Incident date: Feb 19, 2026

The 2026 Telsa Model Y Juniper I took delivery of on 2/19/2026 has no emergency release in the front trunk (the frunk). This should be standard but for some reason after Oct 2025, Tesla decided not to include this in the new models. This is a safety hazard as if someone were to get locked in the frunk (front trunk) they would have no way of being able to get out.

The motor began to making a knocking noise and started smoking like a fire was starting. We immediately turned off the vehicle preventing from a full fledge fire. We had children in the car as well which posed a safety concern for them. We had no prior warning lights or issues. It has yet to be inspected by anyone.

When I start the car and place it into reverse (from its parking spot) and let it idle backwards about 12-18 ft, it abruptly comes to a halt and makes a hard thump noise. If I then shift it into drive and allow it to idle forward, it will barely idle upto about 6-8 feet. I am hearing a plethora of different things and have not been able to drive it since October, 2025. I need help, please.

The ICCU component failed on me at 4,356 miles. Heard a pop with the car and then the dash started displaying electrical errors. To stop the vehicle and turn it off. The vehicle would not accelerate and would only go up to 25 miles per hour. Had to tow it to the dealership. Given a time frame of 30-60 days to receive the ICCU part for repair.

After this repair the door began intermittently failing to close fully and would close about 80% before the sensor triggered it to reopen. After driving about 20-25 minutes, the speakers after working fine turn to all loud static even when turning the volume down. After the car is off for a bit, the speakers return to normal until driving again for 10-20 minutes. It’s so loud that you can’t hear anything and is very distracting
