I purchased a used 2021 Passport the end of May 2025. I have driven for decades and never felt anxiety until I drove this vehicle for a few months. I felt scared driving this vehicle, feeling uncertain when it would suddenly just brake. Eventually after a few months of driving, I got a reading that said CMBS problem on the screen. I scheduled an appointment with the dealer. The dealer suggested a near $3000 replacement for a camera (on a 2021 vehicle). At the appointment, I ultimately returned this vehicle to the dealer where I bought it and unfortunately lost out on thousands of dollars after having the vehicle about 6 months. I have always liked Honda, and have had 2 prior Hondas, but with this vehicle purchase, I felt the most unsafe I have ever felt in a vehicle, and moving forward will not feel comfortable purchasing Honda.Read more

The dealership said Ford was aware of the issue, but they couldn't replace because the part is not under any current warranty programs. Ford's manufacturer customer service made the same excuse. Asked for email confirming my case complaint.. they didn't send documentation (case # CXH-07394045-C3Y9M4) *Question 4 I called the manufacturer's customer service to review the incident with the dealership. They wouldn't cover the replacement because my vehicle had just exceeded the milage on their limited Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty..which is 36,000 or 3 years. My Bronco is only 2 years. I've never driven it off road and have been taking it to the dealership regularly for routine maintenance. The fender flare is an original factory part that should not have come apart while I was driving. Was surprised to see it fly off while driving, until i did a google search and found that this has happened to many other Bronco owners while driving. I've seen many owners post pics with the same exact part come off while driving. The noise was so loud and so sudden that it made me very upset and scared at what could have happened that luckily didn't - I could have easily been so startled to swerve into another lane, and if my 4 year old had been in the back, I am really scared to think of how traumatized he would be, how damaged his ears would be, and what else would have happened. On three occasions when I have started the truck, there is a deafening sound from the speaker system that sounds like a pop with glass shattering. Then it had a loud static sound that can't be silenced and the volume button does nothing. Rear climate control system fails to provide cooled air to the second and third rows during normal vehicle operation. Front vents produce cold air while rear vents blow warm to hot air despite temperature settings at minimum, high fan speed, and recirculation enabled. The condition has been present since vehicle delivery and has persisted despite three repair attempts by an authorized dealership.
... The problem has been reproducible under both driving and idle conditions. Independent measurements using a probe-based temperature instrument inserted into the vents confirm a significant difference between front and rear discharge temperatures. After approximately 25 minutes of driving in moderate weather (about 72°F ambient), front vents measured approximately 42–44°F while second and third row vents remained approximately 72–86°F. In warmer conditions, rear vent temperatures have exceeded 90°F. Adjusting the front climate control to a normal comfort setting causes rear temperatures to rise further even when rear controls remain set to maximum cooling. The vehicle is a three-row family SUV. The failure exposes rear passengers, including a toddler in a rear-facing car seat, to elevated temperatures during normal driving, particularly in hot and humid southern Louisiana conditions. Young toddlers are more vulnerable to heat exposure and cannot easily regulate internal body temperatures themselves, increasing safety concerns. The defect substantially limits safe and practical use of rear seating areas and remains unresolved despite repeated service attempts. No warning indicators are provided to the driver that rear cooling is inadequate. The condition reduces the vehicle’s ability to safely transport passengers in rear seating positions during hot weather. The vehicle manufacturer, Stellantis N.V., has been formally notified of the condition and is aware of the issue.Read more

... rol" warning, restricting my speed to around 40 miles per hour with low RPMs. I returned to Dewey Ram that same day and was informed the next day that I needed to replace the crankshaft position sensor tone wheel, which was quite expensive. I had assumed this issue was resolved during the previous recall, but the service department clarified that the recall only involved a software update and did not cover the tone wheel replacement. However, the repair description indicated that FCA US would conduct a voluntary safety recall to update the powertrain control module software or, in some cases, replace the tone wheel. Further investigation led me to Safety Recall W68 / NHTSA 20V-475 regarding the loss of crankshaft position, which I believe pertains to my truck based on its year, model, and circumstances. I shared this information with the dealership, but they stated they could not assist me since my VIN did not show any current recalls. I expressed my concern that the previous recall may not have been completed to the necessary standards to address the safety issue, but they advised me to contact Chrysler. ... o feel sick. I have taken the car to 3 Kia Dealerships. All of which have been extremely dishonest (have tons of proof) and say they cannot verify problem. I took it to an outside