In August of 2025 I purchased a Chevy MD 5500 from Paul Masse, Inc., in RI. From the time of delivery the truck had a serious shake while operating. Paul Masse, Inc., told me that the tires had flat spots from sitting on the lot prior to purchase. As time went on the dealership placed two new sets of tires on the truck. Neither set fixed the shaking. Paul Masse, Inc., told me that this was how the
... truck operates and that there was nothing that they could do about it. I continued to contact the dealership for further examination of the vehicle for months with no response. I eventually sent a claim into the RI Dealer Commissioners' office. The commission acknowledged my claim and reached out to Paul Masse, Inc. Paul Masse, Inc., agreed to have their Executive VP, Bob Masse take the vehicle for a ride with me to see what was going on. After driving the truck with Bob Masse, he agreed to bring the truck in for further review. I dropped the truck off a day later, Bob Masse called me after his mechanics looked the vehicle over and told me that they would not be able to fix the truck, but they would offer a buyback if I agreed to take a new truck. I agreed to take the new truck. I had to finance a whole new truck, paying for more insurance, sales and registration taxes. The day I took delivery of the new truck it drove exactly as the old truck drove. In addition to the truck shaking like the old truck, the check engine light was on. I immediately called the Bob Masse, Bob told me to drop the truck off and they would have a look at it. After I dropped the truck off to the dealership, they had it for five days. Bob Masse had called me to say that the check engine light had been repaired, but they were waiting on new tires to come in, as they thought the shaking was once again from "Flat Spots" on the tires. Two days later I was notified from the service department that the truck was ready for pickup. There were no new tires on the truck. Bob Masse said no new tires.Read more

Per a factory recall — NTSB has ordered the following recall; Manufacturer Recall Number D027 NHTSA Recall Number 25V-514 Recall Status Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available Summary A concern has been identified on certain 2014 and all 2015 to 2017 ModelYear Range Rover (L405) and Range Rover Sport (L494) vehicles where thefront suspension upper knuckle joint could develop a crack. In extr
... emecases this may lead to detachment of the upper suspension arm. Safety Risk In extreme cases where a crack in the front suspension knuckle has developed, this may lead to detachment of the upper suspension arm, which under extreme avoidance maneuver use conditions may compromise the vehicle's controllability and increase the risk of a crash. This has been identified by independent mechanics as well, as a SEVERE safety concern. When this vehicle was taken to Hennessy Land Rover of north atlanta; they advised me that “they didn’t have parts for the recall”. Although they explained to me if I paid out of pocket for the work they had the parts to do the task. Service advisor is Peter Alvarez. SO THEY DON’T HAVE THE PARTS FOR AN NTSB RECALL? UNLESS I HAVE $6000/$7000 For a recall with a “SEVERE SAFETY RISK”? THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. THESE PEOPLE SELL $120,000 TRUCKS AND THEN REFUSE TO UNDERTAKE GOVERNMENT MANDATED RECALLS. THEIR EXCUSE IS “WE HAVE THE PARTS BUT ONLY IF YOU BUY THEM”. This is totally unacceptable. I have a wife and a small child who ride in this SUV and have owned the car for 7 of its 9 years on the road. Always immaculately maintained If HENNESSY LAND ROVER (NORTH ATLANTA) refuses to perform government mandated recalls they should not be doing business. In early November 2025, while towing our 2024 Grand Design Momentum 344M M-Class fifth wheel toy hauler to a family Thanksgiving gathering, the rearmost driver-side leaf spring fractured and failed during travel. The trailer was towed by a 2024 Ram 3500 dually, properly rated for this unit, operated within all load ratings, and driven at normal cautious speeds at the time of failure. The failure r
... endered the trailer immobile and unsafe to move. It has remained in storage since the incident because the damaged suspension cannot support safe relocation. A leaf spring is a primary suspension component that is not customer-serviceable and not owner-maintained. The remaining leaf springs on the unit were inspected and are in good condition, indicating the failure was isolated to the defective spring rather than a result of abnormal use, overloading, or environmental exposure affecting the suspension system as a whole. This points to a manufacturing defect in the failed component. The trailer was purchased new from an authorized dealer (Blue Compass RV) in October 2024. The spring failed only weeks after the one-year factory warranty expired, at an extremely low service age for a primary structural suspension component. Safety concern: This failure happened at low speed, allowing a controlled stop without incident. Had it occurred at highway speed, likely consequences include sudden loss of trailer stability, axle and tire damage from the collapsed corner, trailer sway or jackknife, tire blowout, and potential loss of control of the tow vehicle. A loaded fifth wheel toy hauler of this size presents a severe hazard to occupants and surrounding motorists if suspension fails at speed. I am filing this report so NHTSA can track potential defect trends on Grand Design Momentum fifth wheels. Other owners of this model and model year may be at similar risk. Photographs, VIN, purchase documentation, and manufacturer correspondence available on request.Read more

