Bridgestone Turanza Quiet Track Tires bought 2 April 2023, and 2 in July 2023 at Discount Tire.I has to replace all 4 today with than half (20,000) of the 80,000 mile tread wear. A ripoff and dangerous. I was notified by sales rep that Bridgestone knows these tires are not for the hot climate. I live in Conroe, Texas.

My five-month new Tesla Model Y tire blowout without any alert before it happened. The tire is original Pirelli Scorpion 255 / 45 / R19. Last week while I was driving at around 70 mph on a three-lane freeway. All of a sudden, I felt someone is dragging my wheels to the left. I was totally astonished. My first reaction was to hold my wheels. Within a few seconds I was totally out of control an
... d zigzagging lanes a couple of times before I finally slowed down and pulled my car over to the shoulder. I was in the middle lane and fortunately there’s no cars on my sides at that particular moment. With that speed and that short period, I couldn’t avoid to bump on others if there’s any nearby. I was lucky that it didn’t happen a little earlier on a bridge or a little late when I would be driving on a multiple-lane beltway with construction site in the median. Tesla roadside assistance came to put a new tire for me and cost me $600. I truly believe it is design issue. I’ve been driving more than 20 years and this was my first time with tire blowout. Not to mention it’s just five months new. I’m pretty sure there’s no any warning before it happened. While I was waiting for the assistance on the shoulder, there’s a small message on the screen saying the tire pressure is very low and pull over safely. I’m not sure when this message showed up. But at least I’m sure it didn’t show up 5 minutes ago before I drove on freeway as I couldn’t pay attention on the screen while driving on freeway with high speed. Tesla should give warnings vocally and visually before this dangerous situation happens. I tried to report this issue to Tesla but couldn’t find any email address to report. Tesla should be aware of and evaluate this issue to make the existing and future driver to be more comfortable and safer.Read more

The contact owns a 2023 Mini Cooper. The contact stated that since owning the vehicle, all four tires had been replaced several times due to each tire running flat. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where a mechanic informed the contact that the tire failure could be linked to the weight of the vehicle. The contact also stated that the vehicle failed to reach the full battery charge. The contact s
... tated that the battery took one to two days to fully charge, and once fully charged the battery failed to provide more than 100 miles of driving. In addition, an error message was displayed while attempting to recharge the battery at a fast-charging station. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. I purchased a new vehicle, 2016 Hyundai, from a local dealer, with a current mileage of 47,000. Hankook tires were OEM with the vehicle. I religiously bring my vehicle into the dealer for all maintenance, including rotating and balancing the tires every 3,000 miles. The first set of tires FAILED (less than 3/32) at approximately 23,000 miles. The dealer indicated that I need new tires and that t
... he tread wear failure was more than likely due to a defective set. So, they sold me another set of the same tire. I was in the dealer the other day for maintenance, oil change, tire rotation, etc. and was told that the new set of tires have 3/32 left on them and that I need a new set of tires. These tires have approximately 24,000 miles on them. The Hankook tires that I have are supposedly warranted for 70,000 miles. The tread failure at 24,000 miles means I have approximately 1/3 of the use - advertised warranty and actual life expectancy is fraud - it is no where close. It is a gimmick to prorate and hook the consumer into buying another set of tires. The dealer is trying to sell me, yet again, ANOTHER set of tires. At this point I have gone through TWO SETS of Hankook tires, within 47,000 miles. This is not normal. OEM tires on my Honda lasted twice as long before having to purchase a new set. Yet, the OEM and new set that I purchased are averaging 23,000 miles each, with a said warranty of 70,000 miles?Read more

Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure, LT265/70R18. On [XXX] at 113806 miles, I discovered that the driver's side front tire on the vehicle was flat in my driveway. Investigation revealed a puncture in the tread of the tire, caused by a gravel stone still lodged in the tire. Based on the amount of protrusion of the stone and the lack of any visible wear on it, I concluded that the stone must hav
... e originated in my gravel driveway when returning home the night before. The tire had been installed on 6/20/2023 at 104513.5 miles, being in service for 1 year and 9293 miles, not even 20% into its expected life. Initial assessment of the damage to the tire, including the puncture size and longitudinal shape, suggests that repair will not be feasible and the tire will require replacement. While a flat tire due to foreign objects is commonplace, the safety concern here is that a simple small stone from a gravel driveway should not have been able to cause the failure of a 'Kevlar reinforced' all-terrain truck tire. I believe the materials or construction of these tires may be defective and may have insufficient tensile strength in the tread material, causing them to yield and fail at much lower forces than are to be expected from tires in highway use. At any rate a well-packed gravel driveway that has been in use for many years should not be a challenge to the safety and performance of a truck tire rated for highway use. This tire failure comes less than a month and 1000 miles after a more dramatic and catastrophic failure of another tire of the same model on the same vehicle. While coincidence cannot be ruled out, two failures of the same model tire, both related to weak or defective tread sections, points to possible defects that should be investigated. Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure, LT275/70R18 Tire installed new on [XXX] at 79892 miles. Tires were properly maintained including proper inflation and rotated. At the time of failure, tire had been in service for 33 months and 32,853 miles, and had significant tread life remainin

