I was driving merging onto the freeway and my sunroof completely shattered, no car was in front of me so, nor was I driving under a bridge, it just completely shattered. Looking as if someone grabbed a hammer or punched it, I know a rock wouldn’t shatter it, maybe crack but no it shattered. The glass looks like it lifted too , not caved in , so almost as if there was too much pressure as well.
... Have seen similar cases , not sure if any have reported but yes I have seen similar issues occurring. Thankfully I had my headliner closed , so the glass fell on there I had to pull over and figure it out, I did not touch the glass at all, as I’m currently having my Honda Dealership look at it. Just hope it doesn’t happen to othersRead more

I own a 2019 Jaguar I-PACE that is currently subject to a battery-related safety recall issued by the manufacturer. The defect involves the high-voltage battery system, which poses a potential fire risk and renders the vehicle unsafe to operate. Due to this recall, I have been advised that the vehicle is not safe to drive and should not be used. As a result, the vehicle is effectively unusable.
... This creates a safety concern because the battery defect presents a risk of thermal events, including fire, even when the vehicle is parked. The issue has been acknowledged by Jaguar Land Rover through the official recall. The vehicle has not been repaired because a complete and adequate remedy has not been made available. Jaguar Land Rover has inspected and reviewed the situation and has offered a buyback; however, the proposed resolution would leave me with approximately $10,000 in out-of-pocket financial loss despite the defect being manufacturer-related. There were no prior warning indicators that would have allowed me to prevent this issue. The problem became known upon notification of the recall. This situation has resulted in ongoing financial harm, as I am required to continue making payments on a vehicle that cannot be safely operated due to a manufacturer defect. The defective component (high-voltage battery system) is available for inspection upon requestRead more

I keep getting check engine lights and they have repaired serval of the items and I did get a letter in the mail saying the battery would now have a lifetime warranty if it threw a certain code and I had two codes come up and some people told me to replace my 12v battery and it would probably clear up. so reset the codes and put new battery in and ran fine for a week or so (I don't drive much) the

I will be driving along and a "check trailer lights" message comes on - when that happens, I know I have no trailer lights because the Jeep has shut them down. I am reporting a deliberate misrepresentation of vehicle status regarding Recall 292. On April 9, 2026, I brought my vehicle to Bud Clary Auburn Hyundai, for recall services, a safety concern with the 3rd row seat. I was told recall 292 had no remedy. I did not feel comfortable putting my kids back there knowing the airbags are recalled. It was officially grounded due to the side curtain airbag sa
... fety defect. The dealership has generated a Repair Order (RO) that falsely claims I departed in the vehicle on that same day. This is a material misrepresentation of fact. The vehicle was not released to me; it remained grounded and in the dealership's physical possession because it was deemed unsafe to drive. Evidence of Falsification: The dealership's claim that I left in the vehicle is physically impossible and contradicts their own actions. I have a written email from the Service Manager acknowledging that a dealership employee personally drove me home on April 9th because the vehicle was grounded. Motivation and Impact: This falsification appears to be a bad-faith attempt to manipulate the "days out of service" count required for eligibility under the Washington State Lemon Law. By documenting a departure that never occurred, the dealer is attempting to "stop the clock" on a safety-related grounding. Reporting inaccurate possession data on a vehicle under a federal safety recall compromises the integrity of the NHTSA’s recall tracking system.Read more

