We recently bought a used 2025 Subaru forester with 5000 miles on odometer from a dealer. Subsequently we are experiencing respiratory irritation. We question if the car had been in a flood or some other accident that compromised the a/c system. We wonder if the dealer concealed something or has not reported the problem. We suspect black mold may be in the a/c system.

The infotainment/radio system in this 2021 Jeep Renegade has been malfunctioning for nearly two years. The dealership repeatedly states that no replacement parts are available and no repair can currently be performed. The system intermittently fails, freezes, reboots, or goes blank. When this occurs, the rear backup camera becomes unavailable or nonfunctional, creating a significant safety concern
... while reversing. The failure also makes it impossible to use the vehicle’s navigation system and disrupts the vehicle’s communication features, including hands-free cellular/Bluetooth functions. This ongoing unresolved recall affects safe operation of the vehicle, driver visibility while backing up, and the usability and value of the vehicle. Despite repeated attempts to obtain repair service, the manufacturer/dealership has not provided a remedy due to lack of available parts for over two years.Read more

I was driving on the highway at 70 mph approximately with my young daughter in the backseat. All of a sudden, the front display on my Hyundai Ioniq 9 went completely black and said "no signal." They said nothing was wrong and that I should come back when it happens again. It was TERRIFYING having no signal and wondering if my car was going to stop in the middle of the highway. The dealer said that Hyundai would not do anything about it unless it was recreated even though I had pictures of it. What a horrible experience and I am terrified to drive the car now.Read more

I received a recall notice on 3/19/2026 which stated my 2023 Palisade failed to meet safety standards due to "ejection mitigation." I called my dealership again on 5/20/2026 and asked for any information, compensation, a buyback, or if anything was available to me and they said "we are in the same boat as you. We haven't been able to sell our stock for 4 months. You've only had your notice for 2 months but we've been dealing with this for 4. Some people have been trading their cars in but other than that, there's nothing we can do for you." They said to call Hyundai directly. I called Hyundai and was told there was no information, no remedy, no compensation for the loss of use, no loaner car, or any other options. The representative then said "unfortunately we also cannot escalate your case because there have been no fatalities yet." I'm filing this complaint because it has been over 60 days since I received notice that my vehicle is unsafe, which has resulted in the total loss of use for 3 seats and yet I am still making the full monthly payments on this vehicle to the dealership. I have had two safety issues with this vehicle where there were system failures that did not record DTC codes. And an additional failure that does not record codes and cannot be duplicated. After leasing the vehicle for seventeen months, and during repair for an unrelated non-safety issue, it was discovered that the steering wheel airbag had a loose connection. No warning appeared at any time on t
... he instrument panels. As well the one pedal function would switch into regular drive mode, as in a gas powered vehicle, randomly. After multiple tries and incidents the dealer service department has been unable to duplicate. Then on March 6 of this year I bought in the vehicle yet again for this one pedal failure, and was notified there was an existing recall. This software update was performed. On March 17, just 11 days after the update, while backing into my garage with the garage door going up the windshield wiper was clipped by the door, destroying both the wiper and shattering the back window. I have backed into my garage thousands of times and never had an issue. Why this happened on this date I do not know. What I do know is that the vehicle gave no warnings and did not break for the object. At the time my dogs were clipped into their seat belt harnesses in the center well. By a miracle no glass shattered beyond the back storage area and I was able to safely remove them. I checked after and all of the collision warning systems were listed as active, including automatic braking for rear collisions. I had the dealership run scans twice and all scans showed no DTC codes and all systems active. I can only assume that all prior updates have failed, and there is a substantial defect to the vehicles ability to communicate. I have a copy of the scan performed. The second scan was run on April 9 because the dealership failed to provide a printed copy of the first. I have that second scan. My vehicle fails to communicate or activate essential information, a safety hazard.Read more

The vehicle has experienced premature factory paint and clear coat delamination across the main roof panel structure. This is not cosmetic weathering; it is a latent factory application defect where the clear coat chemically failed to bond to the substrate. The resulting delamination has left raw structural metal exposed, leading to rapid substrate oxidation and structural degradation of the roof
... panel sheet metal. The advanced delamination and corrosion have directly compromised the sealing integrity of the roof-mounted GPS/emergency communication antenna and the structural integrity of the roof rack mounting tracks. Water intrusion through the compromised factory finish risks shorting out emergency telematics, causing electrical fires in the headliner, or causing a structural failure of aftermarket cargo crossbars at highway speeds, creating a severe road hazard for vehicles traveling behind me. This is a known, widespread manufacturing flaw originating from the Arlington Assembly Plant affecting 2015-2020 GM full-sized platforms, requiring a total structural strip and repaint to resolve. General Motors has issued no recall or remedy for this latent safety and structural defect.Read more

Complaint Regarding 2018 Honda HR-V AWD – Air Conditioning Failure, Odometer Malfunction, and Prior Fuel Pump Replacement. I am filing a complaint regarding my 2018 Honda HR-V AWD due to ongoing mechanical and electrical issues that appear to affect many Honda HR-V owners. The primary issue is the air conditioning system, which has not been functioning consistently. The A/C repeatedly fails to
... cool properly and intermittently stops working altogether. I am aware that many other Honda HR-V owners have reported similar air conditioning problems, and Honda has offered extended warranty coverage for certain Honda vehicles with A/C system defects. However, my vehicle has not been included in that extended coverage, despite experiencing the same recurring issues. In addition, the vehicle previously required a fuel pump replacement in 2021. I am concerned that this may indicate broader reliability and safety-related defects affecting this model. The vehicle is also experiencing mechanical and electrical problems involving the odometer/instrumentation system. The odometer has shown irregular behavior and appears to malfunction intermittently, raising concerns about the accuracy of vehicle information and overall reliability. I have been experiencing these issues for years without any resolution. I reached out to Honda Customer Service about these issues, but because my "VIN" is not included in the recall or extended warranty, I haven't been able to get much help. I believe these issues warrant investigation, particularly given the number of similar complaints from other Honda HR-V owners. I respectfully request that Honda be required to extend warranty coverage and corrective action to include affected 2018 Honda HR-V AWD vehicles like mine. Thank you for your attention to this matterRead more