I bought a 2023 Honda Civic Sport from Carvana four months ago. Ever since I bought the car I have been experiencing sticky steering and rattling in the front of my car. As far as I can tell from all of my research online this is a KNOWN issue with my vehicle, but there is no re

That’s an astronomical amount of money for someone to pay, when 1.6 Million vehicles are experiencing the same issue. I don’t have $4k laying around to just drop to replace my steering rack. There is also an ongoing lawsuit against Honda, for the issues with their steering racks. I experienced a complete failure of the rear pneumatic (air) suspension system on my vehicle. This system uses rubber air springs (“airbags”) rather than conventional coil springs. When it failed, the rear of the vehicle dropped significantly, causing metal-to-metal contact, an extreme upward pitch of the front end, and pronounced instability. The vehicle became difficult to control, with exce
... ssive rear sway creating an unsafe driving condition. Based on my experience and publicly available information, this appears to be a known and recurring issue affecting BMW X5 and X6 models (E70, F15, and G05). The failure is commonly attributed to degradation of the rubber air springs, which can dry out, crack, or leak. When leaks develop, the compressor runs excessively and may fail, resulting in sudden loss of suspension support. While these components may be considered wear items, the frequency and relatively early occurrence of these failures suggest a design or engineering vulnerability rather than typical maintenance. Failures are widely reported between approximately 50,000 and 100,000 miles or within 4–7 years, indicating a pattern of premature degradation. This condition can occur without clear warning, including after the vehicle has been parked, meaning drivers may not recognize the issue until the vehicle is unsafe to operate. Once the system fails, handling is severely compromised, increasing the risk of loss of control. Repair costs often exceed $5,000, which may discourage timely repairs and leave vehicles in unsafe condition. BMW characterized this as a maintenance issue despite the apparent pattern. I am submitting this complaint because this condition poses a serious safety risk. A sudden loss of rear suspension support at speed could result in loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash, injury, or fatality.Read more

