I was driving to work, when I got off the exit I stopped at Sheetz. When I got back in the car my brake pedal was stiff as a rock, and there was oil on the ground. A friend of mine does mechanic work so I called him and he said it sounds like the vacuum pump. I had the car towed to his garage, the tow costed me $400 which was very cheap considering where I was located. When I got it to the garage
... he confirmed that it was the vacuum pump and we removed several pieces of metal from inside the engine. I now have my car at the Chevy dealership in Chippewa PA. They told me to be $180 a diagnose it, well they just called me a little bit ago and said it's going to be another $900 to take everything apart and to truly diagnose it. I'm finding out now that GM has known about the failing vacuum pumps and they kept producing them anyways. I see there's a class action lawsuit taking place, and I am not very happy. I purchased a brand-new Chevrolet dually truck from Bomnin Chevrolet Dadeland in Miami, Florida. Since delivery, the vehicle has had serious unresolved defects and safety concerns. The truck has ongoing alignment issues that the dealership has been unable or unwilling to properly repair. The vehicle does not drive correctly and there are concerns regarding safe operation while hauling. In additi
... on, a major issue has now developed involving the rear passenger door. The rear door does not properly close and latch securely. This creates a serious safety concern because the door may open unexpectedly while driving. I brought these issues to the dealership under warranty, but the problems remain unresolved. I was also informed that the dealership could not properly perform the alignment on the dually truck. This vehicle was sold new and should not have these defects. I am filing this complaint due to concerns about vehicle safety, defective components, and inability to obtain proper warranty repairs.Read more

I am reporting a serious and repeated safety defect involving Hehr side windows installed on my 2018 Thor Palazzo 36.1 motorhome (VIN: [XXX] ). Multiple operable side windows on this RV have experienced adhesive bond failure between the scissor arm/operator mechanism and the vent glass pane. This has caused windows to partially detach and violently flap while driving at highway speeds. One rear b
... athroom window completely detached and flew off the RV during highway travel in 2022. Additional adhesive failures have continued occurring from 2023 through 2025 involving: - Kitchen window - Living room window - Dinette window - Rear bathroom window (including replacement assembly) In several incidents, I was forced to pull onto the highway shoulder to perform emergency temporary repairs using tape and adhesive to prevent windows from fully detaching from the vehicle. In December 2025, while driving near [XXX] , the rear bathroom vent window again separated from the operator arm while traveling at highway speed despite prior repair work. The window was violently flapping in the wind and appeared at risk of completely detaching from the RV. This defect creates a serious road hazard because detached glass/window components could strike nearby vehicles or motorists. I am aware of prior Hehr/Lippert recalls involving adhesive-related window failures, but I have not found a recall covering this specific failure point involving separation between the operator arm and vent glass. The defect appears widespread across multiple windows on the RV and has persisted despite repeated repair attempts. I believe this issue warrants investigation and possible expansion of existing Hehr/Lippert window recalls. My vehicle has been in the shop over 6 times due to the malfunctioning of the EMERGENCY BREAKING SYSTEM. Less then 2.5wks after I purchased this vehicle, I started experiencing my E brake randomly engaging while driving it down the road. I called the dealership. They suggested I bring it to a jeep dealer. I’ve brought it to a jeep dealer where it’s been several times since I purchased the vehi
... cle to have this issue looked at, but due to the fact of no codes popping when it gets brought in there’s nothing that they can do. I reported it also with the jeep company to which my case/complaint was closed out, even though the problem has not been fixed the most severe and most scary time that my emergency brake system came on was when I was driving at 65 miles an hour at 2:30 in the morning leaving work with a semi truck behind me and my emergency brakes randomly engaged on the freeway bringing me to a dead stop. They replaced the emergency breaking module and it still does it however, now my vehicle no matter what I do every time I put the vehicle even into park, my emergency brake kicks in. I’ve also looked up online and seeing that I’m not the only one that has experienced this that several other jeep owners have also experienced this typically found from the years of 2014 to 2020 Jeep Cherokee I own a 2020 Jeep Cherokee Limited my vehicle had 30,000 or so miles on it when I purchased this car this car has been a death trap ever since. I can’t even feel comfortable putting my children, my mother or even my animals into this car let alone myself. I do fear that one day this vehicle is going to kill me because that night with that semi behind me he could’ve easily rear-ended my vehicle and I’m sure he was doing 75 miles an hour and then a vehicle not even a half a mile in front of them randomly stops without any warning how that happened my children would not have a mother.Read more

