The mechanic then, pushed the vehicle inside the garage and put it up on a lift and diagnosed it and then told my parents that the brake lines had blown and that it was unusual and that this was a manufacture problem and Land Rover needed to be contacted or for us to go online under this website and file a complaint. Vehicle is equipped with Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist which includes reverse automatic braking. Vehicle was reversing towards a parked vehicle on the street and the RAB feature failed to apply the brakes and the vehicle collided with the parked vehicle. I am extremely disappointed that the safety system in this car failed to work as advertised/expected resulting in damages to both cars.

The contact that she later felt pain all over the body and was taken to the hospital, where she was informed that she had sustained a broken sternum, bruises, and pain all over the body. The insurance company towed the vehicle to a tow lot, where it was totaled. The dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and sent a field engineer who retrieved the EDR from the vehicle. The manufacturer later informed the contact that the information retrieved from the EDR indicated that there was no vehicle malfunction and that the air bags had not deployed because the impact was not significant. I was able avoid six lanes of traffic in the direction of travel without hitting another vehicle before hitting the should barrier. The vehicle felt like there was no ABS (Antilock Braking System) and no traction control. It felt like the vehicle locked all four wheels (like I had placed the vehicle in park). In addition, I had a service scheduled at the end of May 2024 (scheduled in January 2024) for issues with the rain sensor(s). I do not know if these sensor(s) comes into play. It is my belief that there should be a safety warning when using High Regeneration mode and the vehicle should automatically switch back to Low Regeneration mode with each new startup. I have noticed this feature in other electric cars (Audi/BMW) and have begun to understand why these vehicles perform this function. When it failed in March, even though it registered a code both on my dash and in my Ford Pass App, the dealership said they could not reproduce the problem therefore, there was nothing they could fix. I am scared to get behind the wheel of this car. I also do not want to sell it to anyone else for fear they will have the same problem. Cars don't just lose power while driving 75 mph. It is dangerous and a definite safety concern. It is not like I am driving a pinto. This was a brand new car, is fully paid for, has clean maintenance records, and is an expensive vehicle. It has been well taken care of and should not have power failure four times at only 4 years old. It is terrifying to be driving at high speed and lose power. ... able to determine cause. 2) each time the "transmission" error occurred the GM car went into what they call the "limp" mode. The car immediately loses speed control and drifts to about 35 mph until you have control of the accelerator. I was on an interstate going +70 mph to pass a semi and immediately after passing the car went into Limp Mode, the semi nearly rear ended me and then passed me blowing his horn and cursing me. GM could certainly correct this latter issue by creating a warning on the screen that gives the driver ample time to pull over and address the problem as they do when DEF fluid (this was a diesel) is low and will give warning to add DEF or reduce speed after so many additional miles are driven. The former issue needs to be addressed immediately too, I've noted 4 other drivers on social media that had similar fires. My catalytic converter failed just under 4 years after getting the SC176 recall done in July 2020. I believe it's possible there was a step missed in the replacement of my catalytic converter related to the recall, specifically the Catalytic Overheating Protection Engine Control Unit logic that may have caused the converter to fail. Although there were no safety issues that happened, after reading the recall and what can happen as a result of the catalytic converter failing, I am concerned for my safety if I drive it any longer in that condition. The problem has been diagnosed by my local Kia dealership on Friday 4/19/24 and that is where the car is presently. I have attached the inspection report and the cost to fix it. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other the Kia dealership. There was a ticking sound when I accelerated that wasn't there before on 4/3. The service engine light came on Thursday 4/4 when I was getting my routine oil changed. I changed the PCV valve and the light went off until approximately 4/17 and then I called the dealership to schedule bringing it in for the diagnosis which was 4/19. Vehicle was in cruise control driving along the highway at-speed when the engine suddenly cut out and cruise control stopped maintaining speed. Pressing the accelerator did nothing, but the brakes still worked. I pulled over onto the shoulder and came to a stop, at which point the vehicle put itself into park and engaged the parking brake. Several warning and advisory messages appeared on the screen advising me not to drive the vehicle, and almost all of the warning lights on the dash lit up. The electronics continued functioning for a time, but after a short while (less than 2 hours) they died as well. This included the locks, mileage indicator, windows, hazard lights, and gear shift—the vehicle could not be put into neutral. The vehicle was loaded onto a flatbed tow truck and taken to a dealership. Service invoice is attached. To summarize, it appears that a failure in the heat exchanger caused engine to cut out. Parking brake can then be removed and vehicle put back into drive, however all drive mode selection is disabled and again there is no response to throttle inputs - truck will accelerate on its own up to above 30 mph (do not know top speed as all areas this occurred were 30mph or less, had to ride brakes to maintain speed limit as vehicle was attempting an uncontrolled/uncommanded acceleration). This has happened 3 times, and first occurrence happened after recalls 23E07, 23E09, and 23C41 were completed. Any attempts to clear faults or exit this limp mode condition fail unless the vehicle is turned off and allowed to sit for 5-10 minutes, at which point faults still remain in system however vehicle is no longer in limp mode with functionality now restored to previously disabled systems. While driving, the "service electronic brakes " and traction control light will come on periodically, then go away. The issue is random and not consistent or easy to predict. If the cruise control is active, the cruise control will disengage and the truck will start to slow down. The brakes seem to work the same even if the light is on or off.

Then, after the short delay the engine feels like it is trying to catch up to where it should be based on the amount you've already depressed the pedal, and the van starts so fast the tires are peeling out. Our Odyssey has done this for several years. Its 100% a transmission software problem occuring when the car starts rolling from a stop and is "between" 1st and 2nd gear in an almost "neutral" state to prevent engine braking when throttle is not being applied, which would make for a not so smooth driving experience. However, this transmission obviously has really poor response times moving between these "in gear" and "neutral" states, and thus, we get the hesitation everyone has described when throttle is reapplied. The 1st gear in this transmission is EXTREMELY short. Fun fact, if you switch from automatic to standard shift mode(S) and use the shift paddles to force it to start in either 1st or 2nd gear, it's literally impossible to replicate the hesitation issue whether you're in ECON mode or not. By putting it standard shift mode, you take the TCU programming that was implemented to make the overall operation of the transmission feel more smooth, completely out of the equation so that you're fully in a particular gear, no matter what your throttle position is. The 9-speed transmission in these vehicles was KNOWN to shift extremely rough between gears; this is dangerous. The dealership was insisting on a diagnosis but I could not afford it out of pocket and Ford agreed that regardless of what the diagnosis said, parts for the low oil engine pressure are not available and could not be expedited because my vehicle doesn’t run. They said my car could only sit for two weeks at the dealership since it is not actively seeking parts. They are looking for me to pay out-of-pocket until the program becomes available when the second part of the issue for recall is noticed. Ford issued a recall but said parts wouldn’t be available until approximately August/24 or possibly later. Ford has not offered me any solution to this matter and they are not taking accountability for putting a defective product on the road. I was able to pull over on the shoulder, but there was a close call with a semi bearing down. I had my car towed to a repair shop, where they told me the water jacket had cracked and the overheating caused a blown head gasket. This was r
