Yokohama Avid (front x2) 4UT76EX1623 and (rear x2) 4UT7EX1723 225/40R18 while the Passenger Front (4UT76EX1623) tire completely blew out the sidewall after third party inspection all 4 tires on my New 2024 Subaru Impreza are failing per the tire technician "after inspection it appears that all four tires show significant premature tire wear on the vehicle". Alignment preformed April 10, 2025 by DC
... H Subaru of Riverside and again alignment and suspension were checked the day after blowout of tire on July 28,2025 by American Tire Depot " no issue found with the vehicles suspension and alignment is within specs at this time". I was driving on a mountain road approximately 25 MPH when blowout occurred. Significant POP sound heard and vehicle TPS system immediately alerted us that the tire pressure dropped to 0. Tires had been maintaining tire pressure well before the incident. The "significant premature tire wear" is indicated by a noticeable crack that appears around the sidewall of all four tires as well as the steel cord showing significantly along the inner wall of the tire that blew out. This was only visible after removing the flat tire to apply the spare.Read more

While driving the RV at highway speeds, I noticed a lot of vibration and shaking. I pulled into a tire store to have the tires balanced. They found the left front tire (hankook dynapro ht 205/75/r16) with tread separation. I had it replaced with the spare. I had 27,400 miles on the tire with 7 32nds of tread left.

Front driver side tire sidewall bubbled at 7900 miles on a 2024 Subaru Impreza on June 22nd. They are the original equipment tires: Yokohama Advan S34P P225/40R18 88V. A sidewall bubble is a sign of a structural failure and indicates the tire will eventually blow out. This can lead to loss of control as well as sending debris towards other road users. No warnings or tire pressure changes occurred.
... There was no impact, only normal highway driving prior to the damage. The damage was not present prior to 300 mile road trip, but was present upon arrival at our destination. The problem was immediately reported to Capitaland Subaru who the vehicle is leased from. Initially they refused to let me bring it in. Eventually they did get me an appointment for June 30th, and they allegedly inspected the tire at that time. They told me to keep driving on it until the warranty replacement was approved. A warranty case was never opened by the dealer. 17 days later, I received a call from the dealer saying I must open the case with Yokohama myself. The vehicle comes with a sealed kit of owner's documents and booklets including tire warranty information, but it contains Goodyear and Bridgestone warranty info and not Yokohama, which is the OEM tire on Subaru Imprezas. I had no info on my warranty nor a guide on how to submit such a claim. After searching online, I did so and gave the case number to the dealer, but I have not gotten any notification since. It has been well over a month and I've logged over 1300 miles on the damaged tire. The car now has significant vibration coming through the steering wheel as of 7/30/25. Dealer was supposed to provide a loaner but did not. The manager has made no attempt to address the issue. A complaint has been filed with Subaru corporate as well.Read more

Subject: Tire Safety Concern – BMW OEM Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season (UTQG 500) 245 50 R19 I am writing to raise a serious vehicle safety concern involving the BMW OEM Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season tires that came factory-installed on my leased 2022 BMW X3. These tires are labeled with a UTQG 500 treadwear rating, which typically implies a lifespan of 40,000 to 50,000 miles. Yet, all four of
... my tires were found to be severely worn and unsafe at just 23,456 miles. More troubling, I began experiencing significant handling and traction issues as early as 18,000 miles. During normal driving—without aggressive braking, cornering, or high-speed use—the car exhibited: Hydroplaning in moderate rain Slipping and sliding under light acceleration Noticeable vibration and poor stability on dry roads These symptoms were initially confusing until a routine service appointment at Motorwerks BMW in Bloomington, MN revealed that all four tires were nearly bald and posed a safety risk. The dealership confirmed the tread depth was between 1 and 2 mm—well below the safe limit—and told me, alarmingly, that this level of premature failure is typical for this tire. This raises two critical safety issues: The tires were functionally unsafe well before 20,000 miles, long before I was aware of the degradation. The UTQG 500 label creates a false sense of security. A consumer would not expect traction loss or hydroplaning risks within the first 18,000–20,000 miles of normal use from a 500-rated tire. I have since learned that this OEM tire, while labeled identically to the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus sold at retail, is actually a different tire made specifically for BMW. It carries no treadwear warranty, despite its 500 label, and reportedly has never been separately tested to confirm its rating. Both BMW and Pirelli have pointed fingers at each other, offering no solution or responsibility—leaving consumers with unsafe tires and no remedy. I urge NHTSA to investigate this issue.Read more

