Starting in July 2023 I have noticed that the oil consumption for my car is racing through the engine. I barely make it 1000 miles before the oil is completely gone. After 2 local oil changes - I decided to take it to the Hyundai dealer where I purchased the car. This was in October - I have brought my car in 4 times for 1000 mile oil consumption tests. I had to add an additional visit due to

Now I have to bring it again today - Hyundai has not told me what the next step is other than I have to leave the car there all day - after they speak to tech support they will determine next steps. Most likely a combustion cleaning. Then I have to start the 1000 mile consumption tests again. I live 35 mins from the dealer - I have had to hire someone to take me there to leave car - and I then have to take mass transit to work. There are never any loaners because they are booked months in advance. I have had to rent numerous cars for long distance travel due to the mileage meter of 1000 miles on my car - I am not allowed to go over - if I do have to start all over again. That happened to me the first time. My car is crap at this point - I am not able to use it as I should be able to and Hyundai is giving us the run around. I have been contacted about trading it in and getting a new Hyundai - what a scam. I am not the only person - there are so many of us - follow the chats on Facebook and Reddit - nobody is helping us. The staff said if your engine seizes - that would be great. People are seizing on highways - that is very scary to me. Why is this not recalled yet?Read more

This has been verified by a dealer in Columbus, GA. It is constantly going off and on. The warning light and the warning bell are a constant distraction to the driver. I have had three occasions where the dashboard lights would flash and the car would lose all power. The first occasion occurred on December 29th at around 12:20 pm at a crowded intersection. The dashboard lights lit up and all of a sudden the car had no power at all. I managed to get it through the intersection and pull it off to the side of the road. Additionally, I took the car to get serviced and was charged a $1,800 bill to fix it in January. This repair took two weeks to complete. The car has since turned off two additional times on February 15th going down a hill at 40 mph and March 26th on a mountain road going 60 mph. I am very concerned this will happen on the highway and I will get into a serious accident or worse. To make matters more difficult, I have taken the car back to the Hyundai dealer again to have it looked at in April and will most likely be without the car for at least another week. ... la has changed the default behavior of the cruise control activation (one single downward press on the stalk) to instead activate Autopilot. My attempt to regain control caused me to jerk the wheel side to side in a way that could have led to an accident had I been in heavier traffic. This was unexpected behavior from the vehicle and I find it unacceptable that Tesla has changed a default function in this manner. I had to hunt around on the screen to find the setting to change the behavior back to regular Traffic Aware Cruise Control from one downward press. Furthermore, on the same 20 mile trip I had three phantom braking incidents while the car was on Traffic Aware Cruise Control mode. This is more than typical and these events can be dangerous if they happen in traffic. In the 2-1/2 years than I have owned and driven this vehicle, I've had no problems. On Saturday, [XXX], driving home from a 80 mile trip, as I deaccelerated to make a left turn onto my street (speed was 7mph) I tapped the break pedal and the vehicle went bonkers! The Sienna veered right at a high rate of speed that the front end cleared the curb; the back end smashed into the curb flattening

I was able to steer the vehicle: missing a large 2-foot high tree stump; two other large trees; a 10-foot high solid fence at the yard back. I then drove down the sidewalk to the next intersection and was finally able to slow down. This entire time, my foot was on the break, but the vehicle would not stop. The Sienna is now at Faulkners Collision Center in Mechanicsburg with virtually no front end damage but colossal rear damage. The vehicle had 5-full maintenance checks since purchase. I was not told of any suspected problems and never received a vehicle recall. I could have been killed or may have killed others as there is a playground on the corner of this block. The lead frame on my truck was experiencing issues. The truck would intermittently randomly downshift at high speeds or get stuck in one gear. I was going 65+ mph on the freeway and and my truck shifted to second gear with no warning causing me to swerve and slam on the brakes. Other times my truck did it on surface streets. There were no warning lights or anything to let me know it would happen.
... After it downshifted, the wrench popped up on the dash, my speedometer went to 0, and my odometer read blank. Forcing me to pull over, restart the truck, in order to get it out of limp mode to be able to make it home. I took my truck to Ford of Valencia California where they inspected the truck and confirmed it was the lead frame. The issue was that at the time the part was on an 8 month back order so my only option was to replace the entire Valve body instead of only the lead frame. My truck was no longer under the recall and I was forced to pay for this out of pocket less than a month of purchasing the truck from a used dealership. My truck was only inspected by Ford of Valencia and no other agencies. Since this truck was my only form on transportation, I could not wait the 8 months for the lead frame to come in and had to pay out of pocket for the new valve body.Read more

