malfunctioned independently. The accelerator system malfunctioned in Jan. I had to pay for a replacement fuse despite the warranty. The vehicle is modified with Braunability equipment for wheelchair access. These modifications are approved by Toyota and were completed by MobilityWorks. Aside from the vehicle itself being unsafe to drive, the passenger sliding door has had numerous problems. On 3/07/26, the door mysteriously slammed shut after opening and would not open again. These are all dangerous situations that could have resulted in fatal accidents.Read more

I will get an alarm that says "Take Wheel" with hands at 10 and 2 on steering wheel looking straight ahead. Get an alarm that have trailer light problem and will turn on blinker and it will flash quickly for 10 seconds and then is normal. Radio skips on FM, AM, XM, MP3 Player at times. Had lane assist on , adaptive cruise, etc. Check engine went on and car start to rapidly decelerate, and again all safety features where turned off for something that is not fixed would potential cause reduce MPG, damage the catalytic converter, cause black smoke. None of this should require all safety features to be turned off. This is going to kill someone. I know your not suppose to have your hands off the wheel when using lane assist but people do it. I was in bumper to bumper traffic on 40 going 65 MPH. Not only would I have been at risk but everyone around me. ... started it and I took off to get home asap during my ride home I encountered this problem a couple more times , I took it and had a diagnostics on it and it showed a code of p0720 which indicated a transmission speed sensor problem so I looked up any recalls on this issue and found that in fact my truck had been recalled for this issue so I contacted Ford and they have my truck under the customer appreciation program and informed me that I was past the extended warranty program and my truck was over 150,000 miles so basically they were no longer responsible to fix it but my truck is actually under the recall status because it has the 5.0 liter engine and that recall calls for a programming and molded lead frame replacement and from what I read that recall don't expire because it is a safety issue and the code is stored in my PCM and cant be erased so my question is , is my truck still covered under the 19S19 recall since my engine is the 5.0 liter v8 coyote engine ?Read more

There was a video that captured this incident and was shown to our Ford dealership and they did not do anything about it. We told them that the vehicle accelerates by itself and is a safety hazard. Since this did not involve any other vehicle or pedestrian the hazard was limited only to ourselves, The insurance was charged more than $10,000 to fix the damages and we also had to pay a deductible of $1000. Vehicle would not start and needed to be towed to the dealership where is sat for 12 days before they replaced a water damaged RF hub. There was no cracks or leaks located but there was water damage. Weather conditions: Sunny and dry, temperatures in the mid-50s. This failure created a dangerous situation. While driving at highway speed. This incident placed my sons life and the lives of others on the road in danger. Since this frightening event, we have conducted extensive research and discovered that this appears to be a well-documented issue affecting Dodge Ram trucks, specifically involving moisture entering the cab and damaging the RF hub, which can cause electrical failures and loss of drive power. The dash shutting off and truck losing power while driving — is a major safety issue. Situations like this are known to fall under sudden loss of power / drive power investigations by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). I' am requesting a formal investigation into the moisture intrusion issue affecting Ram trucks, consideration for a recall or technical service bulletin addressing this defect and invoice reimbursement.Read more

Toyota dealership service inspection indicated an internal transmission failure requiring full transmission replacement, with an estimated repair cost of approximately $15,000. The vehicle currently has only 77,980 miles. A major transmission failure at this mileage appears premature. I have also learned that other Toyota C-HR owners have reported similar CVT transmission issues. Because the transmission affects acceleration and drivability, I am concerned that this condition could potentially create a safety risk in traffic, particularly during merging or acceleration situations.Read more

While turning left, the transmission stuttered and got stuck in first gear. I did some basic research and learned that this is a known issue with 2020-2022 Chevrolet Silverado vehicles. I attempted the suggested fix which worked briefly. I then took the vehicle to my local Chevrolet dealer for repairs. After further research I learned that this is a known issue with my year and model of Silverado.
... GM further voluntarily offered a 15 year, 150,000 mile warranty for this issue. According to GM, my particular VIN is not included in this recall. I am concerned as to how many other trucks are not included. This issue also cost nearly $4,000 for the repair.Read more

