I actually love my Bronco Sport! I had car less than a month when tire developed a slow leak! The Ford dealership said I was going to have to buy a new tire at 268.00! REALLY? They said it was leaking due to Road hazard! I have not hit anything! The tire sidewall looks like it separating! I started doing research on the Tire and found out this tire has major structural issues!on Continental’s o
... wn website it gets 2.7 stars! Almost all the bad reviews are related to weak sidewalls! Separating, blowouts, sidewall bubbles! My trouble is that these tires should be discontinued and recalled! From Reading the reviews they are dangerous! My biggest disappointment is that Ford would actually put such poor rated tires on a New Vehicle! I am going to have to Replace all the Tires! Ford blames the tires I blame Ford for putting such crap on a new car! Especially a Bronco Sport! This Tire cannot even handle smooth pavement much less unpaved! Warning! If you are buying a New Ford MAKE sure it does not have this crappy dangerous tire! “Continental ProContact tx”Read more

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that on three separate occasions, a bubble had formed on three different tires which resulted in the tires being replaced. On each occasion, an abnormal, thud-like sound was coming from the vehicle. Once the vehicle was taken for an inspection, the contact was notified that a bubble had formed on the tire. The contact stated that the failure
... had occurred twice with the rear passenger’s side tire, and once on the front driver’s side tire, each with a different tire brand. On the last occasion, the contact stated that while driving at 75 MPH, the tire pressure warning light illuminated on the instrument panel with a burning rubber odor coming from the vehicle. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.Read more

On August 28, 2023, I purchased two Yokohama Avid Ascend LX BW tires, size 205/55R16. I was charged $209.19 for each tire, plus another $129.95 for a 4-wheel alignment. The total for the two tires and alignment was $549.16. I had these tires for a little over one month before this incident. On October 4, 2023, after driving about eight miles on the freeway at around 60 to 65 mph, I pulled off
... the freeway to buy gas. When I started to leave the gas station, I noticed my tire warning light was on. I got out of the car and noticed the left rear tire was low and going flat. I drove home (less than one mile) and called a towing service. The towing service did not arrive. So I sprayed canned air in the tire and drove to the tire shop. The tire shop person said the tire was not repairable and showed me a large hole in the tire tread with what looked like fraying around the hole. The person said he could not tell what caused the flat but suggested it may have been aggravated by heat. It was about 95 degrees outside. They put the spare on my car. I called the dealership where I bought the tire, and they said to take it to an affiliated dealership, which I did the following day. That dealership person took pictures of the tire but did not know what caused the flat. They said they would have to order a replacement tire, which did not arrive until October 6, 2023. They charged me another $36.16 to install the replacement. For the large price charged, these tires should have been durable, reliable, and trouble free. My efforts to contact Yokohama were returned “undeliverable.” I am concerned about the safety and reliability of these expensive tires. If these tires are affected by heat, they should not be sold in the western United States where the climate is often hot in the summer and fall months. Anyone selling such tires should issue a warning if they are affected by heat.Read more

This is a summary of 2 passenger side tire failures: First tire failure: On August 29, 2023 I packed up my Forest River Cherokee Black Label travel trailer in Perry, FL and relocated it to Tallahassee, FL. On the way to Tallahassee on Highway 27 maybe a mile east of Capps, Fl noticed some tire debris behind me in side mirrors. My girlfriend was following me, called and alerted me something appe
... ared to be wrong and tire and other debris was coming off the bottom right side of the coach. I was unable to pull over immediately due to traffic safety concerns and lack of side lane for parking. I was able to park at Hwy 19 to I-10 exit at Capps, where assessed the situation. The tire and rim was totally destroyed along with parts of the wheel well and skirt. I was able to install the spare wheel and continue to Tallahassee. Prior to moving the coach, I verified air pressure in all tires based on the side wall ratings using tire gauge and portable air compressor. My speed was between 45mph and 55mph. Second tire failure: This happened at Camping World repair shop around September 28, 2023. Tire failure was on the same side as the previous one, right side of coach. I was told the tire spontaneously exploded without any signs of tire failure prior. As far as I know, there were no changes in air pressure or modifications to the wheel. The wheel had been removed and inspected prior during axle maintenance. I was told immediately after the the incident, they reduced air pressures on the remaining wheels for safety concerns. Tires had no more than 2,000 miles and regularly checked inflation, travelling and parked. I bought the coach new in 2022 and never noticed any tire rot, bulging or other or damage. I’m not confident remaining tires or replacements using Castle Rock products are safe and I am having all 4 tires replaced with brand new steel belted "G" rated tires fro reputable MFG. These incidents have cost me thousands of dollars in repairs. I contacted LRead more