The vehicle was brought to a controlled stop, the separated tread was retrieved from the roadway, and the spare tire was installed. The tire was replaced the following day. Given that the tire was only about 50-60% into its usable life and well within the 50,000 mile warranty, this failure was unexpected. Goodyear has not provided any method to contact them directly and instead referred me to local retailers who have been unable to process the warranty claim. A second, much newer tire of the same model on the same vehicle failed in a different manner just 3 weeks and 1000 miles later, causing me concern of structural or material defects with these tires. I purchased four Bridgestone Alenza AS Ultra tires (255 / 50R 19 107 W XL front and back) from Costco at 2700 Potomac Mill Circle, Woodbridge, VA on [XXX]. These tires were specifically for a 2009 Range Rover Sport HSE. The odometer reading was 105632 at the time of purchase, and the tires were installed on [XXX]. The present mileage as of today is 118233. However, after a mere 12,000 miles, all f
... our tires are cracked along the bead inside the tire, showing the threads/wire. The tires are all torn in the sidewall at the bead above the inside of the rim edge and are non-repairable. There was no damage to the rim, nor any reason the tire might have been lacerated by the rim. The tire failure appeared to have occurred without provocation, and Costco had just conducted maintenance in April 2024. The tires have an 80,000-mile warranty, so I wonder how all four tires have the same issue on the inside of the tire after only 12,000-mileage has been recorded; it has been only two years. If the tires had failed while driving, this could have been catastrophic for me and my family, which could have ended up in the vehicle losing control and possibly loss of life since all four tires are damaged. The only driving is taking my son to school and driving in the local area for food. I had a tire inspection done with Cosco Tire in April 2024, and Firestone identified this issue during a wheel alignment on all four tires in June 2024. I took the vehicle to NTB and had a mechanic look at it, and the only conclusion they stated was that these were defective tires. This could have been an improper service by Costco, which they said was not there back in April 2024. The only warnings I had were the illuminated lamp of the TPMS, the tire pressure monitoring system, and the low-pressure warning for the tire The vehicle was brought to Costco for two inspections regarding the TPMS, and all the TPMS on the tires were working correctly; they could not determine the cause of the lamp. THIS IS FOR TIRE SIZE P265 75 16. To start, I've seen multiple other complaints describing the same scenario and type of incident. Driving along the highway at appropriate speeds, I hear a whoosh/deep pitch rumble, then my vehicle began to vibrate violently. I was luckily able to pull over but had to swerve to regain control of my vehicle once the rumbling and vibration got too severe since it hap
... pened so quickly. Witnessed my driver side rear tire completely shredded, no damage along tread material, only on sidewall with multiple tears/punctures. This was a center lane on the highway with no debris. I'm now noticing other similar "tear/wear" signs on my other 3 tires on the vehicle. All specifically on the sidewall along the aggressive tread that the AT3W tires were known to have for extra grip. It just seems to be separating over time.Read more

Today, while driving on the freeway, the REAR Driver side Falken Wild Peak tire completely shredded nearly causing an accident (see attached photos). My husband-- was driving the vehicle and was able to pull to the side of the freeway and call for Emergency Services. The Sequoia did not hit any object while on the freeway. Also, the Toyota vehicle monitoring system (on both the vehicle and Toyota
... APP) did not alert for any low tire issues. Our 2024 Toyota Sequoia Limited 4W Off Road was purchased brand NEW from the --less than 2 months ago. At that time, the odometer was less than 10 miles. Not only did the complete blow out of this tire nearly cause an accident, but its incredible to believe that this could happen on a brand new tire with roughly 2700 miles. My husband was stranded in extreme heat at 110 degrees on an incredibly dangerous section of the freeway. We were forced to have the vehicle placed on a flat bed and taken to the nearest tire shop (see photo). The -- Tire shop is quoting us $319.00 to replace the tire and offering us a warranty policy on all 4 tires in case this happens again. This will cost $649.80 in total (see photo). This does not include the price of the towing services. We are frustrated that we just purchased this vehicle 2 months ago, and are already having to pay $649.80 on a BRAND NEW tire and additional warranty policies through another company. We have seen that there are 2 recalls on different sizes of the Falken WIldpeak A/T3W tire. I don’t see why this tire (FALKEN WILDPEAK AT3W SIZE 265/60/R20) could not also have a defect. We are asking that someone contact us about this matter. We don’t believe that we should have to pay to replace this tire and pay for outside warranties on a brand new 2024 Toyota Sequoia. We also have the entire tire with the rim in our garage (see photo). Discount Tires did not find any other puncture or damage to the outside of the tire. All of the damage is on the sidewall of the tire (see photo).Read more

245/35/R21, tire specifically made for Lucid. Small bump in road caused large bubble in sidewall. Lucid forums full of complaints about this. No replacement tires available in the US and no alternate available due to load rating. No promised time for more to be available. I had to borrow a loaner tire from lucid. I learned that Perilli is redesigning this tire with thicker sidewalls because of all
... the problems. No tire available until the new ones are available. Why wasn't this tire recalled for safety reasons? A bubble on a front tire is dangerous and the car should not be driven. Why is this not covered by a warrant replacement? A customer should not have to pay to replace a defective tire at the very least, they should prorate the cost based on miles driven. I'm filling this report because the situation is dangerous. If no replacement is available from Perilli or an alternate, owners are likely to continue driving with tire bubbles causing risk to themselves and othersRead more

A Shinko SE890 size 180-60-16 prematurely started coming apart at 3850 miles. My wife and I were riding 2 up on a Honda Goldwing. When we neared the end of the ride, the motorcycle started shaking violently. I kept control, and the others who were riding with me hel

Granted it was hot, and we had 390 lbs on the bike, which is not overloaded. The pressure was at 44 lbs, which was probaly due to the heat. Chapparal tire in San Bernadino Ca recieved pictures and commentary. Initially they said They would warrant the tire, then 2 days later said it was because of a road hazard. I know I hit nothing with the tire. I wanted money back not another Shink tire. These tires are not well made and on a motorcycle very dangerousRead more
