2023-2025 dodge rams and promasters 20,000miles to 70,000 miles my truck has 69,432 miles dash boards are getting so hot the radios are going into overheat mode the head units are hot to the touch the cigerette 12volt outlets are melting anything in them. My heater core erupted in my truck last week and the coolant vaporized into a thick smoke that smothered me in my cabin that i had to pull over
... and air our my vehicle i believe this is due to the dash boards getting really hot i took it to savage dodge on 61 in reading pa 19605 they diagnosed it as a heater core and heater core hoses. I called Stellantis manufacturing to ask them to review the manufacturing defect the customer service line wants nothing to do with this even after i stressed to them the dangers of inhaling vaporized coolant and the fire hazard their dash boards present. They keep denying the claim to fix this and I am trying to stop someone from dying before they decide to correct the problem. I am a 10 year master mechanic and 8 year master diagnostician in the auto industry this needs to be addressed my friends 25 dodge promaster with 21,xxx miles on it had the heater core erupt on his too but his is inder warranty. I am filing a complaint regarding my 2023 Kia Niro and Safety Recall SC332. I was driving to work early in the morning on [XXX], approximately 6:30 am, when all of suddenly i heard a loud bang and I could no longer accelerate my vehicle. I was fortunate enough to have the time to steer off to the shoulder of the highway. I got out of my vechile and my drive shaft was hanging off, broken and twisted. I called a tow truck and got it told to the Ford dealership in Independen
... ce, were i bought my vehicle. After a Ford mechanic inspected my vechile the total cost was 8,500 dollars for the repairs. My vehicle warranty was not able to cover that cost because it was over by 5,000 miles. I tow the vehicle to my house to get the opinions of other mechanics to see if they're able to fix the truck. After the mechanics looked at the damage, they all said that it looked like a fabrication issue or a recall. A drive shaft should not just fall off from a 2022 F-150 truck with the mileage the vehicle has. Also, the Rear ends of trucks usually last at least 300,00 miles, and that part was destroyed in my vehicle. My drive shaft looks like it exploded in a unatual fashion. I have attached photos of the damages of the vehicles to provide a visual image of what the mechanic saw. I purchased this newer model truck, so I would not be in this situation. I have made all my monthly payments on time and have kept up with all the maintenance required. I am currently renting a vehicle from Enterprise to get to work, and I would love to get out of this situation. I was lucky enough for my car insurance company to cover most of the cost and for me not to sustain any injuries. I believe it would have been a different story if it had happened during heavy traffic elsewhere, where I could not pull over on the side of the road, my life could have been seriously at risk. Vehicle: 2026 Honda CR-V Issue Type: Parts – Design Vulnerability / Theft-Related Defect I am submitting this complaint regarding the front radar/calibration sensor located behind the Honda “H” emblem on my 2026 Honda CR-V, which was stolen due to what I believe is a serious design vulnerability. The sensor is positioned in a manner that makes it exceptionally easy to access and remove, ev
... en without specialized tools. As a result, my vehicle was targeted shortly after purchase, the sensor was stolen, and my vehicle was rendered unsafe and undrivable due to disabled safety and driver-assist systems. This is not an isolated incident. I have since learned that this specific sensor placement has become a known and repeated target for theft, impacting Honda owners nationwide. The accessibility of this critical component creates an unreasonable risk of theft, repeated financial loss, vehicle downtime, and safety system failure for owners. To make matters worse, the replacement sensor is currently on national backorder, leaving me without my vehicle for an extended and indefinite period. I purchased this vehicle expecting reasonable protection of essential safety components and did not anticipate that a core system could be removed so easily and leave the vehicle unusable. I am requesting that Honda: 1.Formally document this as a design vulnerability 2.Review and redesign the placement and protection of the front sensor 3.Provide guidance, support, or remediation for affected owners 4.Consider goodwill assistance due to the financial and logistical burden caused by this design issue This complaint is being submitted not only for resolution of my situation, but to ensure Honda addresses a preventable design flaw that continues to place owners at risk. I look forward to Honda’s response and a meaningful resolution.Read more

