When charging my Silverado EV at Level 3 DC Fast chargers it is not charging at the same Voltage / Power as it has been in the past at the same stations (roughly half the power). I have taken it to the service center for diagnostics but they were unable to isolate the component that caused this problem, only reproduce the problem. Further details below. What component or system failed or malfunc
... tioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? - The Level 3 DC high voltage charging is not charging at the same voltage as a comparable Silverado EV. (Pictures attached) - I can demonstrate the problem with my car on request, I have attached pictures of a new Silverado EV charging as well. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - I would not consider it safe for level 3 DC charging which involves high current and high voltage to not be working as designed. It is also unsafe to not have any warning lights indicating that the charging is not working as designed. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by John Heister Chevrolet of Fuquay Varina NC. They were unable to isolate a component that is causing the issue and have sent log files of the car to the engineers at Chevy to further diagnose this issue. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - There are no warning lights / messages indicating that there is a problem even now. Only the symptom of not charging at the expected Voltage / Power level. - Symptoms were first observed by me on December 16, 2026Read more

Two issues: 1. The paint on my rooftop in front of the sunroof began peeling off three months ago. I’ve read and MANY owners of the same model within a two year timeframe have had the exact same issue and we realized it’s a manufacturer’s problem. The manufacturer however, is saying it’s out of warranty and that’s absurd because now we all have to pay $2000+ to have our entire roof repai
... nted. I have read that some people have had it repainted and it’s peeling again. That is a major problem. Acura needs to remedy this quickly before they lose customers. And I really love my Acura and I would love to buy another one in the future, but I’m counting on this one lasting a very long time! Won’t last that long, however, if the paint peels off continuously. I’ve included below in the attachments the preliminary repair cost of this that I had quoted when I first discovered the issue in October. 2. My battery kept draining two years ago, even though I got a new battery – – twice within the same month – – and the dealership in Birmingham, King Acura, was very thorough and very kind and generous, and the only thing that they could figure out after I had read numerous reviews from consumers online and suggested it to them was that the Bluetooth was draining my battery. They told me I could replace it for $3500 or have them disconnect it permanently. I chose to have them disconnected permanently because I didn’t want to pay $3500 for a Bluetooth system that was working but caused a random side effect that affected my whole car. Can you please help me with these issues as I am a big fan of Acura and I would like to see Honda make good on this. Thank you.Read more

On returning to my locked vehicle that had been in the parking ramp for 3 days, I started the car and the display message indicated that my vehicle was completely out of gas and the oil was very low. The vehicle had nearly a full tank of gas when it was parked. The vehicle was towed to the dealership who assessed the vehicle. The service department indicated that the vehicle likely did not soun
... d like it was running because of the idle feature, and as such, I may have thought I shut off the car, but that eventually the idle feature turned off, and the vehicle ran while it was locked until it was out of gas. The service man who sent me a video of my vehicle and described what happened, also showed me another BMW SUV in the hoist next to my vehicle and indicated that same vehicle had the same thing happen as well. BMW replaced the programing/encoding control units software that was original to the vehicle. They indicated that this would improve overall function of the vehicle. The cost of this replacement was $371. This sounds like a design flaw. My 2019 Toyota Camry has 75,000 miles and is experiencing a premature and progressive transmission failure that creates serious safety risks. The vehicle is subject to an open federal safety recall involving a fuel injector that may crack and leak fuel onto the top of the engine. According to NHTSA, liquid fuel or fuel vapor may accumulate near hot engine or exhaust components, creating a risk of an under-hood fire and injury. I purchased this vehicle after the recall had already been issued. The recall was not disclosed to me at the t
... ime of sale, and the vehicle was presented for service multiple times after purchase without any disclosure of the recall or safety warnings. When I contacted an authorized dealer to ask whether there were any open recalls, I was initially told there were none. After I specifically referenced the recall, I was told that parts were not available and that no repair had been completed. The safety risk is that the vehicle may leak fuel near hot components without warning, creating a fire hazard while driving or after the engine is shut off. I have not been provided interim safety guidance or a timeline for repair. NHTSA records currently show the recall remains open, unrepaired, and without an available remedy.Read more

