I slowly put my foot on the brake and suddenly heard a noise under the vehicle. It sounded like loud grinding. As pulled forward I looked in the rear view mirror and didn't see anything in the road that may have fallen out from under my vehicle. When I pushed on the gas I was suddenly accelerating forward very quickly without my control. This was maybe one or two seconds after I heard the noise.

I actually tried to call the 855 Hyundai number to schedule the work, and that operator said nothing about two visits; she was unable to book the appointment she'd given me, so directed me to the local Hyundai dealer, who also said NOTHING about two appointments being needed to have this recall work done. I am concerned, because i am scheduled to drive out of town in a high pedestrian and vehicle traffic area in two weeks and was doing my due diligence to get the recall work done before the trip. I feel that the two appointments are unnecessary when EVERY 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe with this feature is equipped with the same rear camera and rear camera harness assembly, such that there's no reason to have to FURTHER register it with my VIN, that this could all be done in one appointment. Requiring customers to come for 2 appointments--especially without telling them anywhere in the letter or during 2 phone calls--simply increases risk of injuries if the camera fails. ... teering wheel rapidly shakes left to right, and the entire vehicle shudders for 5 to 10 seconds. The oscillation does not stop until I slow the vehicle down to below 45 mph. This issue is reproducible and occurs frequently on rough or uneven road surfaces at highway speeds. During these events, I temporarily lose the ability to maintain proper steering control, creating a dangerous situation for myself, my passengers, and other drivers. This condition is commonly referred to as “Death Wobble,” and it makes the vehicle unsafe to operate. Given the severity of this defect and the safety risk it poses, I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue and that Jeep/Stellantis address the defect under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty (3‑year/36,000‑mile basic warranty). The gap runs across the middle of the windshield to its left and right side occupying about 50% in total. There was no impact from road debris, no vehicles ahead, no overpass, and no external cause. The failure sounded like an explosion or gunshot. No injuries occurred, but the sudden explosive noise and shower of glass created an extreme distraction and safety hazard while operating the vehicle at highway speed. The incident could easily have caused a loss of vehicle control on the interstate. The component that failed is the factory-installed panoramic power sunroof glass, standard equipment on the Denali Ultimate trim. The vehicle was taken to Lugoff Chevrolet for inspection. The dealer confirmed the glass failure and submitted a request to GM for warranty or goodwill coverage. GM offered to cover only 10% of the repair cost, characterizing the failure as an out-of-warranty wear issue despite the spontaneous nature of the defect. There were no warning signs, cracks, chips, warning lamps, or any indication of a problem prior to the failure. The sunroof was closed at the time. The vehicle has been dealer-maintained with no modifications to the sunroof or roof structure. This is a known industry-wide defect. NHTSA has previously investigated spontaneous sunroof shattering and documented over 4,000 complaints. GM has acknowledged awareness of this issue in other GM vehicles and previously issued corrective actions for sunroof glass on the Buick Regal and Chevrolet Cruze. Nature of the Defect: The windshield cowl on the Ram ProMaster is designed in a manner that permits significant water intrusion directly into the engine compartment. Water enters through the cowl seam and surrounding gaps, bypassing any drainage system, and flows onto critical engine and electrical components including but not limited to: the serpentine belt and pulley system, the engine fuse box, transmission components, and wiring harnesses. I brought my vehicle to two separate authorized Ram dealerships. The second dealer confirmed — based on testing conducted on multiple ProMaster vans dating back to 2018 — that this water intrusion behavior is consistent across the model line. In other words, the dealer has effectively confirmed that this is not a defect isolated to my vehicle, but a design characteristic of the ProMaster platform itself. This confirmation does not reassure me. It alarms me. A design that has permitted consistent water intrusion onto safety-critical engine and electrical components across a major commercial vehicle platform for over a decade is not an acceptable engineering standard. Given the size and weight of these vehicles — many operated commercially and carrying passengers or heavy cargo — the consequences of power steering loss, electrical failure, or mechanical failure are severe. After the car is warmed up after driving for a few minutes, I stop at a red light and the car's RPMS dip from 700 rpm idle to 500ish rpm, when it starts shaking. Then the RPM would go back up to 700 rpm. This only ever happens when in Drive and foot is on the brake. If I shift to neutral or park it goes away and idles normally at 700 or higher RPM. ... gh, if I turn on the DRLs or full headlights, the RPMs don't dip. I feel like it will only be a matter of time before the RPM will dip low enough to the point where the engine will die on me. This is a safety concern. No check engine lights. I have cleaned the MAF sensor, changed engine air filter, cleaned throttle body, changed PCV valve, cleaned injectors, run fuel injector cleaner through the gas tank, replaced my engine mounts. The onstar module of my 2023 GMC Yukon has failed. This is a wide spread issue with recent model GMC's. There are thousands of reports of the same thing happenings. When an onstar module fails, the vehicle loses its safety features. No lane departure, no collision detection or pre-collision braking, no critical system checks. Even the gas and mileage components stop working correctly.