Travelling on a highway with 70 MPH posted speed limit, the vehicle dashboard signaled the check engine light and a variety of warnings that "power reduction measure" was enabled and to "service brake assist." At the next available exit, I was able to exit from the highway and go to a gas station, where upon pulling next to a pump the brake pedal became extremely hard and nonresponsive, resulting
... in poor braking, nearly striking the car in front of me, even at a very low speed. Upon a quick internet search, it appeared that other vehicles were having the same issue, and it was recommended not to drive, as well as information referring to an ongoing class action lawsuit. A tow was called and brought to the nearest Chevrolet service center (Nels Gunderson Chevrolet), where they confirmed the brake booster vacuum pump failed (exploded) and sent shrapnel into the camshaft, noting that both would need to be replaced, which is the exact same repair that other vehicles similar to this one are having or have had.Read more

• Component/system that failed: A/C compressor (shaft seal leak confirmed by Mt. Kisco Honda dealer diagnosis). The vehicle is available for inspection. • Safety risk: No direct crash risk, but loss of A/C in hot weather (NY summers) reduces driver comfort and can cause fatigue or window fogging in certain conditions (e.g., defrost mode struggles when compressor doesn’t engage). No warning
... lamps or messages appeared. • Problem reproduced/confirmed: Yes — intermittent since the vehicle was new (~2 years). It was noticeable during summer months (works some days, fails others). In March 2026 it became consistent hot air. Dealer performed diagnostic (evacuate/recharge) and confirmed compressor leak. They recommend full compressor replacement (~$1,580). • Inspections: Inspected and diagnosed by Mt. Kisco Honda (Service Advisor [XXX] ). No police, insurance, or other third-party inspections. • Prior symptoms: Intermittent A/C failure (cold some days, warm/hot others, recirculate button resets) since purchase. Progressively worsened. No other warning lights or symptoms. Additional Details: This is a known issue on 2019–2025 Honda Passports, Pilots, and Ridgelines with the 3.5L V6 and R-1234yf refrigerant (oil causes premature shaft seal wear). Honda issued TSB 23-050 and 10-year warranty extensions for the identical problem on CR-V and Civic models. I am filing a complaint regarding Toyota’s handling of a known paint defect affecting my 2014 Toyota RAV4 Limited in Blizzard Pearl paint. Over the past several years, the paint on my vehicle has progressively peeled and deteriorated. Approximately 50% of the vehicle’s paint is now damaged. This issue is clearly consistent with Toyota’s known Blizzard Pearl paint defect program. However, I

In addition, I regularly serviced my vehicle at authorized Toyota dealerships during the years the program was active, yet no dealership or Toyota representative informed me that my vehicle qualified for repair coverage. I only recently learned about the existence of this program after visiting a Toyota dealership regarding another issue. At that time, I was told the program had already expired in April 2024 and that Toyota would no longer provide assistance. I believe this is unfair because: - Toyota acknowledged this as a manufacturing-related defect. - I was never properly notified. - Toyota dealerships had multiple opportunities to inform me during regular service visits. - The defect became progressively worse over time. I am requesting that Toyota reconsider my case and provide goodwill assistance or repair coverage despite the expiration date, due to the lack of notification and the severity of the defect. Hello, I am formally documenting a serious safety incident involving my recently purchased 2026 Dodge Ram 3500 Tradesman 6.7L dually, purchased from Towbin Dodge in [XXX] , on May 9, 2026. On May 13, 2026—only five days after purchase—we were operating the truck for our dumpster business while towing a GN trailer loaded with approximately 5 tons. We were traveling down Mount Charleston after
... a pickup when a critical brake failure occurred. While descending the mountain grade, the truck’s braking system failed to respond. A warning light appeared on the dashboard indicating an issue with the electric brake system. We had tow/haul mode and exhaust braking engaged, but neither system functioned properly. When my father pressed the brake pedal, the vehicle did not slow down. With a steep descent ahead and no effective braking response, my father was forced to steer the vehicle off the road into a ditch to avoid a direct impact with the mountain, which could have resulted in a fatal collision. After stopping, we noticed signs of extreme brake overheating, and the system appeared to be close to catching fire. I have video and other documentation of the incident. The vehicle is currently in the dealer’s possession. This is a major safety failure occurring within days of purchase, and I am requesting a full investigation into the brake system and all related components, including any recalls, defects, or electronic braking malfunctions. I do not want the truck anymore! Given the severity and risk to life involved, I am requesting immediate action and a full resolution regarding this vehicle. I had been hearing a ticking or clicking sound from the engine. When I brought it to a Honda dealership that I had used about a year ago for the 100,000 mile maintenance, I was told that the truck had a rod bearing failure and that I needed a new engine. They bring it in and claim in their exact words in the paperwork, “Found Doors to chime when an “abstruction” was present in the doorway and vehicle doors to stop when detecting an object. The brakes make a squealing noise when backing up and this has been reported on many 2025 enclaves. There is also a repeated clicking noise after turning the vehicle off.

