Initial report on March 7, 2022 (approx. 94K miles), second report on Dec. 12, 2023 (approx. 111,700 miles). Third report March 27, 2024: Recent event occurred on March 23, 2024 (approx. 112K miles) when my vehicle suddenly stopped moving while driving 55mph on a freeway with child passenger in the vehicle, putting both of us at risk for collision. ... rior to or during event. The vehicle did not move again after multiple attempts to accelerate to exit freeway safely. After shifting to neutral and back to drive, the vehicle suddenly jolted and accelerated randomly while holding foot on the gas pedal (no control over timing of acceleration). We were able to exit the freeway safely. This same issue repeated multiple times while driving us to a safe area to call for a tow truck. The vehicle was towed to dealership location it was originally purchased at on March 26, 2024. Diagnostics appointment scheduled for March 28, 2024. I have completed oil change services on this car about every 1,200 miles to keep the engine running since there was no solution for any of my previous reports to dealership (even when opening a case with Hyundai), their previous determination was to close case since the diagnostics report did not show error codes in report. Previous dealership advisor made a verbal comment that the real problem is something their computers do not scan codes for, and his recommendation was to "drive it til the wheels fall off" after paying thousands in services that did not solve the root problem. The car jerked a lot and broke down completely 3 times. I was able to restart the first two times but the third time it took a while and I was stalled in heavy traffic on [XXX] north of Gainesville. Luckily, a trucker pulled up behind me and put on his flashers to keep me from being hit. After sitting there several minutes, it did restart and I drove to Ft. Myers where I took it to the Acura Dealer there, Scanlon Acura. They, too, ran diagnostics and said nothing showed up. I drove it to our condo and it died before I could turn into my driveway. I called Triple A to come tow it back. This time they gave me a loaner, said they checked it out and the manager drove it over night to his home. They said it had water in the gas tank and we had to pay for the draining as that is not covered. When I picked the car up the maintenance sheet also stated a leaky valve but said there was NO water in the gas tank. I had to request my money back and asked about the valve. Was told it was a mistake. While driving on highway, dashboard lights for brakes, check engine, and TPMS all came on. Unable to accelerate vehicle and pulled over to side of highway. Shut off the vehicle then started it again. Light for brake system stayed on, other lights were off. Was able to reach destination. Upon return, no lights came on and vehicle was able to be driven home.

I'm concerned about these events causing an accident from the sudden speed reduction, or getting into a road rage situation because the person behind me thinks I am brake-checking them. Internet research indicates that these complaints are very common during the past few years. If Tesla can't - or doesn't want to - solve the problem, they should at least allow us to choose basic cruise control to avoid this problem. Adaptive cruise control would be more reliable with radar, but Tesla is doing everything it can to make the cars cheaper, and radar was eliminated. Personally, I think trying to do everything with cameras is a fatally flawed approach - especially considering cars travel at night and in varied weather and lighting conditions.Read more

There is some sort of electrical issue. Things keep going in and out: internal lights, cruise control, turn signals in front and back go out 6-9 times a year, ABS light stays on even after it was serviced, the radio goes in and out. Accelerator pedal was delayed coming back up when pressed. It is available for inspection. Because of this happening while I was parking the car, it collided with a tree about 20 feet in front of it. Currently own a 2017 Honda Accord Sport just over 100k miles, regularly maintained and serviced. All of a sudden my vehicle takes longer to start and the most shocking issue is that I was driving to work as normal and when I went to accelerate onto the interstate my vehicle suddenly started jerking and it seemed as though my vehicle was not getting fuel even though I was pressing the accelerator.

I have a Hyundai Tuscon 2019, which was pre-certified by Hyundai. This particular car was part of a lawsuit because of a knock sensor issue. ... oblem is that Hyundai has now tried to fix this issue twice on my vehicle, and the knock sensor continues to fail. To be clear, they've replaced the sensor twice. Based on the lawsuit, the court mandated them to fix the knock sensor. They have done that free of charge, but the sensor continues to fail. To me this sounds like a manufacture issue. It is incredibly dangerous when you're on a highway and the sensor fails. It happened to me, and it was almost catastrophic. The car slowed down and there is nothing you can do about it. I noticed there was something wrong very quickly and put my hazards on. If I didn't, I may not be writing you here. You could easily get into a significant accident, and from that could lead to injury or loss of life. I am asking for a review of this. I have my service records as well as recorded conversations with Hyundai corporate regarding this issue. Service records are attached. Apparently the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) which is built into the gas pedal on this 2014 MB CLA250 only lasts so long before it becomes defective under highway conditions and causes the vehicle to go into LIMP MODE. When full acceleration is necessary, the unit will work for perhaps a few months or less, and then continue to fail worse and more frequently with each attempt at full acceleration