I received none of these. • MINI Corporate Recall Team confirmed they had no documentation from the dealer and incorrectly stated that the module does not need to be opened. • Without a completed inspection uploaded to MINI Corporate, a denial code cannot be generated. • I was charged for the FRM replacement part, even though the recall should cover the repair if the module is affected. • The dealer only offered to waive a $149 programming fee. Safety Concern: The dealer failed to follow required recall procedures, failed to document the inspection, and denied federally mandated recall coverage without evidence. City Public Works has not fulfilled their responsibility, allowing this longstanding safety defect to persist and directly cause harm to vehicles and endanger public safety. Reporting to NHTSA as a roadway-related safety issue that has damaged my vehicle (suspension failure from hitting eroded areas/potholes) and could indicate broader trends in road conditions affecting vehicle performance, handling, traction, and overall safety. Please evaluate for any defect implications, trend analysis, or referral to appropriate authorities. **Urgent corrective actions required:** 1. Full-depth pavement evaluation and reconstruction: remove all failed surface/base layers, repair/compact subgrade, apply proper asphalt overlay or full repave to current standards. 2. Engage a qualified, different contractor to avoid repeating the prior substandard work. 3. Immediate temporary patching/measures for safety until permanent fix is completed. Component Failure: This vehicle has suffered a recurring "Loss of Motive Power" (LMP) while in motion. On [XXX], for the third time, the internal combustion engine shut off completely while the vehicle was being driven in traffic. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: This incident occurred on a public road in New York during a severe winter storm with over a foot of
... snow on the ground. There were two children in the vehicle. The sudden loss of propulsion in heavy traffic and hazardous weather conditions created an immediate risk of a rear-end collision and left my family stranded without power or heat in freezing temperatures. Confirmation & Inspection: This is a documented, repeat failure. The manufacturer has confirmed the defect previously and even reimbursed me for a prior repair attempt. However, the issue remains unresolved. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Jeep dealer during previous failures, but the "remedy" provided was ineffective. I am currently awaiting a new inspection for this third occurrence. Symptoms & Warnings: Prior to the total engine shutdown, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminated on the dashboard. In previous instances, the manufacturer cited software errors or internal contamination as the cause. I suspect this is related to existing NHTSA Recall 25V-766 (Engine Sand Contamination) or Recall 25V-710 (Hybrid Control Software Failure). Additional Context: Despite the life-threatening nature of this repeat defect, the local dealership refused to provide a loaner vehicle, and the manufacturer (Jeep Wave) is refusing to fully cover the cost of a rental vehicle. I am currently paying out-of-pocket interest on delayed reimbursements from the manufacturer. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The roadway near [XXX] has progressive subsidence over more than 2 years, resulting in a reversed/inadequate gradient. Severe stormwater ponding after rain forms a river-like pool of standing water contaminated with toxic waste, raw sewage, industrial pollution, chemicals, ankle-biter mosquito larvae (breeding vector for diseases like West Nile), dirt, mud, animal droppings, litter, and dead plan

This creates major hazards: hydroplaning/reduced traction for drivers, accelerated pavement failure, pedestrian slip risks, high vector-borne disease potential (mosquitoes), foul odors, and possible sinkhole from subgrade erosion/voids. Reported >20 times via MyLA311 in 2+ years. City previously acknowledged sinking gradient needs correction. Only action: one failed temporary asphalt patch that worsened the depression. No subsurface investigation (GPR/etc.), gradient restoration, permanent drainage (catch basins/inlets/piping/regrading), full-depth repave, or contaminated water abatement. **Urgent corrective actions required:** 1. Deploy civil/geotechnical engineers for subsurface evaluation with ground-penetrating radar (GPR) or equivalent to identify cause (voids, erosion, utilities) and assess sinkhole risk. 2. Restore proper roadway cross-slope/longitudinal gradient for effective positive drainage. 3. Install/repair stormwater infrastructure to eliminate chronic contaminated ponding. 4. During normal winter operation with the heater in use, the center console area becomes excessively hot. I have measured surface temperatures exceeding approximately 130°F using an infrared thermometer. The affected area includes interior touch surfaces, cup holders, and a factory-installed wireless phone charging pad. The heat appears to originate from HVAC ducting routed through the center cons
... ole to supply the rear seat vents. Closing the rear vents does not reduce the console temperature, indicating heat transfer through the ducting rather than airflow. The condition is most severe after a warm-soak cycle (driving to operating temperature, briefly parking, then driving again). When a phone is placed in the intended storage or wireless charging area, the device overheats and triggers thermal protection warnings. The console surfaces also become hot enough to present a potential burn risk with prolonged skin contact. These temperatures exceed recommended ambient conditions for consumer electronics and lithium-ion batteries in a normal-use interior storage and charging location. The issue was reported to a Hyundai dealership. The service department stated the heat was caused by the rear HVAC duct and considered the condition “normal.” No repair, insulation review, or corrective action was offered, and no specific temperature measurements were provided in writing. Hyundai Consumer Affairs directed me to return to the same service department, despite the concern remaining unresolved. This condition occurs during normal vehicle operation and represents a potential interior thermal safety concern.Read more