independent shop and they verified it instantly and wrote a very detailed invoice about the problem. They couldnt pin point where it was coming from though. The vehicle has only been inspected by the 3 Kia Dealerships and the independant shop Brake Busters I purchased the car in November of 2025 and had no problems until February 22nd 2026. They did not call but they took my vehicle to my employer and left it there and left the keys with the coworker. Call them back on Monday because now I had the auto start light on and still the traction light on. Explain to them that if it could have been part of the ABS module they had supposedly replaced. They tried to convince me that it did not. So needless to say I had to replace a vacuum pump which is in the process but as the gentleman that was going to repair that took a look at the ABS module which was old. No signs of anything being new or even any of the components being removed. No signs of it being touched. I googled the part number on the abs module which came up as a recall item. So the original part was still in my vehicle which was the original part that had a recall. The item was never replaced as they had told me which could have led to a major hazard or possibly even death of myself, family, or even another vehicle causing an accident. I am reporting a vehicle fire involving my 2008 BMW X3, which had an active safety recall for the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve heater (Recall Campaign No. 22V-119). This recall identifies a risk of short circuiting, overheating, and potential fire. On February 27, 2026, I contacted BMW after discovering multiple active recalls on my vehicle. ... was safe to drive. After consulting internally, I was advised that I did not need a tow and that the vehicle was safe to drive. Based on this guidance, I scheduled a repair appointment for March 24, 2026. On March 14, 2026, before starting the vehicle, I noticed a very faint smell of burning plastic, which I reasonably believed was coming from a nearby source and not from my vehicle. After starting the vehicle and driving approximately 2–3 blocks, the smell rapidly intensified and began filling the interior. Multiple dashboard warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle lost acceleration almost immediately. I safely pulled the vehicle off the road, turned it off, and opened the hood, at which point I observed smoke and active fire originating from the rear/center area of the engine compartment. I immediately called 911, and the Central Mat-Su Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. The vehicle sustained extensive fire damage and has been deemed a total loss. I am concerned that despite a known recall involving fire risk, I was advised that the vehicle was safe to drive, which may have contributed to this incident. There were no indicators of any problems prior to driving it and the dashboard only lit up seconds before the vehicle stopped moving and caught fire. It has not been inspected by anyone but I have it covered on my property to preserve the evidence. I had this truck as brand new for approximately 24 hours when it had a major failure. It had 450 miles on it at time of purchase, but was sold as new. While driving at 45MPH it had a check engine light, service power steering message, lost power steering, lane departure system failure, and reduced power amongst several other lights on the dash. The severity of the symptoms raises concern that harmful fumes or gases are entering and remaining inside the vehicle cabin. The vehicle has been taken to Mazda service centers twice and it is currently there for the third time. The dealerships have stated they are unable to detect the odor and has not performed any effective repair. The condition persists and continues to affect occupant safety. This issue is not consistent with a typical “new vehicle smell.” The intensity, recurrence, and physical symptoms suggest a potential defect allowing chemical or exhaust fumes to enter the passenger compartment. I WAS GOING UP A STEEP NARROW ROAD, A BIG TRUCK WAS COMING DOWN SO I STOPPED AND HONKED SO HE WOULD BACK UP. WHEN HE DID, I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE MY SUV. THE SITUATION DID NOT REPLICATE, THEREFORE THEY SAY THERES NOTHING THEY CAN DO OR CHECK, ALTHOUGH I HAVE READ THAT THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN KNOW TO DO THIS, BUT THEY DID NOT EVEN LOOK AT THE PRINTED EVIDENCE I TOOK TO THEM.. THERE WERE SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT HAD TO BE CHECKED BUT THE MANAGER REFUSED TO EVEN READ THE INFORMATION. Going home from work, At highway traffic light intersection and car began to shake, sputter.. Engine and Oil light briefly came on before car stalled and shut off. In panic put gear into park, turned ignition button, car started and was able to put into drive and proceed. Not long after, on a main road, waiting for turn light, stalled, lost power again. When trying to accel, same thing happened as I was half way across 2 lanes, had zero accelerate power, car was shaking/sputtering, but luckily made it across. Car sat off for approximately 10 minutes. Was able to turn on and accelerate to get home without problem. This is a very scary situation to be in, especially in very heavy city traffic conditions. I have never been notified of any sort of recall. A case # has been made with Honda USA. They also let me know that although the year and model of my car WAS a part of a Fuel Pump Recall, and even though I experienced the same issues that other owners were having in which their vehicles were recalled, that my VIN # was not part of that particular batch recall.
