Concerning Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunner AT P275/65/20 tires that came stock with my 2022 GMC Sierra 2500HD, which currently has 42,000 miles on it. While driving a round trip of no more than 30 miles the evening of 11/29/24, I noticed a slight repetative jaring motion, which I initially attributed to a potential transmission issue. The bump rapidly worsened halfway though the drive. Upon inspect
... ion at the time, I could not see any visible damage to the tire. However, the issue escalated aggressively during my return home, resulting in the tire blowing out and detreading entirely. This failure caused significant damage to the body of my truck, amounting to an estimated $3,500 in repair costs. I believe this incident is due to a defect in the tire, as such occurrences are highly uncommon and unexpected from a product of your reputation. I have oil changes as recommended by the trucks service maunual and with ample tread left on the tire and good scores of inspection it begs the question on how a tire could fail so abruptly. I have 3 other tires with ample tread which should last at least another 10k miles but I'm gravely concerned with continued use of them for fear another blowout could cause a fatal accident.Read more

My truck has the death wobble for the second time. I took it to Red McCombs Ford in San Antonio, Texas and they charged me to fix what is an inherently bad design flaw in the F350 that I own. The wobble stopped and has now reappeared. The death wobble is real. I want it fixed for free or I want Ford to buy my truck for top dollar.

The contact's grandson owns a 2022 Dodge Charger. The contact's grandson stated that while changing lanes at an undisclosed speed and making a turn into a right lane; the rear driver-side tire had lost traction and the vehicle had spun out and crashed into the sidewalk, over a curb, and into a street sign where it came to a stop. The vehicle was also inspected by the grandson's mother prior to the
... failure where the vehicle was spun out at a lower speed. The contact stated that while the grandson was driving the failure may had happened because the vehicle was automatically switched into AWD mode and was set in rear wheel drive. A police report was filed however, was not available. The vehicle was not deemed a total loss and was towed to a local dealer for further repairs. Upon further investigation, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V808000 (Tires) and NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V504000 (Tires), however the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.Read more