While driving this car on April 4, 2026 at around 6PM, I experienced the distinct smell of gasoline. I had driven for about 5 minutes on our way to a local restaurant that is approximately an 8 minute drive from our residence. My wife said that she had just filled the gas tank that afternoon. After arriving at the restaurant, I checked the gas cap to ensure it was tightly sealed. I also checke
... d to ensure no fuel was leaking from the car. After finishing dinner, we I drove the car back to my residence and once again, 5 minutes into the drive, I smelled gasoline. After we arrived home, I check the vehicle exterior for leaks and found no liquids under the car. The following day, April 5, 2026 at approximately 1115 AM, having once again found no liquids or gasoline under my car, I drove the car to my local repair shop; an 8 minute drive. About 5 minutes into the drive, I smelled gasoline again. I parked the car at the repair shop, but while adjusting the parking to fit better between the painted lines, I saw and heard a large puff of smoke from the hood area. I immediately put the car into Park, shut off the engine and ran from the car. After exiting, I saw that the car ignited with visible fire under the engine compartment. I called 911 to request fire department help. No damage to any structures or other cars occurred. Q1 Above: No the car is totaled and unavailable for inspection as far as I know. Q2 Above: I had to run from a burning car. Q3 Above: No. Q4 Above: Yes, the car was inspected by my insurance company, USAA. A software update (version 5.0.5) was complete on my 2024 Volvo XC90 at the end of March. The software was marketed in emails to have an enhanced infotainment display to support a safer experience. Since the upgrade, I have experienced the opposite of enhanced safety. My infotainment screen and dash displays randomly go black and it restarts itself several times a day while driving. In addition
... to that, the blinkers malfunction when this happens. The most important safety issue is navigation outage on the displays. The inability to rely on the Google maps navigation within Volvo, or within CarPlay, results in my having to use my phone to input and view directions, taking my eyes off the road. It also disables to cameras when I need them. On 3/31 I emailed my sales rep asking if he'd heard of others having this complaint, he did not appear to be aware and asked me to make an appt with service center. I brought the car to Volvo on 4/2 where the service check-in employees did mention they were seeing many cars coming in with the same concerns. The technician was not able to confirm the issue but said they would contact Corporate and let me know of a response, which was 15 days ago. According to online searches, multiple other Volvo drivers are experiencing the same. Since we have become so dependent on the driver assistance features, and this issue is now occurring, I have become a nervous driver in a brand of car that is marketed as one of the safest vehicles in the world. I get worried that my BLISS or lane assistance or other driver assisted features will malfunction as well. No notifications from Volvo have been received thus far. I have not contacted the Corporate offices of Volvo yet. Please take this safety issue seriously.Read more

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026 I was looking for something in my rear seat and noticed the seat was damp. I couldn't figure out the cause so I goggled it and found out that Toyota had a limited service campaign called LSC21TD03 on my 2017 Tacoma because of the third brake light having a gasket issue causing water to enter the vehicle. I called a local Toyota dealer and was told that the fix for my v
... ehicle had expired in 2025. This water intrusion from the high third brake light can cause mold, interior damage, or electrical issues. This is an issue that Toyota previously acknowledged but has now stopped covering it. I called Toyota Corporate and was again told yes the repair fix was expired. I asked why wasn't I notified and was told that Toyota sent out letters. I told the representative that I never received a letter and was told the mailing was done by an outside company. I asked what could Toyota do to help me and was told to go back to the dealer and maybe they "would give me a discount or reduced price on the fix". The dealer offered nothing. Upon further research I found that several Toyota Tacoma owners state they were not aware of the service campaign and ended up changing the light themselves or paying out of pocket to have it repaired. I feel that this is an issue that Toyota is aware of and they should take care of it. This should have been a recall issue rather than just a service campaign that the public was not fully aware of. I still don't know the extent of damage to my vehicle because the dealer gave me a quote of $690 to repair. I questioned why so much to change a light and gasket and was told they have to take the panels down and clean the vehicle to make sure no mold was there. The quote was given without even examining the vehicle. I'm asking you to please look into this situation.Read more

There is a recall for this vehicle for a loose inverter bolt. NHTSA recall No. 25V-869. The inverter bolt can become loose leading to a loss of drive power or fire while vehicle is on which can cause an accident, injury, or loss of life/property if the above mentioned occur while operating the vehicle. Information given by Toyota Brand Engagement Center has stated the remedy was supposed to have
... been available in February 2026. When follow up calls were made after February passed with no recall update, Toyota stated that the remedy should be available by the end of the 1st quarter. When the first quarter passed with still no update regarding the recall, another follow up call was made to Toyota with no updates available and no idea when an update could occur or when a remedy could possibly become available. They have failed to provide an update to the recall and when its potential remedy will be available in a timely manner allowing the continued use of these vehicles, knowing the potential for sudden loss of drive power could lead to accidents with the potential for catastrophic outcomes such as loss of life. This delay in remedy seems unacceptable and reckless at minimum.Read more

2021 CPO Colorado, bought used with 27,000 miles. KEY STUCK IN IGNITION. After 9 months of occasional use the key is, more times than not, getting stuck in the ignition when the truck is turned off. You cannot leave it this way because some systems are still energized. You have to repeatedly put it in and out of park till the key comes out. An associated problem is lock/unlock. The fob and switch
... es will not operate the lock unlock function. It is suspected the park problem makes the vehicle think the vehicle is being operated. It will also not let the remote start function work either. The dealer cleared a code and the problem is temporarily solved. They will not cover it under CPO because they cannot duplicate the problem despite the lock unlock not working at their facility. They ordered a new Gear Shift Mechanism for $800 and I am waiting for it to come in. It has been a few weeks of waiting thus far. It is theoretically possible to have the key get stuck and the doors staying locked thereby trapping all the occupants in the truck. I now carry the spare key if I must use the truck. I can turn the truck back on, lower the window, turn the key till it gets stuck, unlock the door by leaning out the window and then escaping but all the other occupants are still stuck inside till you can get the key out.Read more