This is just the worst .my radio turns on and off at Will .my driver side window will not roll down unless it’s below 30° outside which is super strange, and my air conditioning turns itself on turns itself off, but this was the scariest this is happened before last year and I had Aamco look at the transmission. This truck has suffered all sorts of issues relating to the lead frame inside of the transmission. This lead frame houses the speed sensor, range sensor ,and temperature sensor. With extensive repairs the issue keeps arising. Ive had 3 new Remanufactured transmissions installed im currently about 6,000 miles into my new transmission with the same issues. The system of my car kept saying that low oil pressure and I was confused because I just got my car oil changed two weeks ago. So I went to Jiffy Lube to get my oil checked. They said it was full and that I had a mass flow light on and they stated that there was something wrong with the oil pressure due to the airflow or something, so then my car stopped on side of the road 2 minutes after I left

Someone almost hit my car because my car was accelerating slow, so I had to pay a tow truck to take my car home then I have to pay for a mobile mechanic to come out to my house to see the issue. he said that it was , the vacuum pump, the engine oil pressure was low due to the airflow just like jiffy lube said and also the timing belt or chain tension needed to be replaced. Now I have been without a car for a week and every time I call the dealership they said that there is no parts in stock. I have also called the vehicle safety hotline 1-888-327-4236 and the number is out of service. So I don’t know what to do. I am without a car I don’t know how to rent a car because I don’t have the money for it because I just paid over $600 (Tow truck, oil service and diagnosis test). I don’t know if you guys can trade my car in for something else or give me a loaner car but something has to be done. You guys have to help me out some kind of way due to this recall. This is acceptable especially since I have to Uber my kids to and from school and daycare and I have to Uber myself to work, pick up my kids and home every day. Been inspected by the dealer. ABS modules as with many other owners cannot be replaced due to a lack of inventory on a vehicle less than 10 years old. Abs and traction control lights stay on as well as having the brakes locking up during wet conditions. It’s completely unsafe and too widespread for the company not to have a solution. Much less at the owners dime due to a flawed design.

Of note, my entire battery was replaced less than 6 months prior and the Nissan Peoria (AZ) dealership reported no other issues with the vehicle. ... ged forward. After 'crawling' home, I had it flat-bedded to a dealership that day, and it took them almost 2 weeks and multiple test drives to tell me that that cannot recreate this issue. I was told by the service advisor that there was an issue and that could see it in the vehicles history. I went to the dealership and asked them how long they would keep testing it if they were not able to replicate the problems. They said 'it was up to me'. I took the vehicle home. We only had it for a day and less than 100 miles of driving and the problem occurred again, after dark, on a busy road in an intersection and the truck would not move at all for a few tense moments. The gear selector dial flashed repeatedly and the parking brake came on by itself. We had the truck flat-bedded back to the dealership the next day and it will stay there until the solution is found to eliminate this dangerous and life-threatening operational fault. ... 36,000 miles on the odometer, I went to Andy Mohr Chrysler Dodge Jeep for diagnostics. Service Department reported a code for internal ABS Module Failure. I then returned to the Dealership at 39,249 miles on [XXX] for recall on drag link replacement in steering and for repair of traction control system. Steering system was repaired but parts were on national back-order for ABS Repair. They delivered truck on [XXX] but kept repair order open with no charge at that time. Received call from dealership saying parts had arrived for ABS system for repair on [XXX]. Repairs were completed and I picked truck up on [XXX]. The invoice total was $1862.27, as they had charged for the steering recall also. After a month of back and forth with the service department and then speaking to the General Manager, they refunded $187.31 on 3/4/2024 meaning the ABS repair was $1674.96. I'm still unsure if that is the correct amount. Repair order # [XXX]. Truck is now working properly when braking. When taking off initially with the truck sometimes within the first 30 seconds of moving there is two yellow lights that come on the dash, while the center text window displays service brake system. My road is a steep downhill to my house then a left into the drive. As I was slowly pulling into the driveway the vehicle jerked violently many times as if it was trying to stop but couldn't. I was not applying the brakes, but letting off the accelerator for the regenerative function to slow the car. When the jerking occurred I tried to brake and the brake pedal did not respond. The vehicle finally locked the wheels and came to a stop. Many warning lights came on rapidly. The message I saw was a braking fault then the car died and all screens shut off. I was half way in the road and now in front of an oncoming vehicle. I couldn't get it to start up. Fortunately the oncoming vehicle slowed and crept around me. My Fisker Ocean the rebooted itself and I was able to get it into the garage. I have under 2700 miles on it. This update 2.0 was promised to fix many of these issues and now put myself and others in danger. I suspect it was the hold function that caused the issue. It seemed like it was trying to stop and hold while I was moving. I contacted the technician who is looking into the data and I reported it to Fisker. I had taken delivery of the truck 4 days earlier and had driven about 250 miles. There had been no warnings or incidents other than an issue with charging at my home. The Charger would fail 20 seconds after each charging attempt at home, but not at a Super Charging Station. On [XXX] a series of alerts went off regarding steering. The system continued sending additional alerts saying that "Low voltage electrical system issue detected" and that vehicle power had been reduced. I made multiple attempts to resolve the issue from following the on screen directions of existing the vehicle to restarting the onboard computer before eventually reaching out to Tesla's Support Number. The truck could only move at a crawl (less than 5mph) and had difficulty getting onto the incline of the tow truck. At one point no amount of acceleration could take it further. The truck was towed to the Tesla Service Center that same evening. My concern is what if this would've happened on the highway? Since then I've attempted to reach out to the Tesla Service Center in Fort Lauderdale both in person and on the App and have not received any additional information. The service completion repair time has been pushed back from March 17th to March 27th to April 3rd with no explanation or follow-up. The car began to jerk when driven. One day, it stopped working; the engine was still running but it wouldn't shift gears. The transmission was repaired, and several parts were replaced. However, the car still jerks when reaching 50 miles per hour, the horn doesn't sound, not even the alarm, and it makes a loud noise when making a tight turn.