Purchased my 2013 Chevy Equinox from certified Chevrolet dealer in 2023. All 4 of my tires are: Michelin Latitude Tour M+S (Radial X Green), P235/55 R18. DOT M33J 007X 3012. These are the same tires that were on my SUV at time of purchase & are still on it. Upon purchasing from the dealership, the tires appeared somewhat cracked around the outside walls & where the tread meets the tires. Not bei
... ng sure how to read all info on tires, I only went by the thickness of the tread, which was great & I didn't question the cracks too much. In the fall of 2024, took my SUV in to have the oil & filters changed, tires rotated, etc, as yearly maintenance. Was made aware at that time by the mechanic that the tread & side walls on the Michelin P235/55 R18 were becoming deeply cracked & I should plan on looking to replace the tires for safety reasons as soon as possible. I don't do a lot of driving, except for around town, so I figured I'll replace them sometime within the next year. I'm now in "the next year". It's 2025 & I've noticed over the last 4-5 months, I am losing air frequently from all the tires & am making biweekly trips to the gas station air pumps. In the past 2-3 months the cracks have increased significantly & now I'm afraid to fill to the recommended air pressure. I think these tires are quite dangerous in the way they seem to be breaking apart. My plan is to get them replaced as soon as I'm financially able. My SUV, only had about 36,000 miles on it when I bought it in 2023. Now it only has 42,000. I don't understand how these tires could be in such bad condition with such awesome, thick tread. I've found an awful lot of complaints re: these specific Michelin Latitude Tour Tires breaking/splitting apart. I don't understand why these specific tires haven't been recalled. There's an incredible danger in driving with these faulty tires. I'm surprised there's been no reported accidents. I'm now afraid to drive much at all, until I can get them replaced.Read more

The failure occurred in the sidewalls of the two factory‑supplied all‑season tires on the passenger‑side (front and rear) of my 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. Both tires exhibit pronounced bulges on the outer sidewall of the front passenger tire. Tire size is 255/45 R20 105V M+S The rear OEM tire was replaced on February 10, 2025 and front OEM tire (with DOT codes visible) remain mounted on the v
... ehicle, but I must replace it to keep the vehicle operational. I noticed the bulging of the second tire today, July 29, 2025. Sidewall bulges indicate internal cord separation. A sudden loss of air pressure or blowout—especially at highway speeds—could result in rapid vehicle instability, loss of control, and a potentially serious crash, endangering occupants and other road users. No, the problem has yet to be inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance or others. However there is mounting conserns and simular reports of the same problem occurring with other owners of 2024 Hyundai SantaFes with the same OEM tire. No warning lamps, messages or other symptons prior to the problem occuring. There has been no off‑road use, curb impacts, overloading, or manufacturing advisories at the time of discovery. My best assessment is a potential manufacturing or design defect in the OEM tire sidewall construction causing premature internal separation under normal use.Read more