I am submitting this as a formal complaint regarding an ongoing and unresolved safety issue with my 2018 Nissan Maxima (VIN: [XXX] ). Despite multiple attempts to have this issue diagnosed and repaired, the problem continues without resolution. The issue occurs after driving for approximately 30 minutes. The vehicle suddenly goes into limp mode, the gas pedal becomes unresponsive, and the RPMs be
... gin to drop regardless of speed. After about five minutes, the vehicle slowly regains power. This creates an extremely dangerous situation, particularly while driving in traffic or on highways, as it puts my safety and the safety of others at risk. I have taken my vehicle to multiple transmission shops, Nissan dealerships, independent mechanics, and mobile diagnostic services. I am consistently being told that nothing is wrong and that no repairs can be performed because the vehicle will not produce a diagnostic code. Per a factory recall — NTSB has ordered the following recall; Manufacturer Recall Number D027 NHTSA Recall Number 25V-514 Recall Status Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available Summary A concern has been identified on certain 2014 and all 2015 to 2017 ModelYear Range Rover (L405) and Range Rover Sport (L494) vehicles where thefront suspension upper knuckle joint could develop a crack. In extr
... emecases this may lead to detachment of the upper suspension arm. Safety Risk In extreme cases where a crack in the front suspension knuckle has developed, this may lead to detachment of the upper suspension arm, which under extreme avoidance maneuver use conditions may compromise the vehicle's controllability and increase the risk of a crash. This has been identified by independent mechanics as well, as a SEVERE safety concern. When this vehicle was taken to Hennessy Land Rover of north atlanta; they advised me that “they didn’t have parts for the recall”. Although they explained to me if I paid out of pocket for the work they had the parts to do the task. Service advisor is Peter Alvarez. SO THEY DON’T HAVE THE PARTS FOR AN NTSB RECALL? UNLESS I HAVE $6000/$7000 For a recall with a “SEVERE SAFETY RISK”? THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. THESE PEOPLE SELL $120,000 TRUCKS AND THEN REFUSE TO UNDERTAKE GOVERNMENT MANDATED RECALLS. THEIR EXCUSE IS “WE HAVE THE PARTS BUT ONLY IF YOU BUY THEM”. This is totally unacceptable. I have a wife and a small child who ride in this SUV and have owned the car for 7 of its 9 years on the road. Hello, I am reporting a safety issue with the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system on my 2023 Tesla Model Y. The vehicle has been taken in for service four separate times for this issue. During these visits, Tesla service technicians were able to reproduce and confirm the problem. I have been explicitly advised in writing by Tesla service not to use the Full Self-Driving system due to safety concerns a
... nd to use standard AutoSteer instead. While FSD is engaged, the vehicle exhibits dangerous and unpredictable behavior, including: Crossing over double yellow lines into opposing traffic, Driving significantly below the speed limit (e.g., ~4 mph in a 25 mph zone), Stopping in the roadway without any traffic or obstructions, Swerving within the lane while attempting to maintain position, Hesitation during turns, stop signs and at intersections. Tesla has attempted multiple repairs, including replacing steering-related components and multiple cameras across separate service visits. These repairs did not resolve the issue. At my last service visit Tesla has since indicated that the problem is likely software or firmware-related and that there is currently no available fix, with a recommendation to wait for a future update of an unknown timeline. If their statement is correct, this issue should be affecting every vehicle out there on the same software. At this time, I have been advised not to use a system that controls steering, braking, and acceleration due to safety concerns, and no timeline or resolution has been provided. I am submitting this complaint because the system behavior presents a potential safety risk to myself, passengers, and other drivers, and the manufacturer has not provided a current fix despite multiple confirmed service visits. I am attaching my last service invoice only in regards to this matter where they indicated to not use FSD, but I can provide other documentation showing the replacement of cameras and steering parts as well as videos if needed.Read more

The vehicle infotainment system including the touchscreen display and Connectivity Master Unit malfunctioned. The vehicle and components are available for inspection upon request. While the vehicle was being driven, the system initiated actions withou