The right rear coil spring on my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee dislodged and ejected from its mounted position while the vehicle was parked. The spring did not break; it came out intact. This vehicle previously had Recall 64A performed to address a rear coil spring-related safety issue. ... the recall remedy, indicating a potential improper repair or incomplete resolution of the defect. The fact that the spring ejected while the vehicle was stationary raises serious concerns about improper installation or inadequate retention of the component. The incident also caused (or may have caused) damage to surrounding suspension components, which are currently being inspected. This complaint is being submitted as a recall remedy failure involving a safety-critical component. My 2022 Model Y Performance developed severe front-left inner shoulder tire wear caused by a suspension alignment defect. On 4/7/2026 at 57,974 miles, Les Schwab diagnosed excessive shoulder wear due to alignment issue, deemed the tires unsafe, and required a liability waiver before I could leave (WO #XXX). I drove to Tesla Portland. Tesla’s own ExpressAlign check confirmed the front toe was out
... of spec, with multiple values flagged red on their equipment. The left front toe was the most severe, matching the wear pattern Les Schwab diagnosed that morning. Tesla charged me $1,874 for four new tires but did NOT perform a corrective alignment. Their own post-install report shows front toe STILL flagged red (left front toe slightly worse than before). They released the car on new tires with alignment still out of tolerance. I had paid Tesla for an alignment in Feb 2025 at 33,261 miles to prevent uneven wear. It failed within 24,713 miles with no suspension impacts or damage. The specific inner shoulder wear pattern, validated independently by both Les Schwab and Tesla on the same day, is consistent with the documented suspension geometry defect in 2020-2024 Model Y vehicles. I request NHTSA consider expanding the scope of recall 21V-835 (Tesla SB-21-31-003), which addressed front suspension lateral link issues on 2019-2021 Model 3/Y, to include 2022+ Model Y vehicles exhibiting the same alignment geometry failure. This is a safety hazard. Les Schwab required a liability waiver. I replaced all four tires as a safety necessity to transport my children. On [XXX], I was driving my Rivian R1S on [XXX] in the far left lane at highway speed on a smooth, straight road when I suddenly and completely lost control of the vehicle without warning. The vehicle swerved right, struck a vehicle in the middle lane, then veered left, spun, and collided head-on with the guardrail on the right side of the road. I was evaluated at the scene by EMT. There were no w
... arning lamps, messages, or any symptoms of any kind prior to the failure. The loss of control was instantaneous and without any prior indication of a problem. Review of video footage captured by the vehicle's own cameras clearly shows the rear driver-side toe link failing and the rear wheel moving in a manner inconsistent with normal operation immediately prior to loss of control. At the scene, the rear driver-side wheel was visibly sitting at an abnormal angle, inconsistent with normal alignment, and the toe link bolt was visibly absent from its mounting location. The vehicle is currently being preserved as evidence and is available for inspection. The mounting location where the toe link bolt should be seated is visible and available for examination. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by Rivian, a dealer, or any independent service center. I am aware that Rivian issued NHTSA recall 26V003 on January 8, 2026, covering 2022-2025 R1T and R1S vehicles for this exact defect — rear toe link joint separation while driving, which increases the risk of a crash without prior warning. Rivian acknowledged awareness of at least one prior crash related to this defect prior to the recall filing. Subject: Safety Complaint – 2024 Honda Prologue – Clicking Noise When Turning (Possible CV Axle Defect) I am submitting a safety complaint regarding my 2024 Honda Prologue Touring due to a persistent clicking noise when turning, which appears to be related to the front axle or CV joint. Vehicle Information: Year: 2024 Make: Honda Model: Prologue Touring Mileage:10300 VIN: [XXX] Description
... of Issue: The vehicle produces a noticeable clicking/popping noise when turning left or right, especially at low speeds such as in parking lots or during tight turns. The noise is consistent and reproducible. The issue appears to originate from the front axle/drivetrain area and raises concern about potential failure of a critical drivetrain component. Safety Concern: This defect may indicate premature wear or failure of the CV joint or axle assembly. A failure of this component while driving could result in loss of power to the wheels and create a dangerous driving condition, increasing the risk of an accident. Dealer Response: I brought the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership. The dealer acknowledged the issue but stated that no repair or fix is currently available and advised me to contact Honda directly. The issue remains unresolved. Additional Notes: Based on my research, multiple other owners are experiencing similar issues with the same vehicle, suggesting this may be a widespread defect rather than an isolated incident. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue as a potential safety defect affecting the 2024 Honda Prologue. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Vehicle suffered a catastrophic drivetrain lock-up while traveling at approximately 25 mph. The rear wheels physically halted, creating an immediate loss of control and safety hazard. Upon inspection, the Rear Drive Unit (RDU) was found to have a failed pinion bearing/internal gear failure, resulting in dual fluid leaks. This is a REMEDY FAILURE related to Safety Recall 23S55 (NHTSA Campaign #23V
... 675000). The vehicle underwent the 23S55 recall repair 90 days prior (Jan 2026). The internal failure is a direct consequence of latent fatigue and stress placed on the RDU pinion and housing due to the defective axle mounting bolts and subframe bushings addressed in the recall. Furthermore, the vehicle is within the coverage window of Ford Customer Satisfaction Program 24N01 (10-year/150,000-mile extension for Rear Axle Bolt and Housing). The dealer (Hertrich Ford) and Ford Corporate Case Management (ASO Case #XXX) have refused to authorize an Administrative Rental or acknowledge the related damage, leaving the owner in a hazardous financial and logistical situation. The failure involves the rear suspension system, specifically suspected rear control arm / suspension linkage play, which caused severe misalignment (rear toe out of specification). The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This defect created a significant safety risk. The abnormal toe condition caused rapid and uneven tire wear, with both rear tires becoming nearly completely bald w
... ithin less than 7,000 miles. This condition increases the risk of tire blowout, loss of traction, and potential loss of control at highway speeds. The issue has been confirmed by an independent service center (Les Schwab), which documented suspension play in the rear control arm area and alignment out of specification (rear toe approximately +1.20° total). The alignment could not be maintained, indicating an underlying mechanical issue. Tesla inspected the vehicle but stated that no suspension components required replacement and attributed the issue only to alignment. However, alignment does not go out of specification without a mechanical cause. Despite multiple requests, Tesla refused to provide detailed documentation regarding the inspection or repair of the suspension system. They replaced only one rear tire and did not address the root cause. The other rear tire had already worn completely bald. After approximately 5,386 miles, the replacement tire has again worn down close to the minimum safety limit, demonstrating that the underlying issue was not corrected and continues to affect vehicle safety. There were no warning lights or system messages prior to the failure. The first symptoms were abnormal tire wear, increased energy consumption, and unstable driving behavior at highway speeds, which began shortly after vehicle purchase. This appears to be a repeat safety-related defect that has not been properly diagnosed or repaired.Read more

