Front suspension axel system failed two bolts fell off left wheel arm causing me to lose control of vehicle. I was in the vehicle with my children I was driving out my mothers driveway less than 5mph when the incident occurred I do not even want to imagine what could have happened if I was driving the vehicle on a high way or at a high speed. Tesla representatives I have spoke to over the phone
... have said them selves this is common and I have read multiple articles online this is a safety issue if this happens on a highway this would and could cause fatalities. The vehicle did not prompt any warnings or messages. Prior to this incident occurring I reached out to Tesla because vehicle had been making a clicking noise and the soonest appointment they had available was not until January. The vehicle has been towed to Tesla Van Nuys CA and two different tow truck companies did not want to be involved so Tesla road side had to do the tow all 3 tow truck drivers agreed this is definitely a safety issue and common issue with TESLA this needs to be recalled.Read more

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Defective Arnott Front Air Strut To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a significant safety concern regarding a defective Arnott FL front air strut purchased via RockAuto for my 2016 Audi S6 (VIN: [XXX] ). The air strut failed within five days of professional installation. This failure compromised the safety and functionality of my vehicle's
... suspension system, potentially risking further damage and endangering passengers. I was forced to drive the vehicle briefly in this compromised state to arrange for reinstallation, creating an additional safety hazard. Details of the issue: Product: Arnott FL Front Air Strut (purchased via RockAuto). Professional Installation Dates: October 25, 2024, and reinstallation due to failure on November 27, 2024. Failure Description: The air strut lost functionality within five days of installation, causing a significant drop in vehicle height and inability to maintain proper suspension. This defect demonstrates a failure of Arnott’s quality control and has left me concerned about the safety of their products, particularly when they play a critical role in vehicle performance and passenger safety. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this matter to ensure no systemic issues with Arnott's products compromise the safety of other drivers. I have attached supporting documentation, including invoices for installation, reinstallation, and further details on the defective part. Thank you for your attention to this urgent safety matter. I look forward to your acknowledgment and any updates regarding this investigation. Additionally, I cannot locate a replacement frame for this vehicle through Toyota or the aftermarket, leaving no practical solution to address the safety risks. The refusal to honor the recall and the lack of available replacement parts put me and others at significant risk. The problem has been confirmed by the Toyota dealership during inspection, and the rust damage makes the vehicle structurally unsound. This vehicle has been making a noise in the front left side since new (day one). The vehicle has been taken to the dealership about 10 times in attempt to fix this issue. If they disconnect the electrical plug of the motor mounts all the noises are gone. Consequently

They understand that Jeep needs to redesign the motor mounts and update the software the controls the engine motor mounts. I know a few owners of the same vehicle that have the same issue. Jeep knows about it but doesn't do anything to redesign these parts in order to correct the design flaw. I can provide copy of the communications with Jeep if required.Read more

