Vehicle has experienced repeated internal engine failures related to the exhaust valve lash adjusters and valvetrain. The engine developed abnormal valvetrain noise, misfires under load, and loss of power. The check engine light would only flash during hard acceleration or when passing another vehicle (wide-open throttle), then turn off after approximately 10–15 seconds and never remain illumin
... ated. Because the warning light would not stay on, the vehicle continued to be operated without clear indication of an active or worsening engine failure. Dealer inspection confirmed exhaust valve lash adjuster failure, which led to camshaft and valvetrain damage. This failure has occurred more than once, including after prior dealer repairs. This is a serious safety concern because the vehicle was driven at highway speeds and during passing maneuvers while experiencing internal engine damage and misfires, without persistent warning to the driver. Sudden power loss, stalling, or catastrophic engine failure during acceleration or passing presents a risk of crash or injury. This appears to be a systemic engine defect rather than normal wear, as the failure recurred and was not reliably detected by the vehicle’s monitoring system.Read more

Driving down the road, the radio volume will randomly rapidly increase to full volume. There is no way to turn the volume down. It has happened approximately 5 times since I have owned the vehicle. Thie first time was when the vehicle was only a few months old.

The defect involves the front suspension and/or steering system of a new 2026 Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Symptoms—persistent front-end clunking/thunking (primarily driver-side), steering instability, and vibration—began immediately upon delivery in late 2025, with Tesla notified same afternoon as delivery. The vibration now begins aroun
... d 60 mph and intensifies with speed. Steering feel is excessively vague on-center (requiring constant correction to maintain lane position) yet overly twitchy and sensitive to inputs, creating inconsistent and unpredictable handling. The condition has progressively worsened and now renders the vehicle unsafe at highway speeds due to risk of loss of control. No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms have appeared prior to or since onset. Tesla service centers have had multiple opportunities to evaluate the vehicle under warranty. The problem has not been confirmed objectively by Tesla; during at least one evaluation, a technician drove only at speeds below complaint threshold (despite requests to test at the speeds where symptoms occur), stated he did not feel the issue, and performed no further diagnosis. Multiple appointments were canceled or rescheduled by Tesla (including one after I arrived). The vehicle was repeatedly returned without documented objective testing or repair addressing the complaint. During one visit, the Tesla app indicated an active “visual quality check” while the vehicle remained parked outside and not being worked on for an extended period (documented). To rule out tires, I installed a brand-new set; the vibration worsened afterward. Safety risk: Unresolved steering/suspension instability increases the risk of loss of vehicle control at highway speeds, endangering occupants and other road users. On January 16, 2026, I noticed the vehicle's horn was extremely quiet and would not be audible to another driver. This puts the safety of the Tesla driver and other roadway users at risk because another driver or pedestrian would not hear the horn if the Tesla driver needed to get their attention. This problem occurred after receiving approximately 6-8 inches of snow and driving in the snow. It is
... possible the design of the Tesla allows for snow/rain to block the horn speaker causing it to not function correctly during and after snow/rain conditions. I am reporting a safety defect in the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Nightshade involving the multifunction turn signal switch. The interior trim adhesive on the steering column has experienced a chemical breakdown (adhesive migration), causing the turn signal stalk to become stiff and bind. This obstruction makes it difficult to engage the turn signal and occasionally prevents the signal from "aut
... o-canceling" after a turn. The dealership has acknowledged the adhesive failure by authorizing the replacement of the steering column covers but refuses to replace the contaminated turn signal switch. Operating a vehicle with a binding turn signal switch is a direct safety hazard, as it compromises the driver's ability to communicate intent to other motorists. Additionally, the dashboard material is experiencing systemic delamination and producing a white crystalline powder (crystallized adhesive). I am requesting an investigation into the heat-resistance standards of the interior bonding agents used in the 2025 Nightshade trim, as these materials are failing and compromising safety-critical electronic controls. I am experiencing multiple safety-related issues with the driver's side door latch/lock assembly on my Volkswagen vehicle. These problems are isolated to the driver's door and appear linked to a known defect involving water intrusion and freezing. Symptoms include: In cold mornings (around 7:30 AM), the driver's door latch frequently freezes shut, likely due to moisture ingress that freezes in sub
... -freezing conditions—preventing opening from the exterior and sometimes the interior handle. This aligns with Volkswagen TSB 57-18-01, which addresses moisture-related freezing of front door latches. I must enter through the passenger door. While driving, the vehicle triggers "door open" chimes and warnings. The door is latched, but the door is not locked while driving. Which causes wind to catch on the door. If I am able to get the door open from the interior handle, the door will not latch closed. The driver's door fails to lock securely while using the hand exterior sensor or the lock button on the car keys. The other doors lock, but leaves the driver's door unlocked, with no audible unlock confirmation. The selective unlock feature is also inoperative, as the interior unlock button on the driver's panel does not function. After shifting into Drive or Reverse, the door fails to relatch properly if opened and closed. These issues create serious safety risks: Potential for the door to open unexpectedly while driving, risking loss of vehicle control or occupant ejection. Delayed emergency egress in accidents or fires if the latch remains stuck. Driver distraction from persistent false door-ajar alerts, which could mask critical warnings. Compromised vehicle security due to unreliable locking. Given the documented nature of this problem in TSB 57-18-01, this should be a recalled issue as it's a direct impact on door security and vehicle safety.Read more