At highway speeds, this is an essential feature in a 4-cylinder vehicle such as this one and without the necessary acceleration capability, can expose the driver to serious risk of collision with other on-coming vehicles traveling at highway speeds. This "Limp Mode" features is extremely dangerous and hazardous to not only the driver of their vehicle, but to other drivers around them since they are left in a devastating position of being unable to accelerate normally and as necessary and as one would expect in any vehicle, let alone a Mercedes Benz. Never before have I driven a car that falls out of full acceleration mode only to subject the driver to serious collision circumstances. Whoever the imbecile is at MB engineering who incorporated this Limp Mode Feature should be fired!!! To make matters worse, this cheaply built TPS, which is the cause of the problem in my vehicle specifically, was only warrantied twice by the dealer and now they will not replace it under warranty which is a two-year period. I've only had the part 5 months before it failed again due to poor manufacturing and I had to pay all over again for a new one despite my warranty validity. There have been many other MB owners who have the same complaint for Limp Mode, which tells me that it's definitely not me, but rather the poorly built or engineered vehicle, as a matter of fact. MB has denied having these complaints to me, which of course, is a lie. That's misleading and deceptive business practices in my State and MB needs to live up to its warranty provisions and respect its customers.Read more

After taking vehicle to dealership, to get diagnosed, they suggested several repairs totaling over $3800, which none could insure that it would fix problem (2 of their suggestions were already done by my mechanic). Taking dealership suggestions, my mechanic replaced spark plugs and coil boots, adjusted valves which were fairly close, along with new valve cover gaskets. Now my vehicle runs better but has this engine knock when engine switches from ECO mode to regular full cylinders. Asked dealership about checking/reprogramming control module, but they won't do it!? ... riveable, but the front bumper is mangled and the left blinker no longer works. The headlights are functional. The charger panel releases and I can pry it open, though it no longer pops up. No airbags were deployed. The car was going slow enough, there seems to be no damage to the building. I'm concerned what could happen when we drive into our garage or, worse, if there is a car or pedestrian in front of our car and rather than braking the car accelerates. I have seen several reports of similar experiences, though no resolutions or suggestions. I can imagine this being a one-time occurrence, but I am deeply concerned it is not. I've been at a loss in who and how this can be addressed. I have called several Nissan dealers. The service people that I spoke with were not optimistic about what they could discern and, more importantly, did not seem concerned. As a result, I called my long-time car mechanic who did some initial diagnostics, but they were inconclusive. There have been no other inspections. ... sues. The research we’ve been able to obtain regarding Service Campaign 966 (“SC966”) appears to exclude the 2013 Tucson model unless it has a Theta II engine. The service department at Dick Smith Hyundai stated that if we would have had our car serviced at the dealership, we would have been informed of SC966. As we are the second owner of an eleven-year-old vehicle, we do not typically have it serviced at a dealership. Oddly enough, we received a notification regarding the knock sensor on 3/18/24 almost one month after we contacted Hyundai Customer Support and after the vehicle was towed to Dick Smith dealership and we spoke with the service department. We have been informed by the local dealership (Dick Smith Hyundai service department) that it is unlikely that the engine will be replaced under the Hyundai Class Action Lawsuit, or any open Recalls and it will be 2-4 months before a decision is rendered regarding the matter. We are also being charged a diagnostic fee for their services of approximately $200.00. Regardless of the recall coverage, our experience with this vehicle engine seems to mimic the exact same symptoms and issues as the Make/Models that are included in the published Recall notice by Kia/Hyundai, and we would like to make this known to protect other consumers and to see if there is any recourse and/or assistance for us.Read more

After shutting the vehicle off and turning it back on, the issue has persisted. Anytime it is in drive or reverse, it accelerates at an extreme rate.