We the dealership technician had the vehicle for a repair, he was driving it back-and-forth to work like he owned the car and one day He was leaving his home to go to work and the suspension failed so that had to be fixed and that was back on one of the many time it was in the shop. The stop/start engine doesn’t engage for me when I break for me. For me to get it to engage I have to slam on
... the break as if I was bracing for an accident and then the stop/star engine mode will engage. I think this vehicle has had five clusters replaced in the car, due to the parking sensors, side warning sensors not working. I believe the fifth one went in Dec 2024 once again. The vehicle was in the shop from November 22, 2024 until yesterday DecemberI 2, 2024 when I picked it up. I got home and the parking sensors didn’t beep off and I could’ve crashed it into my garage door and I went through the system and it was already selected to beep but didn’t, then I started getting a message saying that the side warning sensors are unavailable. I put it in reverse it tells me the wipers are off, so maybe all the clusters that they’re making are faulty. The Jeep Retention Customer Service even sent a specialist, technician assistant to the dealership twice or three times to deal with this issue and it’s still not fixed. The dealership Service Center has put in request for answers of how to fix these problems and have had to wait weeks for answers because they don’t know the answers of how to fix the problems with these vehicles and they send a specialist and still the problems still occur they say put in a new cluster a new cluster gets put in the problem still happens. The part is shipped directly from a manufacturer and they have no ETA on that part and my car would still be in the shop, but the Jeep Retention Customer Service Rep had it expedited but the problem is still ongoing. On [XXX], our 2021 Tesla Model Y had a catastrophic suspension failure while driving in live traffic. The car came to a sudden stop, the front suspension was loose and the vehicle was not drivable. We had the vehicle towed to the nearest Testa service center in Burlingame, CA. Tesla service center inspected the car and found that the lower lateral links in the front suspension had failed due to tw
... o critical suspension bolts falling out. One bolt had completely fallen out and the other had became dangerously loose and was about to fall out. The bolt failures led to a catastrophic failure of the front suspension and the vehicle became undrivable in live traffic. This is a low mileage vehicle with ~29,500 miles and there was no operator error or use that would cause a catastrophic bolt failure in the lower lateral links. Images of the issue from Tesla service center show that the bolts simply fell out after not being sufficiently fastened from the manufacturer. After Tesla service center identified the problem, we researched this issue and found an extremely relevant NHTSA recall for 2020-2021 Model Y vehicles that matches the exact suspension issue that occurred to us (21V-835 / SB-21-31-003 Recall). Our Model Y was built in November 2020, which is within the affected date range of this Recall, and our issue exactly matches this Recall. Tesla service center employees agreed this Recall seemed relevant and investigated. After a couple of days, Tesla service center contacted us and claimed that while the our catastrophic suspension issue looked very similar to the Recall issue mentioned above, our specific VIN was not listed in the Recall. Therefore, Tesla service center refused to repair the failure under warranty or recall and we were stuck with massive repair bill to fix a clear manufacturer defect that is already known and has been recalled. We are not sure why our VIN was not captured in Recall, but have been affected by the same dangerous issue. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (Read more

I purchased a new 2024 Ford F-150 on August 31, 2024, and just six weeks later, on October 19, 2024, the entire left front suspension failed while I was driving at 50-55 MPH. The truck suddenly and unexpectedly took a hard left and I nearly lost control of the vehicle. It was incredibly difficult to maintain control of the truck as it swerved dangerously, but I managed to guide it to the shoulder
... and called for a tow to the dealership where I bought it. I discovered the left front tire and rim had detached and the entire front suspension pulled out of the truck. The left front tire was positioned sideways under the truck. My concern is there's potential issues stemming from what appears to be a failure to properly torque the top control arm at the factory that are being covered up. I was told that Ford recalled some Rangers and Broncos after it was discovered the nut on the left upper control arm was either missing or not properly torqued in the plant. To my knowledge there has not been a recall on the F150 models. If the incident had occurred on the interstate or while meeting an oncoming vehicle, I have no doubt there would have been serious injuries or fatalities involved. The were no warning signs or symptoms prior to the incident occurring. The truck remained at the dealership in repair until November 20th.Read more