These events caused driver distraction and a startle effect while the vehicle was in motion, increasing safety risk to vehicle occupants and others on the road. The issue is ongoing intermittent and reproducible during normal driving conditions. The vehicle was presented to an authorized dealer multiple times. A software update was performed in an attempt to correct the issue, but the condition continued. The dealer advised that replacement of infotainment components such as the CMU or display may be required. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized dealer on multiple service visits. The issue was also reviewed by the manufacturer customer experience case management team which acknowledged understanding of the malfunction but declined repair assistance. No police or insurance inspections have occurred. No warning lights or messages appear before the malfunction. Symptoms occur without warning and include random touchscreen activation, system freezing or rebooting, unintended phone dialing, and unexpected loud audio. The issue began after purchase and has continued despite repair attempts. Similar infotainment malfunctions including ghost touch behavior, screen freezing or rebooting while driving, unintended audio behavior, and dialing issues have been documented in manufacturer service bulletins affecting comparable vehicles, indicating this issue is not isolated.Read more

I received a flyer that my Cadillac was included in the urgent Rear Toe Link Safety Recall, so I took it to the local Cadillac dealership in Ridgeland, MS. Not long afterwards, I was told that they were able to locate the part and my car could be serviced today for the Rear Toe Link safety recall. The shuttle took me home a while later and once I received a call back from the dealership that my car was ready for pick up, I returned back to the dealership. I then received my key and paperwork at the checkout counter and my car was driven back to me. The car was still on so I drove it back home, parked in my garage and turned it off. After 30 minutes, I started my vehicle and the same warning lights and message to Service the StabiliTrak, as well as the chiming were still on my dashboard as if the part was never replaced. When I spoke with the dealership service representative and the service manager later on, both men told me that the message warnings on my car and on the flyer about the Rear Toe Link Safety Recall had nothing to do with the Rear Toe Link Safety Recall. They said that I would have to pay a diagnostic fee to determine the cause for the message/chimes which could be other things. None of this information was on my checkout paperwork or discussed with me when I picked up my car that same day. At this point, I don't trust the information told to me over the phone and I don't trust if I pay for a diagnostic test, they would be honest to say that it was because of the safety recall. The affected component appears to be the rear seat / seat track recall system. I took my Toyota vehicle to the dealership / repair center in approximately October 2025 for recall-related repair, and the vehicle was then kept there for months. During that time, I was deprived of the use of the vehicle while continuing to make lease payments. I repeatedly contacted the repair center for updates but
... was not provided a clear repair completion date. Toyota and the dealership later claimed that the recall had been repaired only after the stated 60-day buyback review period had expired, yet NHTSA’s VIN lookup still showed the same recall as unrepaired for my vehicle. No credible current documentation was provided showing the exact recall repair completion date or the work performed. Under these circumstances, I am not comfortable accepting return of the vehicle. My children ride in the rear seat, and because this recall involves the seat / seat track area, I cannot reasonably be expected to trust the vehicle without clear proof that the recall repair was properly completed. I have also experienced a serious accident in the past, which makes this issue even more concerning to me. At this point, I have lost confidence in Toyota’s handling of this matter. I am seeking repurchase of the vehicle and fair final resolution.Read more

The vehicle experienced a failure of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) associated with the 4WD system. Prior to the failure, the 4WD warning light illuminated on the dashboard, indicating a malfunction within the drivetrain. The condition progressed and was diagnosed as an internal PTU failure. The issue was confirmed by Jacksonville Chrysler Jeep Dodge, which determined that the PTU had failed inter
... nally and required full replacement. This failure could have affected the vehicle’s ability to properly transfer power to all four wheels, increasing the risk of loss of traction or control, particularly during wet or slippery road conditions. A sudden loss or reduction of 4WD capability presents a potential safety concern. The problem was reproduced and confirmed by the dealership during inspection. The PTU was replaced due to the internal failure. It is UNKNOWN if the failed component is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle was not inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives (UNKNOWN). The 4WD warning light appeared prior to the failure, indicating a developing issue before the component ultimately failed. Based on the nature of the failure and the need for full replacement of the PTU, this appears to be a significant drivetrain defect rather than normal wear. Similar failures may be occurring in other vehicles with the same system, which could indicate a broader issue affecting vehicle safety.Read more

Driving 70 mph on a cloudy 73° day around 6:30 pm no cars immediately around me on I45. I heard a loud gunshot to the point I ducked in my car. Immediately pulled over walked around the car. My Sunroof exploded upwards. Took to Longo Toyota on Monday at 7am. Upon arrival they thought it would be covered under warranty. They brought in a specialist to evaluate and they can’t prove it but so
... mething must have hit it and they are denying warranty. The glass moved upward and was shattered but intact upon initial inspection. Upon online review this is a known problem w Toyota but one that needs to be addressed in a bigger scale as this could have caused an accident just from the sound alone or if the sunroof cover had been open glass raining down on passengers and driver.Read more
