This is a 2022 Jeep wrangler sport with 40K miles on it. It was bought brand new. We are experiencing what is called the "Death Wobble" where the suspension parts give out and create a severe wobble in the front suspension and steering of the vehicle at highway speeds. The 2019 Jeep had a recall on this problem as well.

The front steering knuckle on the passenger side broke causing the wheel to detach. There was loss of control of the car however I was in town and the speed was below 25 mph. Thankfully the vehicle was stopped before anyone was hurt. I had an independent service center examine the SUV and found the knuckle to be broken. The vehicle is available for inspection. There were no warning lights prio
... r to the accident. The SUV is serviced during a yearly inspection per state requirements with the last appointment at Range Rover in December. There were no warnings to alert myself (owner) or the dealership when inspected on a regular basis. If the knuckle would have broken five minutes prior, I would have been in a serious car accident as I was traveling 65 mph on the highway.Read more

Jayco/Entegra builds the Granite Ridge/Condor (same RV, just different brand names) on a Ford Transit chassis. Jayco upfits the Transit with a 2" lift that includes a Hellwig rear sway bar. The sway bar is connected to the chassis with a link (a steel rod.) The link is being installed incorrectly, resulting in complete detachment of the sway bar from the link, defeating the purpose of the sway bar
... . Because the sway bar is important to the stability of the vehicle, failure of the sway bar can result in excess body roll of the vehicle in high winds or when turning, potentially leading to a roll-over accident. The upper end of the link is connected to the vehicle chassis by a bolt that attaches to the frame of the vehicle. The lower end of the link connects to the sway bar by use of a bolt, some bushings and a nut. Jayco is failing to install the lower nut or is installing it in such a way that it becomes detached from the bolt. Jayco has acknowledged that their installation is incorrect. In their email to me, dated 2/17/2025, they admitted to me: "Good afternoon [XXX] , The original problem was the installer was leaving the Ford washer on & putting another washer that was in the rear stabilizer kit (too many washers). There should only be 1 washer & than the lock nut, tightened to 52 ft. lbs. & the threads of the bolt should extend through the locking nut. As of current there has been no bulletin released yet. Wayne Wigner Customer Service Specialists" Even though they have known about the problem since at least September, 2024, they have yet to offer a correction. They also continue to sell new vehicles that have not been corrected! In a recent poll of owners on Facebook, 20 out of 26 owners reported their sway bar nuts were missing! I have repeatedly asked Jayco to offer a remedy ASAP as this is a dangerous condition. One concern I think most of us owners have is that Jayco will require us to bring our RVs to a dealer, which could delay repairs by months. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INRead more

Two weeks I had my model Y serviced for shaking of the car and steering wheel. They deemed the cause of the shaking due to unalignment of the wheels and they claimed to have fixed the issue. After receiving the car for the week after it began to make a sound of something hitting every time I made a U turn or any time I turned the wheel. While driving 3/8 with my family in the car I made a U turn i
... n a parking lot and heard the same loud sound of hitting. When I went to check two large approximately 3 inch bolts were on the ground but no nuts in sight and my control arm broke the bottom plate and was completely unattached from the car. Thankfully the bolts came off while in a parking lot and not 20 minutes prior when I was driving on a windy road. Within 24hours Tesla contacted me saying my car was ready for pickup without any explanation of why the bolts came off, No full inspection completed for other issues and no alignment of the tires. Under the Tesla mechanic notes they only reinstalled the bolts and tightened the front wheels and not the back. Upon further research online I have found numerous other people complaining of the same issue of the bolts for the control arm falling off on Model Y and 3 Teslas due to forgetting to weld the bolt nuts to the sub frame.Read more

My 2016 Range Rover has been identified in a recall for knuckle which may crack without warning leading to catastrophic failure of the vehicle which could result in injury or death of passengers. I learned of the recall in December of 2024 at which time I discontinued driving the vehicle and contacted Land Rover Rocklin to request replacement of the recalled parts. In acknowledgement of the fa

On March 5 I was notified that Land Rover Corporate might not agree to reimburse the dealer for rental expenses while I wait for the defective/recalled parts to be replaced so I was asked to trade in the rental car for a loaner vehicle from the dealership. I agreed to make this exchange. While en route to complete this vehicle exchange I was told by Land Rover Rocklin that I would need to return the rental vehicle to Avis and that they would not be providing me with a dealership loaner car per our original agreement. They further instructed me to collect and drive home my unrepaired, vehicle which had been established for the last two months it sat I their shop as "unsafe to drive." I refused this arrangement and told the dealer they needed to fulfill their agreement with me by providing me with a safe vehicle to drive while I wait for the repairs to be completed according to the recall. I contacted Land Rover Corporate to complain that my vehicle had been unavailable for nearly three months because it was deemed unsafe to drive and to complain that corporate is not taking care of its customers by providing reimbursement to dealers to ensure affected Range Rover owners have safe transportation until the recall repair work is completed. Land Rover stated they have no obligation to provide safe vehicles for affected owners and they are recommending owners drive their unrepaired vehicles despite catastrophic failure risk. I owned a 2017 Dodge Challenger which had electrical issues and a defective Uconnect radio system. A few months after purchasing the 2019 Dodge Challenger, I experienced electrical issues. The westbury service department blew my alternator servicing while replacing the radiator and fixing the electrical issue with Uconnect. The driver's side window would not roll down. It was stuck down in 2021. The door panel switches were replaced. The door issue was not resolved. I randomly remained locked out of the vehicle. I complained that the heat would turn on randomly inside of the vehicle. My headlights stopped working twice and my light bulbs were replaced although the bulbs were good. I couldn't see the road in front of me at night and almost drove off of a cliff. The radio/gps/bluetooth system continuously failed ten times. The service department replaced the radio. and amplifiers twice, although they were in working condition. This did not resolve the issue. The Jamaica service department explained that the issues that have been occurring are electrical and tried replacing the fuses to fix the reoccurring issues. When I bought the car to them to fix the radio issue in 2024 my charging and USB ports stopped working. The fuse issue has since caused other safety hazards. I returned to the service department at 6,600 miles, and af
... ter lifting the vehicle and conducting an inspection, the technician performed a road test. He identified a problem with the front axle, stating that it would need to be replaced. However, the technician also indicated that replacing the axle would not resolve the issue, as the same problem would likely recur within 700 miles. He further explained that the only way to permanently address this issue would be for Honda to issue a recall for the faulty component. Given that this problem concerns a critical safety feature of the vehicle, I am extremely concerned about driving a vehicle that may be unsafe. This is particularly troubling, as I purchased the vehicle brand new and have taken no action to cause this issue. The prospect of continuing to drive a vehicle with a component integral to both the safety and daily operation of the car is unacceptable. I would greatly appreciate your urgent attention to this matter and would like to explore any potential solutions that may be available in the interim.