Case #: [XXX] ] I have a 2016 Cadillac SRX (VIN: [XXX] ) that I have owned for 8 years. Throughout this period, I have encountered some minor issues that were easily remedied. ... : part number 20842710. Furthermore, I was told that this part number has been discontinued and no longer available. I contacted Cadillac customer care and spoke to customer service rep Alegra 866-790-5600 at extension 5918222 and she gave me a list of suppliers who may have this part. Again, I was told that this part was discontinued. The parts department had to go to the aftermarket to see if they could locate this part. It was found on eBay. I was told that the part could be installed but there is NO guarantee that it would work. I was left with no choice but to have the part installed knowing that I would be driving an unsafe vehicle that could malfunction at any time. As stated earlier this vehicle is about 8 years and what I do not understand is why Cadillac would stop production on such a critical part that could cause physical harm to its passengers. In doing some investigating I found the Cadillac Forum in which other owners experience the same problem. I have owned 4 Cadillacs over the last 9 years and for the most part I have been very happy with their performance. It appears to me that Cadillac should take some responsibility and compensate me for not producing a safe vehicle to drive. The trade in value according to Kelley Blue. Book is $14,000 and therefore, I should be reimbursed accordingly On December 12, 2024, I received a phone call from Scranton Motors advising me that the part that they had received from eBay did not work. This Toyota Tundra, equipped with the specially designed air bag rear suspension, for towing, is incapable of towing anything on U.S. roads, particularly U.S, Interstates crossing our country... where a very large portion of these interstates are rutted, like a washboard, caused by over-weight trucks and the weather... and these rutted or rippled interstate roads last sometimes for hundreds of mil
... es at a time... from western Ohio to Montana, easily 75% of the roads are in this condition. The truck is a complete hazard, and extremely dangerous to the driver and anyone else on the highway. It is dangerous to the highest degree and should not be allowed on any U.S. highway. The rear airbag suspension is controlled by a computer, this computer constantly levels the truck, and there is no way to over-ride this system/computer program. So, the truck is constantly trying to level itself. Note, this adaptive air-bag suspension is sold by Toyota as the ultimate towing machine, six years in Toyota design... yet, it is totally incapable of towing on U.S. highways, unless, of course, the roads are new and black top and totally smooth. So, this is what happens, every time the truck hits a bump, the computer tries to level the truck... when towing a trailer, in this case a 30 foot Airstream, the tounge weight is 950 pounds — so with every bump the tounge of the trailer slams down 950 pounds on the back of the truck, and the truck desperately tries to level itself. This creates some sort of synergistic response between the truck and the trailer, and the truck and the trailer start rocking back in forth in a very violent manner, and when you let off the gas and slow down, it becomes even more violent, and extremely difficult to keep on the road and in your lane... not to say, what it does to the driver, who is slammed around the cabin. This suspension was clearly designed on a computer, and never road-tested on U.S. highways and interstates in the north... It is a disaster.Read more

I purchased the Certified Pre-Own 2021 Honda CRV on August 26, 2024. I took it to the Honda Dealership which we purchased it to inspect a noise coming from the passenger front wheel-well. Upon the inspection they noticed the passenger Strut Tower had split open at the weld seam. The Honda dealer claims its due to hitting a pothole and a driver issue. An independent mechanic indicated that does
... n't hold true, since there is no damage to the tire, rim, shock absorber or strut along with the car being in alignment. I showed pictures to a master welder who indicated it looked like a failed weld seam. The car is inoperable in the current state given driving it could cause the strut to pierce the hood. On December 12/2/24 I reached out the American Honda Motor Inc, who then put me in touch with a case manager on 12/3 at which time I filed a failed part claim. They responded on 12/6/24 that the claim was denied. I ask for written confirmation of the decision, which they replied they don't provide written Commnication.Read more

My Acura ILX 2020 has less than 40.000 miles and has a mechanical problem that can not be fixed and it is dangerous for my self and others. In my opinion this is related to the stearing of the car and it is very dagerous knowing that you take your car to be repair and the dealer does not know how to fix it. It makes clicking noise when turning. It is a rattling type noise coming from what sounds
... like the front, right side of the car. I usually hear it over little bumps but as the day goes on the noise gets louder and the bumps do not have to be that big. I'm not a car technical person, but any type of noise coming from my car is concerning. Other people feedback "I've been to the dealership on three occasions to try to fix the problem. On two of the occasions I was put in an ILX loaner with the exact same noise. " It does matter of what parts is gets change the car keeps making a rattling type noise coming from what sounds like the front. Please refer to this web site for more testimonies of the on going problem with the steering system of the Acura ILX cars, specially my Acura the ILX 2020 model. https://acurazine.com/forums/ilx-382/ilx-suspension-noise-869859/Read more

The electric controlled coupling failed and as a result, the AWD failed. There is vibration when turning and driving 25 mph. The grinding noise remained after I got new brakes and I was told it’s from the coupling trying to power the AWD. I took my 2016 QX60 to the dealer and also to a foreign car auto shop and they both confirmed it needs to be replaced. When the coupling is unplugged, the nois

Recently had routine service done on my 2010 Toyota Tacoma. Mechanic noted a lot of corrosion of the frame, including where leaf springs and axles are connected.
