I am experiencing upper deck frame flex which our manufacturer has unsuccessfully attempted to repair twice (Nov 2021 and Oct 2024). The manufacturer refuses to accept responsibility for our safety concerns and has ceased all remaining repair attempts which was communicated to us through emails. This excessive flex causes my cargo doors to open while traveling, damage to the supporting frame stru
... ctures (frame cracks throughout), and the attaching king pin that no longer supports the weight of our RV as evidenced by the 1 inch drop when hooking our RV up to the tow vehicle. Multiple repair attempts have been made by the manufacture at the manufacturer's facilities however, each attempt has failed and is simply weakening the already weakened frame. The manufacturer has extended the warranty to its consumer base however, my contention is this is merely "optics" given their refusal to apply a "permanent" fix to our RV that IS currently under their extended warranty.Read more

The following is copy of an email sent to JEEP CEO in November and then again in January. I have not received a response. I have also sent an email to the dealer. I ask NHTSA to look into Dear Mr. [XXX] : I would like your assistance in a major issue I am having with my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sport. I have contacted the dealer (Airpark Jeep- [XXX] ) and your corporate customer service department w
... ith both saying they are unable to help me. As I am sure you know, social media has a lot of information on what is referred to as the Jeep Death Wobble- A problem with the stabilizer bar. My jeep has this issue and it hits mostly at highway speeds causing the entire jeep to shake violently until the jeep settles down. This is now happening too many times and there is nothing the driver can do, but hold tight on the wheel and hope the shaking doesn't cause an accident. I can not believe this was not addressed via a safety recall! This problem has the potential in my opinion to lead to serious injury or death of passengers in the jeep and others nearby! I will be turning the jeep in at the end of February and I assume the dealer will have to fix the problem (I am told it takes a couple hours to replace the stabilizer bar), before the vehicle is sold as a used jeep. To allow this condition to exist is inexcusable by both Jeep HQ and the local Jeep dealer. Because this has been a known issue and Jeep and your dealers have done nothing to resolve this problem, I will not simply go away. I and other jeep owners are owed something more than "We can't help". I have owned two CJ-7s, one Grand Cherokee, and now my Wrangler Sport. As part of a Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team, I am required to have a solid 4-wheel drive vehicle. Based on this experience and a few other issues that were not resolved, I will now consider purchasing the Ford Bronco instead. I would like the courtesy of a response please. In Dec 2024, I began to hear a noise under the car. I dropped off the car for the recall and to see if they could figure out the issue. Recall was completed and no issue found after blowing out the dust shield around the brakes. 1 week later, the problem came back sounding a little different. We found a plug in the aluminum pan under the car. After removing it, the original noise returned (may not
... have been noticeable because the other sound was louder). I took it back to the dealership. They could not find anything specific, but tightened up something in the front end suspension. The noise came back 30 miles later. So I took it to a different dealership last week. They found that the splash cover was missing a screw. So that must be it right? No 5 minutes after I left, the sound returned. Tuesday 2/4 I took the car back. After a longer inspection, they determined that the sway bar links were bad on both sides. So they replaced them. The car ran okay for the 1st day or so. I heard a couple squeaks but I just figured it had something to do with the replacement parts. As of today, the noise has returned as it was before. As others have reported here and elsewhere online, my Prologue emergency braking/collision detection system repeatedly activates when there is no danger of a collision. Backing out of my driveway I can expect that 25-50% of the time the car will slam on the brakes for no reason and apply the parking brake, which I then have to disengage manually to continue backing out. More recently, I was drivin
... g 30 mph on a city street with no one in front of me when without warning the Prologue slammed to a complete stop. Fortunately no one was behind me or I almost certainly would have been rear-ended. After four months of owning the Prologue, and seeing this exact problem reported over and over again, it's evident the entire electronics system is glitchy at best and downright dangerous at worst. Everything from the crash-avoidance cameras (regularly issues messages that they're blocked when they're obviously not) to the remote starter (supposed to come on with two quick presses of a button on the fob, but often takes a dozen or more to actually activate) is borderline non-functional. Whether this is a software or a hardware problem, or some combination thereof, there's no question in my mind that sooner or later, as more of these vehicles are on the road, one of these malfunctions is going to cause a crash. I hope the NHTSA will see enough of a quorum of similar complaints to investigate before that happens. For my part, I've turned off all driver assist systems in my Prologue, which is the only way I can be assured the car will only brake when it should. Additionally, again as many others have reported, my Prologue knocks somewhere in the vicinity of the front axle whenever I corner sharply enough in either direction.Read more

Rear fenders are rusted such that wiring harness falls off from underside if fenders and rubs on tires. The lift only crunched about halfway through near the middle of the frame. That was the point when the tech
... nician noticed the truck was lifting unevenly and making a crunching sound when he started trying to lift it. He left the truck as it was - with two wheels on the floor and two wheels about an inch off the floor He hollered for th shop supervisor to look at, who came and got me in the waiting room to show me what happened. The dealership could not repair the frame, but said there was a welding shop a couple of miles away down a back road in Zachow, WI where I could safely drive to if I went really slow. I don't know when the frame started rusting or the date the dealer's hydraulic lift broke through the frame. The truck's rear fenders were starting to significantly rust when it was about 3-4 years old. It was purchased new. I don't know how badly the frame had rusted at that time. I'm fairly certain the truck had less that 100,000 miles on it when the dealer found that the frame was rusted through. It's 22 years old now and was bought new in 2003. It has 147,000 miles on it today. Assuming that the miles/year were roughly the same at 6,682, and the tail lights started acting "funny" (the reason we brought the truck to the dealership),happened the year after we bought our new 2013 Lund boat (2014), that would put the mileage on the truck at 73,502.