I am submitting a safety complaint regarding the rear visibility system on my Tesla Cybertruck. The physical rear view mirror does not provide any usable visibility of the roadway behind the vehicle. The design of the rear window and cargo area blocks the view, which makes the mirror ineffective for its intended safety function. Because the physical mirror cannot be used, the driver must rely on
... the rear camera feed displayed on the center screen. This is the only way to see directly behind the vehicle during normal driving. However, the rear camera feed disappears every time the turn signal indicators are activated. When the indicators turn on, the screen automatically replaces the rear view with the side camera view. This removes all rear visibility at the exact moment when the driver needs full awareness for lane changes, merging, and turning. This behavior cannot be disabled or overridden. It is part of the default software design. As a result, the driver is left without any functional rear visibility method during critical maneuvers. This creates a clear safety risk and raises concerns regarding compliance with FMVSS 111, which requires reliable rear visibility. The loss of rear visibility during lane changes and turns increases the risk of collisions with vehicles approaching from behind. Since the physical mirror is unusable and the digital feed is removed by the software, the driver has no safe or compliant way to monitor rear traffic during these maneuvers. I request that NHTSA investigate this issue and require Tesla to provide a remedy. A potential remedy would include keeping the rear camera feed visible at all times unless the driver manually chooses to remove it, or adding a dedicated rear view camera feed that remains active during all driving conditions.Read more

Incident date: May 18, 2026
The vehicle experienced hesitation, delayed acceleration, and multiple warning lights while driving. The loss of power was severe enough that the driver became afraid to make left turns across traffic because the vehicle would not accelerate quickly or consistently when needed. This created a significant safety risk, as the driver could not reliably judge whether the vehicle would clear an interse
... ction before oncoming traffic. A diagnostic trouble code related to the turbocharger control system was retrieved during the first visit to the dealership. The vehicle was brought in for a recall inspection involving potential engine bearing wear and oil pressure issues, but the recall inspection was not performed on the first visit and was rescheduled. On the way to the recall appointment, additional warning lights illuminated and the vehicle again lost power. The dealership kept the vehicle and stated that further diagnostics were needed. Over several days, the dealership reported that diagnostics were being performed, but no diagnostic results, measurements, technician notes, or recall determination were provided. The manufacturer later confirmed that they had not received any diagnostic information from the dealership and could not proceed with the recall case. The dealership verbally stated that the turbocharger issue was “not related to the recall,” but no documentation was provided to support this. Instead, the dealership sent a cost‑sharing repair proposal without identifying the failed component, the cause of the failure, or whether the failure was related to the recall. Warning lamps and reduced performance first appeared on the initial date of symptoms and continued through the recall appointment. The recall process remains incomplete because the dealership has not provided the required diagnostic documentation.Read more

UNKNOWN. I have NOT had an incident. I own a 2024 Toyota Sequoia SUV that uses the same engine as the hundreds of thousands of Tundra trucks that Toyota has already recalled. They've recalled over 250,000 Tundras because they say "machining debris" may cause a problem that eventually destroys the engine's main bearing, resulting in loss of power. [XXX] My problem is, they are NOT recalling the
... hybrid models that use this exact same engine, to include both Tundras and Sequoias. It seems they do this because the hybrid model still MAY be able to safely exit the road if failure happens because the hybrid battery and motors can still move it. I am reporting a safety-related driver visibility concern involving a 2025 Honda Pilot. I also observed substantially similar behavior on a 2026 Honda CR-V loaner vehicle and another Honda Pilot provided by Koons Honda. The issue involves the front driver and passenger windows and their interaction with the outer window seals/belt moldings. During rainy, snowy, foggy, or wet conditions, lowering a
... nd then raising the windows leaves significant moisture, streaking, fog residue, or debris on the glass surface. Current image shows fog residue, however, the same results occurred with snow where visibility was impaired after cycling the front driver and passenger windows. The outer window seals do not adequately clear the windows during normal operation. This results in impaired visibility around and through the side view mirrors, especially during lane changes, merging, and monitoring adjacent lanes. The condition is repeatable and occurs during ordinary use. I documented video evidence showing: •the issue on my 2025 Honda Pilot, •another Honda Pilot, •and the same/similar issue on a separate 2026 Honda CR-V loaner vehicle from Koons Honda. I presented the evidence to dealership personnel. However, the service manager refused to document that side mirror visibility was impaired, reportedly because such wording would imply a safety condition. This concern may involve: •ineffective window seal/belt molding performance, •excessive water retention on side windows, •impaired driver visibility, •and a potential safety defect affecting multiple Honda vehicles. The issue can create unsafe driving conditions because drivers may be unable to clearly observe adjacent traffic through side mirrors after operating the windows in wet conditions. Furthermore, similar reports are found online with different newer models. The date below reflects today's interaction with the dealership, however, this is an ongoing issue since we received the vehicle last year.Read more