I am reporting unresolved safety recalls and unreasonable delay in repair for my 2023 Ford Bronco (VIN: [XXX] ). This vehicle currently has two open safety recalls issued by Ford Motor Company • NHTSA Recall 25V721 (issued October 2025) – seat frame defect that may increase injury risk in a crash. There is currently no available remedy, and Ford has notified me that a repair is
... not expected until April 2027. • NHTSA Recall 26V124 (issued March 2026) – APIM defect that may overheat and cause the rearview camera to fail while reversing, increasing crash risk. In addition, this vehicle has had prior recalls (25V025 and 25V273) that remained unresolved for extended periods. One of these recalls had no available repair for approximately 10 months. These recalls affect critical safety systems including suspension, rear visibility, and seat safety. The delay for Recall 25V721 is expected to exceed 18 months, which I believe is an unreasonable delay for a safety recall repair. Ford has continued issuing new recalls while prior recalls were still unresolved, indicating a pattern of repeated safety defects and delayed remedies. Due to these active recalls, I have been unable to use my vehicle commercially. Rental platforms such as Turo prohibit listing vehicles with open safety recalls. This has resulted in financial losses exceeding $80,000. This situation forces consumers to choose between operating a vehicle with known safety defects or suffering significant financial loss due to lack of repair availability. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether Ford is complying with its obligation to provide timely safety recall remedies and whether delays of this length are reasonable. While traveling to Abilene Tx to see my doctor my check engine light came on. I pulled into the Hyundai dealership and ask the service advisor to plug into my vehicle and let me know what was going on. After he talked to his service manager he advised me that they "where to busy" and the earliest they could get me in would be the next Monday. This was Wednesday. My home is 100 miles from Abilene.
... I asked if he thought it would be alright and he said sure. I barely made it back to Big Spring before it started clinking and cluttering. It sound horrible. My son said it sounded like it through a rod. He checked the oil and said that I had low oil however my low oil light did not come on. I notified the dealership and was advised that I had to have it towed back to the shop in Abilene which I did. After a week passed I was in Abilene and stopped to check on my vehicle. Needless to say my repairs are in excess of 20K. New engine etc. and rear suspension is out also. After researching I have found I'm not the only owner with these problems. There are numerous complaints about these problems with the Palisade. This is a danger to all who own this vehicle. Fires, accidents and no telling what can affect us. All these vehicles need to be recalled because of the engine that was placed in these vehicles. The engine is eating oil fast. My oil changes were on time. Hyundai and the dealership are unwilling to offer any help in repairing my vehicle. The parts on the suspension are sub standard. I can't believe they are called the #1 SUV in America! Buyers need to be aware of the substandard parts and engine. They also need to be aware the Hyundai doesn't stand behind their product or the dealership either for that matter. I shutter to think of who I could've been on the side of the road with a blown on fire engine. I'm thankful I made it home before the vehicle cratered.Read more

