In 2025 I bought this vehicle used at a dealership with 84,000 miles on it. A year later, it’s at 118,000 miles and needs a new engine. Due to coolant leaking into my cylinders and into my engine and mixing with oil and water in my oil pan. The issue it is having is directly caused my ford and the way it has designed this engine. During that time, the driver's side seat airbag was non-functional due to a circuit short to ground and a broken connector housing. Had I been involved in a collision during that period, the driver's side airbag may not have deployed, significantly increasing the risk of serious injury or death. I was not informed of this defect at the time of purchase and had no knowledge that the airbag system was compromised. I drove the vehicle believing it to be equipped with functioning safety systems. The defect was confirmed by Volvo Cars Tacoma (O'Brien Auto Group), a franchised manufacturer-certified Volvo dealership in Tacoma. Technician #2101608 performed a comprehensive inspection using Volvo's proprietary VIDA diagnostic system dated May 16–30, 2026. The inspection retrieved diagnostic trouble code SRS-B002011 confirming a circuit short to ground in the left side airbag deployment control system, and physically identified a broken clip on the airbag connector housing. The technician documented: "There is likely an intermittent failure at the connection between the airbag connector and the seat airbag itself. Need to start with replacement of airbag and repin connector." The check engine light illuminated within days of my purchase. This prompted me to bring the vehicle to Volvo Cars Tacoma on May 16, 2026 — six days after purchase. I personally did not observe an SRS warning light.Read more

If you forget and try to remove the key in under a minute after parking you have to restart the truck, go back to park and then start the 1-3 minute countdown all over before it will release the key. The truck is in park, the parking brake is engaged (although we tried without using the brake and still won’t release key) This means the trucks battery has to run until it will release the key. While operating a 2026 Tesla Model Y on Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised, the vehicle's vision-based lane-keeping system failed on an unmarked residential road. This lane departure created an immediate, severe safety hazard, as it placed the vehicle directly in the path of potential oncoming traffic with zero forward visibility over the crest. Due to the critical lane positioning error, immediate driver intervention was required. The driver took manual control of the steering wheel to force the vehicle back into the correct lane, causing the FSD system to instantly disengage. Simultaneously, the driver applied manual braking to reduce speed drastically down to 10 MPH to safely clear a resident working on the right shoulder and stabilize the vehicle. Prior to the failure, there were no warning lamps, error messages, or symptoms indicating the system would fail to maintain proper lane positioning. The system appeared to be functioning normally up until the crest of the hill. This vehicle has chronic clicking when turning , when taken to a mechnanic i was informed the CV Axles both were torn and that it was a common issue for the 22 ford mavericks and they issue replacements for free. Failure verified by independent SAE certified mechanic. Note: Clutch and Brakes feed from the same reservoir, so loss of clutch hydraulic fluid also impacts entire braking system.