In May 2022, the air conditioning condenser on my 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid was replaced due to AC failure. In April 2023, shortly after purchasing the vehicle following a lease buyout, I returned with the same AC issue and was told the condenser may have been defective and it was replaced again. I then took the vehicle to another authorized Honda dealership, where I was told the condenser may not
... have been replaced previously, and it was replaced again. Dye was added to the AC system at South Motors Honda to identify a leak. Despite this, Largo Honda later charged me again to add dye, stating they could not access the prior dealership’s diagnostic records, even though both are Honda-authorized dealerships. After continued AC failure, two authorized Honda dealerships have now diagnosed the issue as a leaking air conditioning evaporator and documented the failure with video evidence. Loss of air conditioning impacts driver safety by impairing windshield defogging and creating unsafe cabin temperatures, particularly in hot weather. This represents a premature failure of a non-wear component. This issue has persisted since 2022. The manufacturer declined repair assistance despite repeated repairs and dealer-confirmed diagnostics.Read more

I am submitting this complaint to report a failure related to an emissions recall repair. The vehicle identified by VIN [XXX] was fully operable, properly maintained, and in excellent condition prior to an emissions recall repair performed by an authorized dealership. Immediately after the recall “fix” was completed, the vehicle began experiencing serious operational problems and became undr
... ivable. The servicing dealership towed the vehicle and attempted an additional repair. After the vehicle was returned, it failed again on its first use and is now completely inoperable. Despite the fact that this failure occurred only after the recall repair, the dealership and manufacturer are refusing to assume responsibility for towing and correction unless the owner pays to have the vehicle towed more than 75 miles to another location. We do not believe it is appropriate for the owner to bear the cost of correcting a defect that arose directly from recall work. Another authorized dealership has advised that responsibility remains with the dealer that performed the recall repair. The original servicing dealer has now stated they are “not responsible,” despite having performed the recall work. This situation has left the vehicle undrivable and created a significant hardship, and we believe it represents a recall remedy failure. I spoke with the service manager at the dealership and he said it is up to me to prove that they did the damage to the car. The vehicle was operable before the recall repair The vehicle became inoperable immediately after the recall repair The recall is still showing as open The dealer already acknowledged a problem by towing it once and attempting a second repair That establishes prima facie responsibility. I am submitting this formal complaint to report a serious and dangerous safety defect involving the auxiliary battery system in the 2019 Jeep Compass. Without sufficient warning, my vehicle suddenly lost power and shut down while driving in traffic due to auxiliary battery failure. This failure caused a loss of propulsion and significantly reduced vehicle control, leaving me vulnerable in active
... traffic with little to no time to safely react or pull over. This situation could easily result in a severe accident, serious injury, or loss of life. What makes this issue especially alarming is that this is not an isolated incident. There are thousands of documented complaints, forum posts, and consumer reports online describing the exact same failure pattern in the 2019 Jeep Compass. Many drivers report sudden stalling, warning lights appearing too late to prevent shutdown, and complete loss of power while driving at speed or in intersections. A vehicle that can unexpectedly stop in traffic due to a known battery system defect presents a catastrophic safety risk. The lack of adequate warning or fail-safe design places drivers, passengers, and surrounding motorists in immediate danger. This is particularly concerning given the widespread nature of the issue and the absence of an effective recall or permanent corrective action. Something must be done before someone is seriously injured or killed. I urge immediate investigation, accountability, and corrective measures- including a recall- before this defect results in a fatal accident. This defect undermines basic vehicle safety expectations and should be treated as a matter of urgency.Read more