When Tpms light comes on, all safety features including cruise control become disabled. Lane assist and collision safety features become disabled. On top of that, I have had Honda look at my rear end after they replaced a rear upper control arm after being in a ditch and at 246,000 current miles, I have replaced my tires 16 times due to the rear tires ripping the tread off between 10-15k. If ther
... e was nothing else wrong, why have I spent between $10,000-$15,000 miles on tires? I have had numerous alignments at Honda and elsewhere. Marion Honda claims it’s normal! I was told I can put adjustable control arms on. I have met other Honda accord sport 1.5t owners with 50k miles on one set of tires, yet I can’t get more than 15k on the rear tires. Clearly something is bent or incorrect currently I am re replacing the upper control arm.. They say the alignment rack does not flag anything. I have bought between Goodyear, Michelin, and Pirelli tires they also replaced a turbo, only for a few months later to have a pressure problem that Findlay Honda found I was missing an oring in the turbo or intercooler. How? Orings do not call out. Fast forward 18 months and another bad turbo on this lemon!Read more

Hello, We have owned this vehicle since new. Today it has 28,945 miles. We started hearing a clunking sound from the front left side. We subsequently stopped and verified the suspension and discovered the broken front right suspension spring. Very disappointing to know that a suspension spring would brake at such low mileage. Our internet search found that we are not the only one with such a signi

Squeaking (lubrication failure) of the front suspension components, prematurely, are a common and widespread issue with Tesla vehicles. I have approximately 60k miles on my model Y and the front control arms are making noises. Tesla wants to replace a significant amount of suspension components at a high cost, instead of a recall (or creating serviceable lubrication points on these components)

We were stopped at a stoplight. As soon as we stepped on the gas pedal, there was a loud clunk sound and plastic parts started flying out from under the car. We immediately pulled over. Oil was spilling out everywhere. The transmission oil pump was laying on the inside of the engine compartment. We had towed to Toyota. They diagnosed a bent piston went through engine which also caused a hole in th
... e transmission. I had it towed for a 2nd opinion. Neither toyota or the 2nd opinion had ever seen anything like it. My mechanic also said there are a bunch of other suspension parts that were damaged due to the violent stop of the engine. There are a few of the same incidents online in chat rooms. The car is totalled and we are out of a car now.Read more

Description: My 2025 Ford Bronco suffered a catastrophic failure of both rear shock absorver external reservoirs, consistent with Recall 25S01 (NHTSA 25V025). The reservoirs detached intirely while driving out-of-state, forcing an 800-mile transit with 5 passengers on an unstable suspension. Issue: Upon presenting the vehicle to Interstate Ford, the dealer and a Ford Representative issued a form
... al denial of warranty coverage. They cited Claim Type 14, Condition Code 39 ("Missing Part"). Why it's a Safet Risk: Ford is using the severity of the defect - the fact that the part sepearated - as a reason to deny the repair, even though Recall 25S01 explicitly warns that the defect causes "seperation fo the external reservoir." This is a refusal to remedy a known safety defect that has already caused a hazardous driving condition.Read more

I contacted Subaru in Mentor Oh at adventure subaru under TSB 19V065000 and was told to take it in to get looked at, my issue when I purchased the car at 67k miles i found that the car had a loud clunky sound while steering and going over bumps. After seeing the dealer and the stated the issue was from the steer rack and was exactly what was described exactly in the TSB but the only thing was they
... did not see a visible crack, the repair was denied. I then took the car to another dealer near Beavercreek oh after calling Subaru of America Case # [XXX]. Subaru of America was very certain that the repair was going to get performed. After going to the dealer it was yet again denied again, now it is outside the TSB warranty window. The car has had the entire suspension repaired and the noise is so bad and the steering doesn’t feel right. The car literally is unsafe to drive, i owe money to my loan company for 540 a month, the car just sits in the garage. I am sick of getting put through this nightmare. I want the part replaced or to get out of the loan completely and return the car to Subaru or the bank. Please help i have ran out of ideas. I do lots of driving and dying in a car accident scares me to death. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
