I contacted another dealer, explained my situation and he advised me to call honda corp to be added to the recall and mention goodwill. I immediately called the corporate but had to wait for their case mgr to get back with us. I asked my daughter to call the dealer where we got our car diagnosed, to ask svc advisor if it is safe to use the car and we were advised that it's ok to use. However my daughter was driving the car and all of a sudden it wasn't accelerating and only going around 5 miles per hour. She had to go back home and missed her classes. She was scared and I could just imagine how scary that was.How about if this happened when she was in the freeway? This could have caused a major accident. I don't understand why Honda only issued the recall to some cars with same model as ours if they already have lots of customers having same issue. I even read this issue was featured on ABC news. Honda did offer to help with lowering the fuel injector but I still have to pay $899.19 and around $204 for diagnosis. The svc advisor said they've been having a lot of same model cars coming in for fuel injector problems. While flat towing my 2022 Ford F‑350 behind a motorhome using Ford’s Neutral Tow Mode procedure, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic transmission failure. The Ford dealer documented this clearly on the service invoice: “HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS FLAT TOWED.” After the tow, the truck had severe slipping, delayed engagement, high RPM with no movement, and a wrench light. The dealer found catastrophic internal damage: “fluid is burnt with metal debris… filter is packed with metal debris… torque converter has came apart and filled transmission with metal debris… it is catastrophic failure.” These components are available for inspection. The dealer also documented a low battery condition: “batteries. low state of charge.” Ford’s Neutral Tow Mode relies on electronic control modules that require stable voltage, but Ford provides no warning that low voltage can cause the transfer case to exit Neutral Tow Mode. This creates a safety risk because the transmission can be rotated internally without lubrication while being towed, which can lead to sudden drivetrain lockup or loss of control. The problem was confirmed by the Ford dealer, and the vehicle was fully inspected by them. The only warning symptom occurred after towing: wrench light, slipping, and no movement. There were no warnings during the tow itself. This failure mode is not disclosed by Ford and cannot be detected or prevented by the owner.Read more

My 2014 Ford F150 truck went into “limp mode” last week. A wrench showed up on my dashboard, my speedometer didn’t function, and it sounded like the transmission was “winding up” if I tried to accelerate. ... scary moment. Luckily I was able to keep my truck under control and drove very slowly back home considering I was less than 4 miles from my home. The truck went into a Ford dealership in 2024 for the “transmission recall” in which the only thing I noticed different was that I couldn’t see the digital shifting of the transmission on the screen anymore and they “killed” my battery. I still had issues every so often with power loss or the transmission shifting down abruptly, but it wouldn’t throw a code. Last week it threw a code. P0720 to be exact, the reason for the transmission recall in the first place. There was no fix done with the recall and it made it so that I had to watch my RPM’s to track my transmission shifting. This is extremely concerning especially since I was having the issues prior to a computer reprogram and it wasn’t addressed. I have also seen that there’s yet another Ford transmission recall that could affect my truck considering it was assembled in June 2014 and fits the transmission 6R80 that needs fixed. I had to manually close my tailgate due to my buttons on my car and my key fab failing to work. The car essentially performs an uncommanded emergency stop or severe deceleration without warning. The force is strong enough to create a serious risk of being rear-ended by vehicles behind me. This has happened at highway speeds and on local roads, making the vehicle unsafe to operate. If a following driver is unable to react in time, this defect could easily cause a crash, injury, or death. The problem appears related to the vehicle’s automatic emergency braking / Active Brake Assist / forward collision avoidance system and possibly other linked driver-assistance systems. The vehicle has already been serviced on two separate occasions for this exact issue, yet the problem has occurred again. Despite bringing the vehicle in for repair more than once, the defect remains unresolved. Because this dangerous unintended braking continues to happen, I cannot continue to drive the car safely with this issue unresolved. On April 1, 2025, I took the vehicle to Aristocrat Motors in Merriam, Kansas for the car slamming on the brakes and beeping when no one was around. The service center calibrated the augmented reality camera and performed a test drive. The invoice indicates that they were unable to duplicate the braking event during the test drive. They ran codes with SDS and found that the augmented reality camera was not calibrated correctly, so they performed a calibration. Dealership told me that all Tiguans are having a issue with the SOS and the info center freezing. They showed me it was in the system, but no fix. SO I was sold a car they knew had issues that could not be resolved right now. As a consumer I should have been told the issues so I could make a decision to buy or not. I called VW from the dealership 4/24 and was told I would get a call back. I have called and called trying to call the case manager with no avail. I have been told by VW only the case manager. Plug for phone charger almost fried my phone. Was so hot my phone turned off, turning off my navigation. So my phone was off, navigation off and SOS button not working. I am filing this complaint regarding multiple serious safety defects in my 2021 Subaru Outback purchased in July 2021, currently at 48000 miles THERMO CONTROL VALVE FAILURE (26,307 miles) While traveling in the center lane on [XXX] southbound in [XXX] the evening of 1/6/2024 my vehicle suddenly experienced a complete loss of control. ... ame time without driver input making it impossible to operate safely. It started shaking and several lights were illuminated on the dashboard, power steering was not working. The car coasted to the right shoulder and starlink was used to call for help. The car was towed to the dealership for repairs. The diagnosis was a failed thermo control valve and related sensor circuit. There were no dashboard lights before the incident that fore shadowed this event. This failure rendered the vehicle completely inoperable at highway speed and posed and extreme risk to the safety of the driver, passenger and other motorists. I am aware that Subaru has extended the warranty on the thermo controls valve to 15 years/150000 miles for 2020-2022 Outback’s which suggests that Subaru had knowledge of the defect. Since the incident several other premature “wear” defects have presented under 48000 miles on a 2021 vehicle: - 41,402 miles: driver side rear strut replaced - 41,402 miles: rear brake pads and rotors - 41,402 miles: driver side front window motor, regulator and run Chanel - 41808 miles: rear knuckle assembly, rear wheel bearing and backing plate replaced - 45,768 miles: front brake pads and and rotors replaced - 48,000 miles: complete exhaust system - 48,000 miles: passenger side front window motor, regulator and run chanel This vehicle has proven to be uncharacteristically unreliable for a Subaru Outback. The intended use for this vehicle is for my children to drive to college nearly 600 miles from home in the fall. This car is not appropriate for this purpose.