... pushed the lock button on my key fob, and I pressed the tailgate button on the dash which would normally cause it to either open or close depending on its current position. None of those steps resolved the issue. I quickly googled the problem, identified the correct fuse in the dash, and pulled the endgate fuse to stop the tailgate from opening and closing on its own. With the fuse pulled, the tailgate does not function. I called my dealer who informed me it is a known issue with some Silverado trucks and that some had been recalled however he noted my 2022 was not included in the recall for this issue. This electronic defect has escalated from a minor distraction into a severe hazard that directly compromises the operational safety features of the vehicle, putting myself and my children at imminent risk of a crash. ... lem initially began, I investigated whether a safety recall had been issued. At that time, I was informed that my vehicle was outside of its standard warranty coverage period. Since then, the defect has degenerated significantly. The system now suffers from continuous, uncontrollable phantom inputs ("ghost touching"). Even when I manually power the radio off, the system overrides my command, turns itself back on, and initiates constant, rapid beep sequences. This continuous, high-volume auditory glitch creates a dangerous critical safety failure: the nonstop beeping totally masks and completely drowns out the vehicle's actual auditory collision avoidance and driver-assist safety alerts. Because of this defect, I am entirely unable to hear the safety tones meant to warn me of immediate hazards, including blind-spot detection alerts, lane-departure warnings, and cross-traffic alerts. This vehicle has become an active hazard to drive, as I am deprived of the core safety features I rely on to protect my family. I contacted Subaru of America to resolve this dangerous equipment failure, but they refused to offer any financial assistance or repair support. Subaru Corporate documented this refusal under Subaru Case #260603-1600711. Because Subaru refuses to address a known component failure that actively disables crash-avoidance warning systems, I am petitioning the NHTSA to investigate this defect as a systemic safety hazard before it results in severe injuries or a fatal accident. I am a full-time power wheelchair user with Multiple Sclerosis and rely on this 2024 Chrysler Pacifica wheelchair-accessible van as my primary means of transportation. Since purchase, the vehicle has repeatedly experienced dangerous loss-of-power events while being driven. ... C, Park Brake, FCW, ESC, and MIL. After these warnings appear, the vehicle loses acceleration and enters a reduced-power/limp-mode condition. Pressing the accelerator does not result in normal acceleration, creating a serious safety hazard in traffic. Most recently, on June 4, 2026, this occurred approximately six times during a single trip. During one incident, the warning lights illuminated, the vehicle lost acceleration, and we were forced to pull over with emergency flashers activated in a dangerous location. A police officer came upon us, stopped to assist, and advised that the location was extremely dangerous. Because I use a power wheelchair, I cannot safely transfer into a standard vehicle, taxi, rideshare, or other transportation. We explained to the officer that if the van were to be towed, I would effectively be stranded because there was no practical way to transport me in my power wheelchair. The condition later cleared and we were able to continue. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by Chrysler service departments and DriveMaster, the local mobility provider working with Freedom Motors. The problem has been reported repeatedly but is intermittent and has not been reproduced during inspections. Despite multiple repair attempts, the problem persists. The vehicle is available for inspection. These recurring loss-of-power events create a serious safety risk for myself, my family, and other motorists.Read more

At the time of the event, a battery system failure warning appeared along with a plug icon on the dashboard. I was forced to pull off the roadway and bring the vehicle to a complete stop. The vehicle had to be placed in Park and restarted before it would operate again. Fortunately, there was a safe area available to pull over. Had this occurred in heavier traffic or where there was no safe shoulder, it could have created a serious safety hazard. I returned the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership retained the vehicle for approximately one week but advised they could not duplicate the failure and could not identify a cause. I was told to keep the vehicle charged. My concern is that the incident occurred immediately after the battery gauge reached approximately 1% state of charge. Based on the timing of the event, I am concerned there may be a problem related to the transition from electric/hybrid operation to gasoline engine operation when the high-voltage battery reaches a very low state of charge. I am not claiming this is the cause, only that the timing appears significant. To my knowledge, the vehicle was kept charged during dealership testing, and I do not know whether the battery was allowed to reach the same low state of charge that existed when the failure occurred. A sudden loss of motive power while driving creates a significant safety risk, and I have not received a clear explanation for the cause of the failure or assurance that it will not happen again.Read more

I contacted the FCA hotline to report this problem and to see if Dodge had either addressed this problem or would be willing to. Each time the representative denied having a single complaint about this problem, which I knew to be false after the second time, because I knew there was at least one, MINE from the first report. This repair cost over $1600, and is still not done because the headlight assembly for the driver's side is on back order. Yes, the driver-side headlight assembly is on back order, but not the passenger-side one. When asked why the passenger side is not on backorder, but the driver-side one is, I was told it's because there seems to be a widespread problem with the ones that came on the vehicle from the factory, and replacing them has caused a backorder. To add insult to injury, Dodge's own warranty does not cover this problem, and neither do their expensive extended warranties, because the problem is considered to be a "sealed beam", not the headlight assembly itself, even though the only way to replace the headlight assembly.Read more

My passenger interior door panel structure on my 2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack is expanding and separating. The warping plastic lip is shifting into the window channel and could impede the proper deployment path of the side-impact curtain or door airbags.
