I have a constant issue with the power steering. This issue makes it hard for my vehicle to turn properly as well as when you go to turn a corner you have to be a body builder to get the car to even turn. There has been times when I am driving my car that I have to pull over to the side of the road very carefully because I feel like my car is going to die and then when I turn it off and then back on it acts like it has absolutely no power. I haven't gone anywhere to get my vehicle checked yet. Sudden and catastrophic shearing of the driver side rear suspension arm (control arm). My understanding is all these cars from Tesla have aluminum suspension arms which causes identical and catastrophic failure of the vehicle during driving due to choice of Aluminum instead of stainless steel(SS). Aluminum has an ultimate tensile strength of only 90 MPa while SS can exceed 500 MPa. Since my car go
... t disabled completely (motor gets disconnected from the wheel) I almost lost my life with vehicles coming at high speed from behind. I saw the same control arm failures with Tesla cars including S and 3 and X (like mine) all over the world. Here is an example of a very similar failure to mine on a model 3 in Norway : [XXX] The failure is so similar that even the wheel tilted inwards to the wheel bay just in my case due to the clean shearing of the aluminum bushing on the control arm. Subject: Inquiry Regarding Ball Joint and Control Arm Issues on My 2007 Jeep Liberty Dear support tech, I am writing to express my concerns regarding recurring issues with my 2007 Jeep Liberty, specifically with the driver-side ball joint and control arm. In 2019, I had the driver-side ball joint replaced at Firestone. However, on [XXX], I experienced a serious issue when the wheel became stuck
... while reversing out of a parking space. Fortunately, it occurred at low speed, and the vehicle was towed through my insurance. A family member was able to fix it temporarily. More recently, on February 25, 2025, I had new wheels installed at Firestone, where I was informed that there is an issue with both the front control arm and the left and right ball joints. Given that I don’t drive at high speeds and use the vehicle less frequently now, this seems unusual and concerning. I’ve seen reports about similar issues with same model and year (Reddit, jeep forums). Could this be a recurring problem specific to the Liberty model as I have seen there’s a recall for 2002-2006? I genuinely love my vehicle, but I’m growing frustrated with the ongoing repairs and costs. I would appreciate your insight into whether this is a known issue and what steps I can take to resolve it permanently. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response. After completing a 200-mile highway drive with my family in the vehicle, I performed a routine visual inspection of the undercarriage. During this inspection, I immediately noticed that one of the front coil springs appeared to be off-center in relation to the shock assembly. Upon closer examination, I discovered that both front coil springs had shifted significantly out of position. Even more ala
... rming, the coil spring on the passenger side had a complete fracture—it was fully cracked through. In addition, the misalignment of both springs had caused visible damage to the shock bodies, suggesting metal-on-metal contact had been occurring during operation. This is not a wear-and-tear issue or a cosmetic concern—this is a catastrophic suspension failure on a relatively new and well-maintained vehicle. Coil springs are a critical structural component designed to support the weight of the vehicle, absorb shocks, and maintain proper handling and ride height. A complete failure of one coil spring, coupled with misalignment of both, indicates either a serious design flaw or material defect. Had this failure progressed during our highway drive, especially at speed or during an evasive maneuver, the consequences could have been tragic—not only for my family, but for other drivers on the road. The loss of suspension integrity at highway speeds could lead to sudden loss of vehicle control, steering instability, or even a rollover. The fact that this occurred without any warning signs (no abnormal noises, ride quality changes, or handling issues were noticed prior to inspection) makes it even more concerning. This type of failure should not be happening on a modern pickup truck, especially one marketed for its toughness and reliability. I am filing this complaint in the hope that NHTSA investigates whether this is an isolated incident or part of a broader issue affecting other 2020 F-150s. If other vehicles are at risk of similar suspension failures, this poses a serious publRead more

Grand Design sent a mechanic down the next evening to put the axle back on so we could take it to the dealership. Took to dealership, they were supposed to make it "road worthy" so we could get it to GD Headquarters. This is a new to us vehicle so exactly how it "feels" when towing was also new to us. Noticed part way in the 482 miles to GD that the brakes associated with the previously problematic axle were not working, lots of brake dust on our truck. Once at GD they inspected and fixed multiple issues this caused after quite a bit of fighting with them as they did not want us to bring it to them. They also found we had a major leak in the regulator on our propane tank, mechanics exact words "you guys are lucky you didn't blow up". Our safety was put in extreme danger multiple times, as was anyone that might have been around us.