... ire is marked with a "B" speed rating (max speed of 31mph). Additionally, the tire is labeled "E-Moped Style," and stamped "moped" with an e-bike sizing (20 x 4.0). Visually identical tires are sold online at various outlets (Amazon, E-bay) for "e-mopeds" or e-bikes. This is a safety issue because, per the rating stamped on this tire, the tire is rated for a maximum speed of 31mph, less than 50% of the speed the motorcycle is capable of. Solar motors claims that CST tells them the tire has an "internal specification" such that the tire is rated for 70mph (the exact max. speed of my bike without safety margin). Even if this were true, the stamped "B" speed rating would lead someone in finding a replacement tire to match this specification and thus install an underrated ("B" rated) tire. The dealer (Solar Motors) claims to be checking with their suppler (CST Tire) to confirm an "internal specification" that is different than the "B" speed rating marked on the tire. In our communication over several weeks, Solar only tells me they will continue to confirm aspects of this tire classification with their rim and tire manufacturer, and inform the public of this on they website (although they have not done so over the past 6 days). Solar has not indicated any intention to directly inform those customers who currently own motorcycles with the CST Scout 33B tire in question. Solar confirms this tire was only sold with their carbon fiber wheels. No one else has inspected the tire. I’m reporting a recurring safety issue with the Pirelli Scorpion All Season MS tires (255/45 R20) factory-installed on my 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy. This problem appears to be common: I’ve found numerous reports of Scorpion MS tires showing early failure, poor balance, bulging, and premature/uneven wear — all within low mileage. They stated that it was still an inherent issue with the tires and I would need new ones. Thus I requested to have a different set tires given the issues with these. These issues compromise the vehicle’s stability and may present a serious hazard in wet or winter conditions. I’m concerned these tires are not structurally reliable and should not be standard on family SUVs like the Santa Fe. Hyundai and Pirelli should investigate this tire line for potential safety defects or recall. I understand that it is the Scorpion MS, AS Plus 3 and the Verde with these similar issues. Unfortuneately for some reason your site won't let me post my photo, but I was able to file it under the same VIN under my report for the Santa Fe.Read more

I went to Firestone in 2023 about my tire recalled and they claimed there was no recalled. I went again on July 5th, 2025 to changed all my tires but three of them were the tire mentioned. If the firestone agent in 2023 told me there is no recall even with documentation and once again in July 2025 I was told the same thing .I will use the tires but during all this time I experience holes, changed valves and replacement one but it costed me money. P20565R16 all four tires. These tires from Bridgestone have a UTQG rating of 640 A A with a "warranty" by the manufacture of 75,000 miles. The current set of tires on my car have approximately 18,000 miles and are very worn. The tire wear gauge reads 5/32 reaming tread. I doubt that the next 3/32 (5/32 - 2/32) will give me the remaining 57,000 miles. I buy my tires based on the UTQG rating. I
... t's a good indicator of tire wear and has been fairly reliable up to this point. I Googled the tire to see if others have similar experience. The answer was YES. It appears that Bridgestone has a problem with tire wear on these tires. Reviews all pointed to terrible tire wear. Sadly, My wife's car had Firestone tires that we just replaced. Those had only 22,000 miles, but had a 600 UTQG rating. It appears that Firestone /Bridgestone do not know how tear wear works. First time in my life I was this disappointed in a tire company, but Firestone certainly had it's share of problems in the past. Someone needs to do an evaluation of Firestone tire rating practice. For me, it's too late. Thanks.Read more

Tires have 3k miles . For the past 2 weeks, we have had a slow leak. Must refill air every 3 days. Spent one day at Tire Kingdom, but they could not detect anything. Then the Acura Dealer says there is a leak, but can't find it. We have no choice but to purchase a new tire. This is wrong - th I am retired on a fixed income and must buy a tire for a 3-month-old vehicle!

I purchased a used Pirelli Scorpion Strada 255/55R18 109V tire (DOT code 1UN L4W990 4221) for my SUV. When I returned home from the installation, the tire appeared normal. However, the next morning—within 24 hours of installation—I began driving for work when my car suddenly started shaking violently and pulling hard to the right while on the freeway around 3 AM. I was able to safely exit the
... freeway and pull over. Upon inspection, I discovered that the tire had been shredded by the road—the sidewall had catastrophically failed, and the inner structure had separated. The tire had good tread and showed no signs of damage before the incident. This was a sudden and dangerous failure that placed me at serious risk of losing control of the vehicle. It occurred under normal driving conditions at moderate freeway speed. There were no prior warning signs, dashboard messages, or visible damage. The tire was manufactured in October 2021 at Pirelli’s Rome, Georgia plant. The failure appears consistent with belt separation or internal delamination. The damaged tire has been preserved and is available for inspection. I believe this tire may be part of a defective batch and am reporting this for safety investigation. There are similar complaints online regarding Pirelli tires made in this timeframe.Read more
