Tires on this Winnebago EKKO 23B 2025 model year, purchased in April 2024 are the original tires, never removed or repaired. These tires are Hankook Dynapro AT2X all terrain tires, size LT215/85R/16. These tires have only 10,600 miles and from the photos you can see the tread is in excellent condition. The tires have a TPMS that showed accurrate recommended PSI before our trip from New Hampshire
... . Road conditions were clear, temperature in the mid-70s on Saturday, October 4th. We had traveled only 117 miles when the rear outside dual tire on the passenger side failed. No warning. A side wall blow out (see photos). We were able to pull into a gas station in Williston VT. Tire technician from local Town Fair Tire changed the tire to the spare and confirmed an unusual side wall blow out as pictured. All tires on this motorhome are the original and identical tires, with the exception of the driver's side rear outside dual tire which was replaced with an identical tire after the failure I reported in April of this year (VOQ#11657901). There were no warning sounds or TPMS signals before this most recent failure or the earlier one in April 2024.Read more

On 10/7/25, the passenger side front tire malfunctioned - I currently have the tire. On 9/7/25, the drivers side rear tire malfunctioned - I no longer have that tire but I have included the receipt for the new tire I had to purchase. On 9/7/25, I was driving alone on the Florida Turnpike at night and in the rain, when the rear drivers side tire blew and was completely destroyed with multiple hol
... es in the sidewall. Fortunately I was able to maintain control of the car, but I was stuck on the side of the highway until a Florida Road Ranger came to assist. The problem was reproduced on the morning of 10/7 when I found my passenger side front tire flat with a split sidewall. I am scheduled to take the car to the Lexus service department on 10/8/25 for inspection. The front passenger tire does not feel like rubber, it can be described as a mix of cardboard and plastic. On the evening of 9/7/25, when the rear drivers side tire blew, there was little warning, the low tire pressure warning light came on and I felt the flat tire in less than one minute. I purchased this new 2025 Lexus GX 550 in March of 2025 from JM Lexus in South Florida and these were the original tires. The car currently has 9,766 miles on it and used for commuting to work and running errands. [XXX] PT5A, 265 /55 R 20. ... nce it already had a sidewall patch and the same patch had a leak again. After some research, I found it was illegal to sell and install sidewall patched tires in Texas, since it is unsafe to drive with such tires. (A failed patch on the sidewall dramatically increases the risk of a sudden and catastrophic tire blowout, Most professional tire shops will refuse to repair sidewall damage because of the significant safety risk and liability involved) A common criterion for an unsafe used tire is one that "has a repair to the tire in the tread shoulder, sidewall, bead area or belt edge area." On Oct 6, 2025, I went to the tire shop to ask for a refund or to replace other safer used tires. But the owner refused to do any, and even refused to admit that his tire is a sidewall patched tire, saying it is safe to use and legal to sell. I am writing this letter to complain that this business unlawful and unethical practice puts people's lives in danger. Texas Transportation Code Sec. 547.612 [XXX] “(f) Except as otherwise provided by this subsection, a person who owns or operates a business that installs tires on motor vehicles or an employee of the person may not knowingly install an unsafe tire on a motor vehicle to be used on a public street or highway.” INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

On September 18, 2025, while driving at ~65–70 mph on the Saw Mill Parkway in Mount Kisco, NY, a Michelin Latitude Tour HP tire (235/55R19) suffered a sudden circumferential tread/belt separation.