Anytime the vehicle goes over a bump the vehicle lunges forward even if the operator is pressing the brakes. Collison warning does not work properly and lane departure warning is spotty. Interior lights randomly come on and off without any operator control. Fisker has not done anything since November 5, 2023 when I took delivery of the car.

I want to report what I think is a very dangerous issue with my Tesla Model Y. We have experienced numerous times that the car brakes without warning. I have talked to Tesla about this "phantom braking", and they say it is "normal". The Traffic-Aware Cruise Control cannot be disabled to create a normal manual cruise control. ... ening, but they dismissed it. Two weeks later, that very scenario happened, thankfully not ending in tragedy. I was driving at 65 mph on a wide, two lane paved highway (near Dove Creek, CO). A car going in the opposite direction was stopped on the shoulder on the other side of the highway. A large semi truck, also going in the opposite direction, pulled into my lane to pass the parked car on the side of the road. I saw what was happening, let off the accelerator, and steered over onto the paved shoulder (wide shoulder) to avoid the oncoming truck. My car's Traffic-Aware Cruise Control, using the car's cameras, interpreted the situation as an apparent collision danger and automatically braked hard. In this situation there was a large pickup doing what most pickup drivers do.... tailgating close behind me to get me to drive faster. Neither the driver of the pickup, nor me, were expecting my car to brake hard, as we had all assessed the situation correctly as not being dangerous. I responded as quickly as I could by pushing on the accelerator to cancel the cruise control, but the pickup almost rear ended me. At that speed, it could easily have turned into a fatal accident. Tesla says I can't disable the cameras, so I just don't use the cruise control now. I was told you can disable the "traffic-aware" part of cruise control on older model Teslas, but not 2023 and newer. Often the phantom braking occurs with no apparent reason (although the car's cameras and computer would probably disagree). Furthermore, at around 35 mph, the engine suddenly revved to over 3000 rpm, causing the vehicle to accelerate without any input from me. This acceleration occurred even though my foot was not on the gas pedal, making the car difficult to control and putting me at risk of colliding with other vehicles or objects. The unpredictability of these incidents is deeply alarming and could lead to serious accidents if not addressed promptly. I purchased this vehicle in December 2023 and have maintained it according to the manufacturer's recommendations. However, when I inquired about the timing belt at the dealership, I was assured that it had passed inspection. Despite this, the recent malfunctions suggest a more serious underlying issue that needs immediate attention. Crucially, there were no warning lights, messages, or other indications of a problem prior to these incidents, underscoring the sudden and unexpected nature of the issue.
