A truck frame should outlast the engine and the body. I plan to keep the truck for 400,00 miles and my finances are very tight. Toyota is penalizing me because the frame didn't rust out sooner and on Toyotas time frame.Read more

The rear shocks have failed multiple times on my vehicle. The original shocks failed under 50k miles. I had them replaced on February 14 with OEM shocks at the dealership. The replacement rear driver side shock began leaking last week, approximately 6.5 months after install. It is currently available for inspection upon request. Without properly working shocks, the car is more difficult to contro

The new problem is self diagnosed, but is very evident when looking at part and surrounding area (fluid leaking from the shock and dirtying the surrounding parts). The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or other parties. There were no symptoms of the problem prior to failure.Read more

On multiple occasions during travel, We have had cargo doors and the main entry door open when going down the road. We have been fortunate that we have noticed the door flying open, to where we can quickly stop before losing any cargo. Because these are cargo doors, we carry cargo in these compartments. When the door flies open, there is a huge risk of cargo flying out of the vehicle and creating
... a hazard for oncoming motorists (flying through the air or upon the roadway). We have adjusted the latches on these doors to no avail. we get them to where they work and hold fine, then will start coming open again. We believe based on other evidence (missing sidewall lag bolts, loose sidewall lag bolts, bent sidewall lag bolts, popping sounds when raising or lowering unit, broken slide mechanisms, excessive sawdust on the inside of the vehicle, doors on internal cabinets unable to be opened due to interference, millwork trim falling off) that there is a frame failure or suspension issue with this vehicle causing excessive flex. These issues pose a life safety risk to any person traveling on a roadway.Read more

I am writing regarding a recent incident regarding the left front control arm of our 2004 CTS Cadillac. There was a recall for the lower control arm ball nut/washer attaching the control arm, which could lead to disengagement of the control arm, disengagement of the wheel and tire, and possible crash. We purchased the car in 2015. The Cadillac Service Center in Beverly Hills confirmed that they h
... ave records showing the car was inspected, and the recalled piece replaced in 2006. The dealer at that time was named Martin Cadillac. The night of [XXX], my son was driving the CTS on the freeway at about 50 mph, when the front left tire and wheel suddenly twisted out of place and rendered the car undrivable. Fortunately, he was not injured or worse, but he was stranded in the middle of a busy freeway for more than 30 minutes until AAA arrived. The car was then towed to our home and towed to our mechanic the following day. The repair needed and done was to replace the left front control arm, precisely the area noted in the recall notice. Also, it was necessary to repair the undercarriage that was damaged by the dislocated wheel and tire. The left front fender was also damaged by the action of the detached tire and wheel. The total repair cost we paid was $793.13 for the control arm and undercarriage. We are not currently driving the car, as we are concerned that the car is still unsafe. The subframe has developed extensive rust and corrosion, which I believe is a result of faulty manufacturing. ... y messages so I got an attorney in December 2023 for the rattling noise my car has made almost the entire time ive had it. -Bought in May, 2023 -Heard the noise and put it in the shop for a pre-vacation inspection to fix what was going on before me, my 2 small kids, and my husband drove to Florida. Seemed weird to have such a new car in the shop already with noise safety concerns. -Been back and forth to dealerships more times than I should have to...a couple times theyve had my car for 3 weeks at a time. Everytime I have to unload/load carseats when i drop off and then unload/load back up when i get my car only to find it hasnt been fixed. -My attorney acts like he is at the complete mercy of the manufacturer for a resolution and this lemon case has gone on for 9 months now. -i need a safe, reliable car and for this process to be resolved in a more timely matter. I am currently at a Jeep dealership now becasue again, I will be traveling this weekend with my kids in the car even though I am uneasy about doing so but I cant stop living but it seems unfair and like no one cares that we are driving around in a car that no one can fix or that I paid a lot of money for a reallllly noisey car that I have to take back and forth to the shop a million times and worry and stress about if it going to cause a crash while im driving down the highway.Read more

Vehicle began having issues around 60,000 miles. Stutters and slips between 2nd and 3rd gear. When on an incline the issue is much more prevalent. On a steep incline, the vehicle is like lurching it is so prevalent and it feels as though the vehicle is going to give up. Around 45 mph, the vehicle begins vibrating; as speeds increase, the shaking (left to right) becomes increasingly violent. At
... times, it feels as though the vehicle is going to shake off the road. The issues I primarily when accelerating, and when the gas pedal is released, the shaking slows almost to a stop. Tires, balance, and alignment checked multiple times over the course of the issue and tires are changed seasonally. Took to dealership multiple times to be told there was no issue with the vehicle and it was operating properly. Just over 100k miles, back at the dealership and there is suddenly an issue found. Was told at dealership that passenger side front axle inner race is damaged and needs replaced. Took vehicle to local mechanic since dealership had jerked us around so much over the issues, not repairing, keeping car for extended amounts of time without a loaner vehicle, etc. Local mechanic did a lot of research. This is a common complaint of the Telluride and Kia is aware but is not doing anything about it. Mechanics recreated issue immedately said rear driveshaft had movement it shouldn't and replaced. They also serviced the transfer case and transmission. There is a TSB issued on this, but research suggests that it is not resolving the problems and kia dealerships are not acknowledging the issue until out of warranty and TSB doesn't cover the repairs even though it is faulty manufacturing.Read more

It has only 17,083 miles on it and the 50,000 mile stock Pirelli run flat tires are cording and coming apart at the interior of the tire. The vehicle has had recommended tire rotations every year at 5,000 to 6,000 mi. They have advised there is a MAJOR factory alignment issue causing the front tires to lean in
... at the top resulting in very abnormal wear to the interior of the tires. We have photo proof of our 2021 Durango with the alignment issue versus our 2018 Durango without it. We notified Dodge of this safety issue especially since they have three brand new Durangos for sale with this same issue. We were unaware of this issue until the tires started coming apart since this was a brand new car and factory alignment should not be set to destroy tires. We filed claim# [XXX] with Chrysler and they denied our claim to assist us with aligning the vehicle and replacing the tires and also showed refused to correct the issue for future customers purchasing their vehicles. We are currently in a battle with our local dealership HW Hunter Dodge (Lancaster, CA) to have the tires replaced and alignment issues corrected yet they are also refusing to help or be liable for the alignment problem on our vehicle and other vehicles they have sold or will be selling. This poses a serious safety hazard for anyone who has purchased a 2021 or newer Durango R/T, SRT, and SRT Hellcat which all have this camber issue at the top of the both front tires. Eventually, someone will experience a massive tire failure with their family in the vehicle and will either be seriously hurt if not worse. A recall should be issued for this problem immediately and replacement of damaged tires but both Dodge and Chrysler will not take any liability nor help with even looking into the issue.