I am submitting this complaint to report a safety-related issue involving my 2016 Buick Verano. The cost of transmission repair was estimated between $5,000.00 and $7,000.00. One day my car would not charge. At all. Luckily, I was at home when this happened, but had it happened to me or worse, my wife it could've been a very scary or dangerous situation. When I described
... the problem to the Tesla dealer, they were very aware of the problem and said that it was the Power Conversion System. There was no prior warning before this happened. Though they are aware of the problem, they are only fixing/replacing them on a warranty basis. Even though they know about the faulty part that they made, and acknowledge, they are not doing a recall or fixing the problem unless you pay for the parts and labor. I asked if this is normal for a car that is under 2yrs old and he said this part can go bad at anytime. The best thing that can happen is for it to happen early while still under warranty. But the part does not break due to wear and tear, or overuse, or abuse. It is due to a faulty design that needs to be replaced. That's why they have a new part that they replace it with now.Read more

On or about December 2, 2025, I discovered that multiple connected and safety-related systems on my 2025 Cadillac Optiq had stopped functioning. We believe a GM over-the-air software update was installed the weekend prior, and the dealer has inferred that the update may have caused the failure. We brought the car into the dealership on December 16th. The car was "fixed" and I picked up later that
... evening. i was told that the OnStar module is broken and is on national backorder. The OnStar module is connected to, several critical safety and driver-assistance systems which are inoperable. These include, but are not limited to: OnStar emergency services driver-assist systems, GPS and navigation functions Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and vehicle internet connectivity. Although the vehicle is technically drivable, the loss of these systems poses a significant safety risk to occupants and others on the road. The vehicle cannot contact emergency services in a collision, cannot send diagnostic data, and lacks essential driver-assistance and navigation capabilities. The dealer has confirmed the problem, but the replacement telematics module is currently backordered with no clear timeline, and they stated the delay could last weeks or longer. Because the failure appears to have been caused by a GM-issued OTA update, and because essential safety systems are offline, I am concerned about both the defect itself and the extended inability to repair it due to unavailable parts. UNKNOWN whether GM has conducted a broader inspection or analysis of this update or component, but the failure has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealer’s service department.Read more

When this occurs, the vehicle begins to sputter and loses power. It will not properly a-ccelerate and significantly reduces speed while driving. This creates a serious safety hazard, especially in traffic or at highway speeds. A sudden loss of power or inability to accelerate could easily result in a collision, potentially causing serious injury or death. There is currently no remedy available for this recall, yet the vehicle remains in operation on public roads. I do not feel the vehicle is safe to drive under these conditions. My 2023 Ram 1500 TRX has recurring safety-related failures of the infotainment system affecting both Uconnect 5 (12” screen) and earlier Uconnect 4 units. These issues are widespread in 2021–2024 Ram TRX and Ram 1500 models and began or worsened after forced over-the-air updates. The primary defect is screen failures while driving. When the screen goes black or freezes, the truck loses all fu
... nctions controlled through the display, including HVAC/defrost, backup camera, vehicle settings, seat controls, and performance gauges. This creates an immediate safety hazard: I cannot adjust climate/defrost, cannot see the required rear-view camera when shifting to reverse, and cannot access key vehicle information. Owners across multiple years consistently report: • Black screens, freezes, and reboots • Loss of HVAC control and dual-zone functions • Backup camera not displaying • Vehicle/Apps tabs failing to open • Uconnect error messages • Smaller, harder-to-read gauges after updates • Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto failures • No option to decline or roll back OTA updates These failures distract the driver, remove access to federally required equipment (rear camera), and eliminate visibility and climate controls that directly affect safe operation. The system becomes unpredictable and unstable despite the vehicle being in motion. My vehicle experiences the same issues, including a frozen screen while driving, loss of HVAC, camera not available, etc. Because this affects essential safety-related controls and visibility, I believe this is a safety defect in Ram/Stellantis Uconnect 4 and Uconnect 5 systems.