The main instrument panel on numerous occasions remains locked on “Experience Drive Connect”, usually when starting the vehicles, but occasionally when the vehicle is being driven. Sometimes when we can turn off the car and restart, the screen will begin normal functions. Yesterday the screen remained locked after 5 shut-downs and we had to drive with a locked screen. This causes the loss o
... f some critical functions. The fact that there remains no remedy places drivers at greater risk and should not be acceptable to the FTC nor affected Toyota drivers. We should not have to trade a higher end 2024 vehicle with 10K miles for another brand to remedy this issue. Additionally, the vehicle may lose trade value with a pending recall that prevents dealers from certifying the auto.Read more

I am writing to escalate a safety and reimbursement concern regarding my 2018 Jeep Cherokee, VIN [Your VIN], which is subject to recall 01C / 25V‑011 (Power Transfer Unit Snap Ring Defect). Before the recall remedy was available, my vehicle experienced a sudden loss of drive power, grinding, and jerking, which led to a full transmission replacement. I was stranded on the side of an interstate ra
... mp as a result of this loss of drive power. The PTU was not replaced and remains original. I now intermittently receive a “4WD won’t work” alert 65-80% of vehicle starts. I attempted to schedule my vehicle for the recall repair and spoke in length with the Jeep dealership in [XXX] on 2/23/26. The dealership has informed me that PTU replacement parts are unavailable and could take months to arrive. If the dealership detects a concern during inspection, they will not allow me to keep the vehicle, yet they cannot provide a loaner. This leaves me without transportation for an indefinite period, despite the recall being an active safety concern. It is important to note that the PTU is directly connected to the transmission and transfers power to the rear wheels; a PTU failure can place stress on or impair the transmission, which can cause symptoms identical to sudden transmission failure. I request escalation to a senior case manager or Tier 2 Top Car Specialist, review of my prior repair for reimbursement, and documentation of the ongoing 4WD alerts to support safety and claim review. The Ford Escape 2017 experienced a transmission malfunction involving delayed shifting, sudden jerking during operation, and difficulty shifting gears properly. Unusual noises were also coming from the transmission, along with ongoing symptoms indicating a clear mechanical and technical defect. This defect placed the driver, passengers, and other motorists at risk, especially during acceleration
... or while merging onto highways, due to the vehicle’s delayed response and the possibility of sudden loss of control or unexpected stopping while driving. Prior to the complete failure, several warning signs and recurring symptoms appeared, including vehicle jerking during driving, delayed or rough shifting, abnormal transmission noises, and in some cases the illumination of the Check Engine warning light. These symptoms began gradually before the problem significantly worsened.Read more

"The vehicle suffered a critical failure of the shift interlock safety system. After parking in a driveway, the ignition key was able to be fully turned to the 'off' position and removed from the ignition cylinder, even though the transmission was not successfully secured in 'Park.' After the key was removed and I and went into the house the van rolled away. It traveled downhill, crashed through a
... fence, and collided with a residential structure, causing significant property damage to the house and vehicle. This failure could potentially cause serious injury or death and this was the first time that it had occurred and is exhibiting the same failure as described. Immediately following the collision, video evidence was recorded showing the key in hand while the dashboard indicators and shifter remained out of the 'Park' position. This indicates the safety mechanism designed to prevent key removal unless the vehicle is in 'Park' failed to operate, creating a life-safety rollaway hazard."Read more

The first code it threw was for the master air flow sensor then it started bogging out not going over 1RPM -throwing the code "P17F0 CVT Judder" and has left me in some really, really bad situations in traffic, and when it boggs down like that (no matter how many times I turn it off and restart it, even if the battery drains all the way out and I have to get a jump) I have to wait two hours after
... unhooking the battery and sit for an hour if not more before I can start it up and actually get down the rd. And it runs great like nothing was wrong it. But doesn't get far before doing it againRead more

The upper radiator hose on some huge percentage of these trucks fail (mine has failed at just over 35k miles). You can check the Colorado Chevy forum, youtube, etc., et al, and find plenty of instances where this has failed. As this is the cooling system, it can cause the engine to overheat and potentially ruin the engine. The flaw seems to be an engineering issue with the rubber seal they use (in
... stead of a high quality o-ring) to seal the upper hose to the radiator. Additionally, since this can cause engine failure it should be addressed immediately. Instead, my local Chevy dealer, since its not a recall item, said they could schedule a time next week for me to LEAVE the truck and then they would get to it in 7-10 days. This is extremely unfair to the consumer who depends on these vehicles. This should absolutely be a recall item. You can find 1000's of examples online and if you can pull GM repair data, I'm sure you'll find 1000's more.Read more