I am reporting a defect involving my **2025 Buick Encore GX AWD manufactured by General Motors. Within two days of purchasing the vehicle, the dashboard displayed the warning message “Service Charging System – Vehicle May Stall.” I contacted the dealership on the third day of ownership and was instructed to bring the vehicle in for service. Since that time the vehicle has required multiple r
... epair visits related to the charging system. Repairs included diagnosis of the electrical charging system, replacement of the alternator, and replacement of wiring harness components related to the charging system. I later learned the alternator had already been replaced prior to my purchase of the vehicle, and it required replacement again after purchase during the repair process. Because the charging system warning appeared almost immediately after purchase, I am concerned the defect may have existed prior to the vehicle being sold. Although the warning message is not currently appearing after the most recent repair, the defect occurred almost immediately after purchase and required repeated service visits. The vehicle still does not appear to operate normally. While driving at a steady highway speed, pressing the accelerator sometimes results in no immediate response. There can be a delay of approximately one to two seconds before the vehicle begins accelerating even when additional pressure is applied to the accelerator pedal. I have also noticed the engine sounds louder than expected while idling. Because the original warning indicated the vehicle may stall and the vehicle continues to demonstrate abnormal acceleration response, I believe this may represent a potential safety concern. I sought resolution with the manufacturer, however the manufacturer has not accepted responsibility for the condition. I am submitting this complaint so the issue is documented in case other owners experience similar charging system or acceleration problems.Read more

Unknown. The transmission is kicking really bad. There are recalls on other vehicles similar to ours that are having the same issue. It has been doing this for a while now. It shifts hard from 1st to 2nd gear and when coming to a complete stop it also jerks. Also at times the check engine light comes on and it will not shift at all. I am afraid this is going to cause an accident.

Approximately one month ago, I noticed that the vehicle would not accelerate the way it normally does. A error code came on. I took the vehicle to Auto Zone for error code check. I was informed that the powertrain control module speed sensor had gone bad. I looked this up and found that Ford had a recall on 2011 Ford F-150s for similar issues. ... net site, and the vehicle began to operate normally. About one week later, I noticed that the vehicle would not shift above third gear and was accelerating very sluggishly. On further investigation I fount that the vehicle would not shift out of third gear (up or down). I again disconnected/reconnected the battery, and again it began operating normally. I contacted the local Ford dealership and they said that I should have received a letter in May 2019 about the PCM recall. I didn't recall receiving the letter, but Ford Motor Co. Customer Service says the PCM was actually reprogrammed on March 29, 2019 to repair the issues related to the recall. My concern is that the PCM speed sensor is malfunctioning again even after the repairs were supposedly performed by Ford. I am concerned that the vehicle may again be potentially unsafe to operate at highway speeds. I wanted to make NHTSA aware of the potential for ongoing safety issues with this vehicle even after Ford's proposed fix.Read more

The car will slip a little bit and then shut the motor down to a crawl making it very dangerous in traffic. The 4x4 doesn't seem to work as we turn it on to try to eleminate slipping. The slipping mostly occurs because of the motor becoming doggedly slow and then decides to speed up. The 4x4 on and the turning of the anti-slip do not work because it still slips and shuts down. I am submitting this complaint to report a serious vehicle safety incident involving my 2017 Lincoln MKZ Select that resulted in a catastrophic engine fire while the vehicle was in operation. Prior to the incident, the vehicle underwent a long block engine replacement performed by Murgado Ford Lincoln of Chicago pursuant to Ford Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 22-2229. After the vehicle was returned to me following this repair, the engine later experienced a sudden catastrophic mechanical failure while I was driving. The vehicle rapidly began emitting smoke from the engine compartment and subsequently caught fire. The fire escalated quickly and rendered the vehicle a total loss. At the time of the incident, the vehicle was being operated under normal driving conditions. There was no collision or external cause that would have triggered the fire. The event appears to have originated within the engine compartment following the recent engine replacement. The vehicle was subsequently towed and is currently stored at City of Chicago Auto Pound No. 6 following the fire incident. The vehicle has not been repaired or altered since the event and remains available for inspection. Given that this vehicle had recently undergone a major engine replacement under a manufacturer technical service bulletin, I believe the circumstances warrant review to determine whether the incident may be related to: a defect in the replacement engine assembly improper installation of the engine or related components fuel, oil, or electrical system issues associated with the repair. This incident presented a serious safety risk to the driver and could have resulted in severe injury or loss of life. I was fortunate to escape the vehicle safely before the fire fully developed.