Primewell PS830 205/55/R16 - These tires were discontinued by the manufacturer one or two years ago and replaced with an upgraded tire because of tread skid and wear issues. He said he'd have the brakes "looked at." They weren't. The car consistently made skidding noises when braking. The dealer continued to tell me the brakes were fine and the tires were fine because they would never sell at car with unsafe tires. I also found a slit in the rear passenger sidewall. Took car to a reputable dealer. They found the tires with uneven wear and choppy condition. They also discovered rusted rotors. I'm recalling an incident I reported last year. GM refused to honor the service bulletin, and Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac in Kenosha, WI refused to work with Michelin. At 30,000 miles, I now hydroplane, and when I had my car serviced a few weeks before my warranty was set to expire, the dealership again refused to honor the prorate chart for the tires, and again tried to just sell me new ones. I pro
... vided a picture of one of the tires now, and you can clearly see how they have deteriorated. I IMPLORE YOU TO MAKE A FULL RECALL. GM IS CLEARLY AVOIDING THIS ISSUE, AND THEIR DEALERSHIPS WILL NOT WORK WITH MICHELIN TO CORRECT IT. Below is the original complaint. Tires are measuring low tread (4/32in) under 27,000. At under 25,000 miles on 6/17/2022, my vehicle experienced a blowout at low speed (approx 20mph), minutes after it had been parked. No pressure sensors were alarming until the blowout occurred. I have a case with Michelin, but the dealership won't contact them. I have a case with GM, but they will not honor the existing service bulletin [XXX] for ANY of the tires, stating it does not appear under my VIN. I'm fortunate this event occurred at low speed, but given the quality of these tires, I'm sure others have not been so lucky. I believe this to be a safety issue, not just a manufacturer defect. 235/45R18 94S M+S I originally purchased these tires because they were rated #2 on top 10 anti-hydroplaning lists. After driving them a bit I realized that the tire compound had excessive lack of grip on lightly wet surfaces and often on dry surfaces. So they may be good for anti
... -hydroplaning as long as the tree depth is deep, but the worst traction for dry or slightly wet surfaces for ANY tire I have ever driven. Going down slight downhills with a turn is extremely dangerous even at slow speeds. This morning I was going down a short street with a slight grade and a turn at the bottom when the car failed to turn and continued straight (like on ice). These tires (same on my wife's Mazda) have had traction problems since we bought and installed them. My wife's Mazda won't go up hills with turns on dry pavement and at slow speeds without losing traction. All tires on both vehicles have decent tread depth. This is a dangerous driving condition on uphill/w turns and especially on downhill/w turns. I believe the NTSB should do an investigation into car accident deaths occurring on graded hills with turns at the top or bottom of the inclinations. The tire in suspect is the Firestone Winterforce 2 tire. Please investigate this to possibly save lives. And if a high accident rate is found please have these tires recalled.Read more

We experienced our first tire blow out in July of 2023 while on a remote hwy in Oregon. We were travelling on a smooth wide road and all of sudden, there was a loud bang. We pulled over to find that there was approximately a 4" gash on the side wall of the front passenger tire. As Lucid does not equip their vehicles with spare tires, we required a long distance tow and tire replacement. Our mi
... leage on the vehicle, at the time was approx 3,500. Last night, Sept 29th, 2023, the vehicle's tire pressure gauge lit up and advised that tire pressure was low on the right front tire. This is the same tire that was replaced in July. The vehicle is currently at odometer reading of 6,057. It showed pressure of 37 psi when the other tires were set to 38 psi. Our plan was to take it in this morning for a tire pressure check but before we could make it home, the tire pressure reading came on again showing 37 on the front passenger tire and 0 on the on the back passenger tire suddenly. We had to leave the vehicle parked because it was after hours and we it needed to be towed but we wanted to be certain that it was towed to a tire repair center that would have the tire in stock. When we took the car in today, we were informed there was an air bulge on the front passenger tire as well and that both passenger tires required replacement. The tire shop informed us this is a repeated common problem with Lucids, especially those with the 21" profile tires. After some online research, we realize other Lucid owners are having to replace their tires frequently because they are forming air bubbles that later burst and cause flat tires. Not only is this dangerous, were the vehicle to be travelling at high speeds, but Lucid will not own the problem. We believe Lucid is well aware of this matter but refuses to acknowledge it or claim responsibility for it. It seems incredulous that 3 tires have needed to be replaced on this vehicle in 1 year and just over 6,000 miles.Read more

Tire size LT275 65 R20. Driving on Interstate Sunday September 24, 2023 the driver's side back tire blew out causing damage to the rim and side panel of the truck and bumper. We were pulling a 35 foot fifth wheel. We were able to successfully pull over to shoulder but had to wait over an hour for help. The blow out did do some damage to the fifth wheel also. Felt very unsafe until Georgia Champs a
... rrived behind our camper. Our truck had about 16,000 miles on it and the tires. Last October the passenger side rear went flat (12,000 miles on the tires) and were able to pull over before a blowout. There we were stuck for about 3 hours on an interstate and had to change the tire ourselves because couldn't get someone out and felt unsafe waiting any longer. Both tires were on rear of truck and the blowout left over $6000 damage according to the estimate not including damage to the RV.We had no warning alert on the truck and a Goodyear salesman said the tires were not defective. But, we did not run over any apparent road hazard. We felt unsafe and were lucky the blowout didn't cause us to lose control of the truck or RV. Seems hard to believe this can happen twice in less than a year with pretty new tires. We always inspect the tires and make sure the tires are properly inflated according to the truck specifications.Read more

While driving on the freeway at about 75 mph, the rear passenger tire exploded causing our driver to almost lose control of the vehicle before coming to a stop on the side of the road. No lamps or warnings were given. No inspections have been completed but I have retained the tire if needed.
