Tire is torn in the sidewall at the bead inside the rim edge. The tire had less than 10,000 miles on it and was installed on March 14th 2023, failing around [XXX] (around 9 months of use). It had been installed on a set of Chevrolet wheels before arriving at the dealership and that tire/wheel combo was installed on the Tahoe by Chevrolet in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The tire failure appeared
... to occur without provocation and failed on a 2.1 mile drive from the store home. The tire on the rim was mostly covered by the edge of the rim and it was very hard to spot visually. There was no damage to the rim, nor any reason the tire might have been lacerated by the rim. Upon dismount for replacement, the damage appears to be a tear or rip and does not appear to be puncture damage. The tire was replaced at Chevrolet and they noted that there was no reason for the damage (and charging us for the failure). The tire was then shipped to Bridgestone and was returned to the Chevrolet dealer and it was explained that they said, "it happens". The only warning lamp that illuminated was the TPMS low pressure warning as the tire quickly deflated. I still have the tire in my possession for inspection. My safety was put at risk because the tear occurred during normal driving and without provocation. Luckily we were in the neighborhood and speed was 25 mph. Had this happened on the interstate, the outcome could have been quite different. This was a Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02 275/50R22 111H M+S dated 5022. Thank you! I live in northern California near San Francisco, and we were traveling from Cottonwood, AZ back to our home. Back in June of 2023 we were traveling near Kingman, AZ and had the front passenger tire explode, almost losing control of the truck and trailer. We were at 19524 miles on the truck. At the time I thought that maybe I had hit something. But two months later I took the trailer to Carson Cit
... y, NV for work and just before I got into Reno the truck started to shake from side to side in the front and the next day I took it to a tire shop and they told me that the driver’s front tire was getting ready to come apart and I had only put about 800 miles on the truck since the first tire had exploded. This was when I realized the issue was the tires. I immediately had all 6 tires replaced. You can find a lot of bad comments about these tires on-line with comments like what happened to me. EXAMPLE [XXX] In response to your questions 1.I don’t have the tires that died just pictures. 2.After the blowout steering was difficult. 3.No Dealer confirmation. 4.No inspections. 5.Before the first tire exploded for about 20 miles I noticed a vibration in the front end. But just thought it was just the road. Tire Size - LT235/80R17 INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The PRINX tires and the dealer - Mavis Tires, Auburn Avenue, Columbus, Georgia, are equally to blame for the flat I had in traffic endangering myself and other motorists with Brand New Prinx Tires, and also the skid I had at an intersection in Columbus Georgia. ... n though my Mercedes C240 door panel sticker shows the brands Mercedes lists for safety as in climates averaging 39 degrees and above for traction size 225/50/16 has to be placed in the rear (205 only on the front) and I did by buying more tires I didn't need and that stopped the skidding. MAVIS also installed the Prinx tires pretending to have replaced the dry-rotted stems, I had a flat at an intersection endangering other drivers, my wheel was also damaged. I have replaced the other stems and the rear tires which did not fit and had poor traction, but MAVIS will not exchange with me for a proper fit. I think Mavis should be fined as they are endangering motorists by not replacing dry-rotted stems to pinch pennies and deliberately placing tires on the rear despite the door sticker warning for size and fit and brand. The Prinx tires are also low on the ground like a go-cart, making the car harder to maneuver. The Better Business Bureau has so many complaints against Mavis Tire, home office New York, that I didn't bother. This is for all four of the Continental Crosscontact LX Sport tires, size P 235/ 85 R18 with about 22,800 miles on them. These were the original tires that came with our 2020 Chevrolet Blazer. We took it to our locale Chevy dealership, they took a short look at the tires, and told us to have them replace
... d very soon. I started do research on new tires and also found out that Continental had put out a Voluntary tire recall there, this was for 93,959 of their passenger tires. But only certain mold dates and serial numbers were on this list. We had only one of our four tires on their list. All four tires had the same wear pattern, the outside tread of each tire had worn down to approximately 0.150", with the inside of tire tread at approximately 0.205". Probably near normal wear for a 22,800 mile tire. To me the malfunction was with the outside tire breaking down and becoming weak, causing the excessive wear and unstable driving experience, putting the car at risk of accident and all passengers in it. We replaced them with Goodyear Maxlife tires. One of the tires with the serial #[XXX] was on the recall list, Continental paid for it to be returned to them, and verified that it was on recall, they are to pay us for 1/2 of its life. Contacting them again, I told them again that all the tires had the same wear pattern. They then asked for the other 3 remaining tires to inspect. After they inspected the other 3 tires they have denied any other claims of defects on those tires. I do not have any tire to show you now, but Continental's records should show the tire wear as I have stated. Of the 3 tires, 2 of the tires not recalled were A3LM WD30 dated 08-20, serial #[XXX] and [XXX], and the third tire A3LM WD30 dated 12-20 with serial #[XXX]. I was informed that my motorcycle was affected by the CTA recall. I spoke with my local KTM dealer I bought my bike from that came with the tkc80 tires installed. They were unaware of how to proceed and said to call Continental tire directly. I did so, and the woman on the phone instructed me to buy replacement tires, and that the cost of the tires and installation would be reimbursed. I followed
... up by ordering replacement tires, getting them installed at my local KTM dealer, filling out the reimbursement form as requested by CTA and mailing it to them in October of 2023. Since then I have been emailed by CTA telling me the following: "Per the recall survey completed, these tires do not meet that requirement. Your tires production period is in 2017. The production period of the affected tires does not start in 2017. Due to this, we are unable to proceed because these tires are not under recall." I was not asked to fill out this 'recall survey' prior to ordering replacement tires and getting them installed. I explained this to CTA and they have just kept repeating that they will not proceed. The NHTSA website still shows my vin as affected and that the recall has not been completed. I simply want to be reimbursed for the replacement tires ($275.16) I was told to order and installation fee ($60) I was told would be reimbursed. This is for both front and rear TKC80 tires 120/90-18 90/90-21Read more

215/60/r16- replaced 6 tires all under 2500 miles of use. Have all receipts. The tires were always losing air even with being Brandy new, would slide with brand new tread and it did not have to be raining. I spent a lot of money on the tires to only go with a different brand finally after going to have to replace 4 more tires under the 2500 mark, yes I had the warranty for free replacement. But di
... scount tires deemed the Sentury touring tires a road hazard. I also have pictures of how they looked even with air in them. I purchased them from a discount tire store as well. They have all my documents on file to prove my statement. Sentury company needs to investigated on their tire quality as the tires could have caused blow outs and killed my family or myself or even another person. As you can see in the picture yes they are dirty, but plenty of tread. These tires are supposed to be reliable for 40k miles. These were either the second or 3rd replacement for this brand depending on what part of the car, either front or back. And again not even 2500 miles did they last.Read more
