The anti lock brake system has failed on my 2018 Ram 2500. This has been confirmed by the dealer as well as an independent shop. First case was hauling a trailer full of wood, a car pulled out in front of me, I slammed the brake and the anti skid failed, brakes locked up. Because the light is intermittent the other symptoms are intermittent to include cruise control and the most critical; traction control. This problem caused me to lose control on black ice in Hastings MI about a month ago and swerve into oncoming traffic. No accident resulted. This is a known problem on this truck and there is a technical service bulletin published as well as a class action law suit. Because of this myself, as well as other owners, are reluctant to pay thousands to fix it because we are awaiting action from your office to drive a recall. Also, the car would not turn off after pressing the On/Off button. The button would need to be pressed repeatedly to turn off the vehicle. All of these safety systems and functions were disabled at the same time without prior warning while driving at highway speeds. The Honda dealer confirmed the problem, inspected the vehicle, and concluded a faulty ABS control module is to blame. We know of one other 2024 Honda Pilot owner in our neighborhood who experienced the same issue, which makes it likely that this is a common problem. Honda should have designed redundancies to prevent sudden simultaneous failure of so many safety systems. I had to call them back the same day to ask why the light was still on and if they fixed it, and they said to bring it back in. Once I did, they said they would have to take apart my engine. After bringing it to two other mechanics (the failure getting progressively worse), one of them was kind enough to let me know my car was recalled. ... ut my pressing the accelerator. There were no warnings on the dash at this time. Once it reached 55MPH, it slowly began to decrease it's speed without my pressing the brake or accelerator. As it started decreasing in speed, a warning popped up "Check Hybrid system, Stop safely". At this time, the battery level showed 0 bars though it showed half full (8 bars before this happened). I got over to the side of the highway and continued coasting until the vehicle slowed itself to a complete stop at which point the car put itself in Park and engaged the Emergency Brake and the dash displayed "Parking brake automatically engaged" and the Engine Oil Pressure Warning light came on. I attempted to put the car back in Drive and the dash displayed "Shifting conditions not met". I turned the car off, let it sit a few minutes and restarted it. When I restarted it, the battery showed 0 bars and the display said "Park with engine On to charge battery". I put it in Drive and I was able to drive without any issues. The battery level went back up 6 bars in less than a minute and I drove it to the dealership. This was the 2nd time this happened. The same exact thing happened the first time and when I took it to the dealership they couldn't replicate the issue and there were no codes recorded. First incident was on 1/12/24. I immediately pulled over, put it in park and turned the vehicle off. It worked fine after restarting it. Second incident was on 1/25/24. This complaint is about difficulties with the horn sensor on the steering yoke under emergency situations. After 14 months of driving the car, I have these safety issues: 1) The horn sensor is difficult to find in emergency situations. It is a single, small area located farthest away from the right-hand rest position and touching it requires a long stretch with the thumb. When turning, it is easy
... to lose the orientation of the yoke and nearly impossible to find the horn sensor. (See #5 in the attached image). 2) The horn sensor is near the cruise-control button ("right scroll button"). The cruise-control button is raised and I have accidentally engaged the cruise-control on multiple occasions when trying to reach for the horn sensor. I would lift off the accelerator, expecting to slow down, but imagine my panic when the car speeds-up due to the accidentally engaged cruise-control. (See #8 in the attached image). 3) The horn sensor does not work when wearing regular gloves. None of the steering yoke sensors with gloves. You have to wear special touch-senstive gloves. 4) The steering yoke airbag is NOT a horn button. All of my previous cars since 2000 had airbag horns. This is a hard habit to break. I urge the NHTSA to recall the steering yoke and make the airbag a physical horn button. This would alleviate the four safety issues above. Thank you.Read more

I was driving 72 mph, and went to accelerate to 75 mph to set my cruise control. Vehicle has been having accelerator issues. Car has not been registering acceleration. This has happened on 6 separate occasions. The first occurrence happened when I was at an intersection and I took my foot off the brake and put my foot on the gas pedal. No acceleration besides the torque received when not applying gas (1-3mph). This lasted for about 7-10 seconds and then I jolted forward due t
... o gas pedal being pressed down and car registering the gas. The other occurrences have happened when I start my car in the morning. I will start my car and apply gas. The car does not register the gas, it moves slowly from the torque converter. This lasts about 7-8 seconds of this slow moving. My foot is applied to the gas pedal, but car doesn't register it. After about 8 seconds, my car will register my foot being on the gas pedal. It goes from about 1 mph to 12-17 mph in 2 seconds. When it does, the gas pedal is not pressed 1/2 day down, 3/4 way down or all the way down to the floor. The gas pedal is pressed very gently. I learned from the first time in the intersection, not to press the gas pedal down all the way due to the aggressive acceleration of the car at an unknown time. The date of the intersection occurrence I did not record due to me thinking it was a one off situation. After the second time I started documenting each time this happened. Temperatures have varied from when this happens, it does not happen when it is a certain temperature out. I have driven my car consistently and does not happen when leaving my car sit for long periods of time. I have had regular maintenance on my car. Date of events this has happened 01/08 01/16 01/17 01/29 01/31 This is very concerning to me as I am afraid my car will hit an object or a human without my control.
