The contact owns a 2021 Forest River XLR Toy Hauler equipped with Castle Rock Tires, Tire Line: ST Tires, Tire Size: 225/75/R15, DOT Number: TJULT 1MT. While driving approximately 70 MPH, the RV suddenly started to swerve, and the steering wheel became unstable. The contact regained control of the steering wheel and parked the vehicle on the shoulder of the roadway. Upon inspection, it was discove
... red that there was tread separation on the rear passenger’s side tire. The spare tire was mounted to the RV, and the contact continued driving on the interstate when the front driver's side tire experienced a similar failure. The RV was driven to a tire shop, and all four tires were replaced. The contact stated that the RV was poorly constructed. The aluminum siding was unsecured, and the gray water tank was continuously leaking water into the RV. The cause of the failure was not yet determined, and the RV was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 8,500.Read more

Prior symptoms: No warning lamps illuminated. Initial delamination was noticed earlier by a family member but was not fully examined at that time. Upon closer inspection at 19,225 miles, the extent of the tread chunking and delamination on both front tires was confirmed. The condition appears to have been progressive. Additional note: These tires are original equipment and have never been replaced. I am reporting repeated structural failures involving Cooper Zeon RS3‑G1 tires (size 255/45R20) installed on my 2016 Ford Flex AWD. These failures include steel belt exposure, rubber separation, and premature carcass breakdown, all occurring at under 30,000 km (~18,600 miles). This represents catastrophic structural failure well before even half of the expected service life for comparable perfor
... mance all‑season tires. The failures occurred across two separate sets of RS3‑G1 tires under normal driving conditions. The tires were properly inflated, aligned, rotated, and used seasonally. This is not treadwear, misalignment, or maintenance‑related — it is structural degradation of the tire body. Structural separation with exposed belts presents a serious safety hazard, including the potential for sudden air loss or blowout at highway speeds. Risk is further elevated on AWD vehicles due to driveline sensitivity to uneven rolling diameters or abrupt tire failure. I contacted Cooper/Goodyear beginning 03 NOV 2025, providing detailed written documentation of the failures. The only responses received were generic treadwear/warranty templates that did not address the structural issues reported. I explicitly requested written‑only communication and provided a clear response window plus a 2‑week grace period. No substantive written response was ever provided. All defective tires remain mounted on wheels and stored indoors. I have a complete photographic evidence package and a preserved written correspondence record, available upon request.Read more

Tire Size: ST225/75R15 DOT 1AD B4TRT1 3420 Manufacturer: Trailer King- These tires are dangerous!! While towing my travel trailer, driving at the posted speed limit of 65mph in October 2025, the driver side rear trailer tire failed (1st). After replacement with the spare, approximately 35 miles further down I-95, the passenger side rear tire failed (2nd). Both tires were replaced in South Carol
... ina at a tire repair shop. Arrived at final destination that evening (Jacksonville, FL). During trip back to VA while transiting on I-95 N (in GA), a third tire (driver side front) failed, replaced blown tire at a Wal-mart in the area. Remaining tire (same lot and size) which was purchased together, was also removed from the travel trailer at that time due to noted bulging outward circumferentially in the center of the tire tread. In each case, the tire tread separated from the tires, leaving sidewall in place. I have several pictures which record both tire condition, manufacturer and LOT. While there was some moderate damage to my travel trailer, requiring repair, I was fortunate the subject tires did not fail simultaneously which could have resulted in significant stability issues (towing) and potential fatal motor vehicle accident.Read more

I purchased this 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid on 11/06/2024 from Tower Honda in Longview, Texas. I purchased the vehicle with the Hankook Kinergy GT tires already on there, and these tires are still on here till this day. On January 19th, 2026, I went in for an oil change, and my service advisor mentioned a tire rotation. Once they were finished with the vehicle he did share with me that I only had 10%
... -20% tread life left. I only have 32,176 miles on my vehicle, and after researching, the tread life on these tires is 70,000 - 75,000 miles. Their are customers that have, and or having the same problem that I am having. During my research Hankook Tires are known to have premature tread wear, tread separation/sidewall issues, poor longevity, and sometimes difficulty warrant claims. I can't believe dealerships would even allow these type of tires on vehicles knowing that the tread life and value is horrible, but I guess at the end of the day, everyone is trying to make a sale, and safety doesn't matter. I think Hankook Tires better take heed at the complaints, and issues of their tires. These serious issues can turn into legal matters for this company. My tire size is 235/60R18Read more

While driving on the highway, without warning the tire tread separated from the rim causing danger to myself. Luckily I was able to pull to the side of the highway to await assistance. State police was called and the car was eventually towed to the dealership. The entire tire literally separated from the rim. Tire size: 235 /60 R 18.
